Review of Berhampore Polytechnic College.

Placements: Around 36% to 47% of students of our batch were placed which is 209 to 220 students. More than 30% of students were placed among our seniors. The highest salary offered was Rs.13,500 per month and the lowest salary was Rs.10,000 per month. Companies like TCS, Gabriel, Wipro, etc., visited the campus to offer placements in the IT sector, and the rest of the companies that visited for placements were from the construction department.

Infrastructure: College doesn't provide any Wi-Fi facilities. We can't even use our mobile network. There are sufficient labs and classrooms. Medical facilities provided are not good. Sports and games are not much of important but the college organises annual cricket and football tournaments for all the departments. There are 40 hostel rooms. The quality and quantity of food offered in the canteen are not good.

Faculty: All the professors are very helpful, highly qualified, knowledgeable, and very friendly which helps us to feel very comfortable learning from them. Theoretical and practical sessions are conducted for students.

Other: Campus crowd was a bit noisy. Fests and social events are organised very well.

It is one of the best colleges to make life better. It has good infrastructure and placements.

Placements: About 78% of the students from our course got placed. L&T is the top recruiter of our course, and there are many roles, but the top role offered in our course is a supervisor. The highest salary package offered in our course is 1.2 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA. About 75% of the students got internships, and many companies like L&T, Honda, etc., offer internships here.

Infrastructure: Our course is purely based on automobiles, and we are trained to repair 4-wheeler and 2-wheeler and many engines like petrol and diesel. Our classroom is very good, and a workshop is conducted for training purpose. The hostel is good, and the mess is also good. But the medical facility and sports are bad.

Faculty: Teachers here are humble, helpful in studies, and they try their best to teach. Their education system is good, and their teaching style is also good. This course makes us industry-ready because we learn how to repair a car, and also we visited the industry.

Other: I have chosen this course because only for jobs. I like cars.

Candidate must have passed /appeared Madhyamik or Class 10th Equivalent Board Examinations with Science / Physical Science and Mathematics from any recognized Board/ Council/ Institute. There is no upper age limit, but candidate’s Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2009. Candidate must be an Indian Citizen. Candidate should not have any Colour Blindness and candidate should be Physically and Mentally fit.

Counselling
Admission is through counseling conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development based on the rank obtained in Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO). Remaining seats for management quota are filled through merit in class 10th examinations.
