Went to an unknown place but eventually found a home.

Placements: The college does not provide any kind of placement opportunities to students. The students are only helped by professors who get and share different types of opportunities with the students, but it is not quite helpful. A new career counseling cell has been formed, but for the proper functioning of the cell, it will take some time and effort.

Infrastructure: Many science departments have labs for their practical classes, but some of them are not maintained well and are in poor condition. Apart from that, there are some classrooms that are well-equipped with ICT boards but are not cleaned on a regular basis. The college does not provide a hostel and has no proper medical facilities, but there is a canteen. However, most of the time it’s closed, and the food there is not very cheap, but it’s quite good. The sports facilities and gymnasium are available at the college, but most of the time they are closed.

Faculty: The teachers were highly helpful and experienced. Their teaching quality was very good and friendly. The course curriculum was quite relevant, but it lacked the students' hands-on training in the industry. The college conducted internal exams, which were quite hard, and the semester exams were conducted by the university itself. Many students struggled to pass, with a pass percentage of 30 percent in every single paper.

Other: I chose the course as it was the subject that I liked the most, and I was very keen to study the subject. Most particularly, the course should include internships and a handful of experiences; apart from that, it is quite good. The students were given SVMCM scholarships by the Government of West Bengal to the meritorious students. The campus was in the proper city; that is why it was highly connected and had a good, green location.

Good infrastructure but there is no placement facility in the college .

Placements: No placement facility is there in the college. There is no place meant facility. None has come to recruit us. If they look. Through LinkedIn and others they find one but the college itself doesn't take any initiative to give us internship the roles actually depends upon the course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, with proper fans and lighting, but some of them are not maintained. The library is well-equipped with lots of books, and I don't know about the entire college, but our department has a separate Wi-Fi connection, and the canteen has been closed. I don't know why.

Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and experienced. The teaching quality is quite good. The college does have a system for industrial training, and maybe they are going to build one. The semester exams don't happen at this college; we have to go to another college to give them. The pass percentage is 30 percent.

Other: I was quite interested in the subject, which is why. I get to know about the different aspects of geography, and it helps me understand the world better. I would like to place more emphasis on the internship part and field or practical work. A scholarship is available.

Good college with organized curriculum and decent placement.

Placements: Our college offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in non-technical courses. Therefore, there is no direct placement through the institute. However, the Placement and Career Counselling Committee ends continuous guidance and support that facilitates placements once the course duration is complete. Around 67%-77% of the students get placed every year after they pass out.

Infrastructure: Every department possesses UGC-sponsored smart classes that are well-equipped with projectors, a digital sound system and a Pen display. The campus provides an uninterrupted internet facility. It has resourceful laboratories to carry out the experiential works. The central library of our college has an abundant collection of the latest textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines etc. There is also a huge playground where students can play various outdoor games.

Faculty: Highly proficient faculty members and young-seeking minds are a perfect combination that contribute to the growth of each and every department. The course curricular are well-structured. The evaluation pattern helps in the shaping of critical thinking of students. Therefore, students need to study throughout the year and understand every concept carefully to score well in the examinations.

Other: The campus life is quite amiable and students are diligent and dedicated to the curricular and extracurricular activities. There are college as well as departmental magazines where the works and achievements of teachers and students are published. NSS activities, blood donation camps, excursions, seminars etc. Are also held frequently.

Best college for pursuing geography honors.

Placements: From 67% to 77%, students get placed every year. The best role offered is Cartographer, which is the highest-paying job for our department, starting from 17 LPA to 23 LPA. There are other roles such as urban planner, landscaped architect, and surveyor, with a starting salary from 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is highly powerful in our college, and there is always a network present in every corner of the college campus for our usage. The library is always full of students but peaceful, as no phones are allowed; only laptops can be taken inside for study. Canteen food is very cheap, and the quality is okay for our own taste.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified in their teaching professions. Their knowledge is very high, as some of them have already worked for big geology institutes, and some of them are gold medalists in their degrees. Our HOD, sir, has completed a Ph.D. on volcanic erosion, and he has worked for UNESCO rescue operations, as he told us.

Other: College campus is so crowded during the morning and in the afternoon.

Best college because very experienced faculty available.

Placements: In this course approximately 50-60% of students are placed. The highest package offered was around INR 5 Lacs per annum and the lowest package was INR 2.5 lacs per annum. In this course internship facilities available but low salary. Prominent recruiters for our course included Geography research firms and Environment Study etc. Or you can go to future study.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure in this college really good because I am recently visited in this college. Wi-Fi Speed is overall is good. Big laboratory room and Classrooms are projectors connect also the Library facilities available. But in this college no hostel facility available. Food court inside our college. Medical facilities available. Our department arrange per year sports and games.

Faculty: Specially Our department faculty members very helpful and very knowledgeable. They provide all types of guidance to our final year project. They are very friendly and supporting. Some professor recently achev the award. They have provide all types of notes to preparing the exam can't difficult in this college. Above 90% students are passed.

In my opinion, best faculty members are available in this college.

Placements: In this course, the college gives approximately 50% to 60% placements. This course placement depends on your interest. The highest package offered was around INR 5 LPA, while the lowest was around INR 2.5 LPA. This course has internship facilities available. Prominent recruiters for our course include geography research firms and environmental companies.

Infrastructure: Bidhannager government college infrastructure is overall good. They have the college infrastructure and Wi-Fi facilities available. Specific classrooms are projector-connected. Good reference and note books are available in our library. Out side the college a big playground and the nearest metro station available. Hostel facilities are not available. Food court inside our college. Our department arranges per-year sports.

Faculty: Good faculty members are available in our department; they are very knowledgeable and they support our future planning. They provide all types of guidance to complete our final year project. Some teachers are gold medalists. In this college semester, exams can be difficult but not impossible. Basically, in our department, all students pass.

Best teachers are available for geography with nice lab.

Placements: 78% students in our college got placement as surveyor, map scalers, and field analysts in top companies like TCS, Google Map service INC, Cognizant, etc. 67 percent of students got an internship chance from top companies for 6 months and we have given so much placement support.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very fast in my college and no doubt it is faster than the Jio 4G network. Labs are maintained and cleaned by staff members and lab workers. Labs are updated every semester with new equipment and new hardware. The computers that are in the labs are all LCD-based.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. And their teaching talent and student-maintaining skills are very smart. Teachers are very practical, but they are helpful in studies and have proved notes that are enough for semester exams. Pass percentage is usually 99%.

Other: I love to be an earth surveyor, as it is one of the highest-paying jobs.

Good College for Studies. Faculty members are good too.

Placements: In the graduation level Bidhannagar College offers B.Sc. , B.A. regular courses. As a result no top recruit companies come for placement. However, this does not simply that studies are being compromises. Because, there is good education here, students can complete their graduation and work in companies off campus to earn a good profit.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is adequate here. There is Wi-fi throughout the building but it is a little slow. The geography departments classrooms are fairly huge, and the lab is pretty large. Side from that, this college offers a hostel consumption in canteens on average.

Faculty: The entire faculty is excellent and helpful. The majority of them are experienced and knowledgeable. Our curriculum is straightforward and well designed. Semester exams are clearly difficult, but teachers prepare us for them so that we don't have any problem.
