I admire the college the most.

Placements: Placements of this college are good and very effective also. Some of my friends are doing jobs, and they all are very happy. Even our teachers are very helpful regarding placements. Moreover, the college staff and GS have also helped us.

Infrastructure: The infastructure of college is really nice. All the staff are helpful, and the majority of students in this college are from middle-class, so they wish for a bright future. Our principal is a friendly person. There are libraries and canteens here.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good and enjoyable. Teaching methods like whiteboards and marker are used, and projectors are used for seminars. Students are high in number compared to the faculty. We did not get any industry exposure, and the course curriculum was very useful.

Overall it is a good college for doing graduation under Calcutta University.

Placements: There was no placement cell in our college when I graduated. However, recently they are building up a placement cell which will provide placement offers from companies like TCS, Mahindra, Tata, etc. Since it is not an engineering college, the average salary package offered is around 3 LPA. I would personally suggest opting a better college as I am still jobless.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is okay, neither too good not too bad. Lab facilities are mediocre. There are a gym and a sports room. The food served in the canteen is good. There is a very old library and it needs better maintenance. There is no hostel facility available inside the college.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and qualified but need more permanent teachers. There were too many contractual teachers during my tenure. Teaching methods followed by them are okay. Industry exposure is low other than field trips, which are conducted to attend the exams. The quality of teaching was also good. Class tests and group discussions were helpful.

Other: There is a good auditorium inside the college for organising events. The college also has its own ground in Maidan for sports.

The infrastructure and facilities are really good.

Placements: Placement facilities are not provided. The students can only get a degree. The college doesn't have any placement cell. Our seniors said the same when we spoke to them about placements.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, sports and games facilities are present. A canteen is available, and the quality of food provided in our canteen is very good. No hostel facility is provided to the students. Two common rooms are available separately for boys and girls.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They treat us like their children. They are very qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is undoubtedly very good. The faculty are awesome. The office staff are also very helpful.

Other: The campus is very good. No scholarship is provided to the students.

Some of the faculty are bad. They do not try to help students. Still, these teachers are everywhere.

Placements: I was a student of B.Sc honours in physics. Some of our previous batch students had good ranks in all India exams. In our batch, me and one of our friends got a chance for M.Sc at IIT Delhi, one at IIT Hyderabad 3 at IIT Dhanbad and 2 at Calcutta University. At least 50% students of all the years get a chance in M.Sc. Some of the students are also at IISc Bengaluru.

Infrastructure: We had fine Wi-Fi. Our lab was good. The classrooms were also good. We had a central library and departmental libraries. Food quality in the canteen is very good. We do not have any hostel. Overall infrastructure of our college is good. No medical facilities were available till our batch.

Faculty: The faculty are really helpful in all the departments. Our physics department faculty members also take extra tutorial classes. Still, other departments are also very good. We had a good teacher for mathematics. In chemistry, the HOD was very helpful. The faculty members of our college are really good.

Other: This college is situated inside a heritage building and also within the famous “Boithakhana Bazaar”. Many legendary people have studied here. But at present, the condition of the college not so good though it always has many students than it can accommodate because it is near the Sealdah station. Boi para or college street, esplanade and many cinema halls are some of the benefits you get as a student. The college is famous for its strong union and past union fights. There are people who come here to train themselves at student’s politics at a larger level. On the bright side, the college has its own ground near the Eden Gardens. Also, this college is NAAC-accredited as B++ which means it is pretty good than many colleges. The fee is very nominal and there is a scope to waive off your fee too. This college has mainly all department with labs and well equipped library, it also has a computer training course from Webel, and this certification may be useful for many. During my study period, I have never seen anything violent happening here as compared to other colleges in the city.
