Is ACET value for money?

Placements: There are 22 students in our batch among which 2 of us got placed in a local company. The average package is about 3.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Khanna Paper Mill, Luminous, Ericsson, etc. We are offered engineer role in the company we got selected.

Infrastructure: Hostel building is quite new and semi-furnished. Maximum room capacity is 4. Wi-Fi is available for each two rooms and is quite slow. The food is vegetarian and no non-vegetarian food is available in the hostel. Cricket and football tournaments are organized every semester.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. The overall teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is good but it may not make students industry-ready as a whole. Semester exams are moderate if compared to other universities. Pass percentage is 34%.

Other: I chose electrical engineering because I love it. I chose this college because I got admission on scholarship provided by the state government called JKSSS. Under this, I got admission randomly to the college.

Every college is good, only if you work passionately, otherwise not even IIT can make you succeed.

Placements: I don't know much but many students get placement in Wipro, luminous, etc. like companies. Our college is very good at improving the overall character and skill of the person. There are only 3 departments (Computer Science, Electrical, and Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering) for which companies offer seven-digit salaries. Hardly one/two for Chemical, Mechanical and that is it. For Aerospace, Architecture, Civil, Naval Architecture, Geology and Geophysics, Metallurgy and Mining departments, there are hardly companies that cross the seven-digit mark. Moreover, the average pay is in the lower half of six-digit salaries, even worse.

Infrastructure: I am not a hosteler but I heard that rooms are well, but the food is average. By the way, facilities are good in college like Wi-Fi, PCS, projectors, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are good, also they take practical sessions very seriously. Semester exams are not much tough, around 65% marks are sufficient to pass. Most of the professors are good. They put in a lot of effort in teaching. But getting them to change your marks is a bit impossible.

Other: Electricity is my passion, so that's why I joined. Only I have to improve myself self, everything else is best. Many types of events are organized by the college every month i.e. as technical, literature, religion, etc.
