Our college doesn't teach extra things and doesn't develop students and doesn't encourage them to explore something new, Even teachers are not that much educated.

    The honest answers campus life.
Placements: Our college has 100 % placement. The lowest package is 4 LPA, the median is 6 LPA, and the highest is 12 LPA, but all this data is on campus placements. Many of my seniors did really well in off-campus, likely 20 to 25 LPA, and one also got into ISRO. The top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Cognizant, Amazon, etc. Almost 70 to 80 % of students got internship offers in the 3rd year of the course. Software engineer, software development, data analytics, etc., are some of the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good at my college. The full campus is covered by Wi-Fi, and we have fully air-conditioned facilities. We have computer labs, separate labs for other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, digital & analog, etc. Hostels for boys and girls have a cafeteria on our campus and a grocery shop for essential needs. We have a basketball court as well as ground for different sports like football, volleyball, and cricket. We have SKS Medical College and Vivekananda Hospital.
Faculty: Professors here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching way is decent, good as my college is affiliated with Makaut, so the examinations are controlled by their only the curriculum is not that much industry-relevant. The semester exams' toughness is very good. You can't score good marks by studying just one day paper pattern is completely unpredictable pass percentage is not that good during the initial semesters, but with time, by understanding the environment university paper toughness pass percentage gradually increase.
Other: I just like to explore new technologies, so that's why I joined this course. Our college has a fest named Aagaz (cultural) and Athleka (sports). My college has different clubs like Robonixx, Codevision, Cell, etc., which organize different events and bootcamps from time to time. Our college also funds startup funding for its students. It also offered scholarships to different students. Our college is also a ragging-free campus.

Review of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur
Placements: It’s helpful to see the breakdown by branch and the range of packages offered. Having a clear idea of the top recruiting companies and typical roles gives students a better sense of what to expect.
Infrastructure: BCET (Bengal College of Engineering and Technology) offers a variety of facilities. The campus has Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a large library. Hostel rooms are available in both single and shared options, with basic furnishings. The food in the mess is often described as average but healthy. Campus canteens provide more variety. For medical needs, there is a 24x7 first-aid center on campus. The college also has a gym and sports facilities for games like cricket, football, and table tennis. Overall, the infrastructure is considered good.
Faculty: For Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) in Durgapur, feedback is mixed. Many students find the teachers helpful and knowledgeable, with some holding Ph.Ds. However, some reviews indicate the teaching quality can be average. The curriculum is generally considered relevant to the industry, but opinions differ on how well it prepares students for jobs. Many agree that students need to do their own work to be truly industry-ready. Semester exams are considered difficult, but some reports show a high pass percentage, suggesting that students can succeed with proper preparation.

Review of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: 50 percent of students are placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. The average package was 4 Lacs and the highest package was 12 Lacs per annum. Internships are provided after the 2nd semester. You have to do some projects and gain some skills to perform the internships and get stipend .
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good. Veg and non-veg both are provided by the hostel. Most of the students are from Bihar rather than Bengal and some of the students are from Jharkhand. The hostel campus is a good and peaceful place. The warden is helping by nature and supportive.
Faculty: All the teachers and faculty are very supportive in nature and helping the students. Although here semester exams are moderate to tough. The main subjects are 3 in 1st semester engineering math, basic electrical, and engineering physics.

    Real face of BCET Durgapur.
Placements: 60% of students got placed but not in tech field. The highest package is 6 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and average package is 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are Teachnook and Corizo. 0% as there are no big companies for internships. Something eduskill company is only there to give an internship, and no one has done it.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi. We never saw labs. We have green board classrooms with least amount of space and benches. Library is only for issuing books only. Quality of food is like getting atleast 1 insect in every 10 students. Medical room is there but there is never a doctor or nurse as it is a store room. Playground is full of huge grass like about 4 feet, but some way of playing sports or online game is there.
Faculty: Teachers are never helpful, qualified, or knowledgeable. The teaching quality is sending PDF to Google classroom only. We have used ChatGPT in exams and still got backlogs, then we started leaking papers and got all the chits before, and still got backlogs.

Good placement scope for students if they have skills. Faculty members could have been better.
Placements: Talking particularly about my batch which is ECE of 2021-2025 we got a lot of placement offers from many organizations. They have a salary range of 3 LPA-9 LPA. Every student got placed in different companies according to their overall GPA and skills in top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Bitchem, MghInfra, Intellipath, Edutantr, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good only as per the rating of the college. They have a particular lab for almost all departments where 75%-80% of the equipment is working. Hostel is average as expected not so Hi-Fi but decent. The cleaning staff is there but not consistent and hostel mess food I would rate 2.5/5.
Faculty: Course Curriculum is as per today's market requirements and teachers are also there with a mix of good and average faculty members. The exam pattern and the standard are good only I would rate that 4/5 but sometimes the questions asked in end-semester exams are very irrelevant to the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I had a keen interest in computers and technology so ECE gives opportunity for both IT industry as well as core industries. Talking about fests, we have fests every semester and events of NSS and other clubs almost every semester with involvement of everyone.

Good infrastructure but worst faculties. Placement and internship opportunities.
Placements: In my course, CSE, a pretty good percentage of students were placed, but most of them were placed off-campus. On-campus placement is pretty bad. In my first-year orientation, the college told us the highest package was 24 lacs per annum and the average package was around 5 lacs, but all of that was false, as we understand now. Only sales companies come. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Amazon. In my college, the internship percentage is very bad. Our faculty members only provide an AICTE virtual internship, which is worthless.
Infrastructure: The only thing that my college has is its infrastructure. Our college has one of the biggest campuses in our city, Durgapur. The labs are very good. We have Windows 11 on almost every computer in our lab. Our college has a pretty big library, but nowadays, the Wi-Fi system is the worst. There is a pretty big playground at our college. Also, the hostels are very good, but the hostel food is a little bit oily. Nowadays, we have smart classrooms in our college. Because of a Durga temple, our hostel and campus do not allow non-veg food.
Faculty: The main and worst thing about our college is our faculty members. They do not have any proper degree or teaching quality. Teachers change every 1-2 months, and that affects our studies and the completion of the syllabus. Semester examinations are conducted by MAKAUT, formerly known as WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology). The passing percentage is very bad, though.
Other: I chose this course because my JEE rank was pretty bad, so I didn't get into any government college. And at that time, in 2022, the CSE fees for almost all private colleges were around 4 lacs, but other colleges wanted donations, which were not affordable for my family, and this college didn't take any donations. There are many events there, like ATHLEKA, our annual sports day, which is held in December, an annual fest in March, and Foundation Day in September. Also, there are Biswakarma Puja and Saraswati Puja. The college provides us with the SVMCM scholarship, through which we can get 60,000 per year.
