Placements: Around 65% of students got placed in the B.Sc. data science course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 2.8 LPA, and the average package is about 4.5 LPA. Top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and some data-related startups hire students. Many also got jobs through off-campus drives and LinkedIn. Around 70% of students got internships during the course. Some go through college, while others do so by applying themselves. Companies like Cognizant, Internshala startups, EdTech firms, and data companies offered internships. Semester exams are not too hard if you attend classes and study on time. Most students pass without much problem. The pass rate is around 90%-95%. Other: I am from the 2024-2028 batch of B.Sc. In data science at Asansol Engineering College. I chose this course because I'm interested in coding, data and IT careers. The course covers Python, SQL, machine learning and data visualization starting from the basics. So even beginners can follow. Labs and projects make learning practical. More industry visits and company tie ups would help. The campus is clean and peaceful. Events like coding contests and cultural fests are held regularly. The crowd is friendly and from different states. Transport is easily available. Scholarships and sports facilities are also provided by the college.

It is fine and gives good infrastructure.

Placements: 78% of students are placed. The highest package is 7 LPA, the average is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant. The roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, and many more. There are many more companies that hire, but in terms of internships, there are no students who get internships from college. Thanks.

Infrastructure: All Wi-Fi is working, and all labs have AC. Classrooms are good, and the library is also good. The hostel provides an average quality of food, but the canteen provides much better food. As a sports person in my college, I am very thankful to be in this college.

Faculty: Teachers are not very helpful, except for 2 or 3 teachers, and they really help the students. The teachers are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is average. The curriculum is set by the MAKAUT board, I think, to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 4 CGPA.

Other: I chose this course because it is not provided by any other local colleges. The fest is one of the best parts of the college.

Facts of the B.Sc. in Data Science course at AEC.

Placements: Our branch or department has the highest number of placements in the past 2 years. I highly recommend any student interested in Information Technology. The average package offered ranges from 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Deloitte, PwC, etc. Roles offered are analyzing data from any dataset and creating projects on a machine learning model.

Infrastructure: Every classroom has a Wi-Fi connection with high roaming data. Hostels are too clean and Wi-Fi-enabled. Every warden and guard is friendly to everyone. Both boys and Girls have different places. Medical facilities are good. There is a doctor at our college every time.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and friendly to everyone in the college. The course material is too good and the best in the IT industry. There is every topic to cover. Semester exams are strict, and fully safe cheating will not happen there. The pass percentage is above 80%.
