CDAC C-CAT 2026 Result - Section-Wise Rankings
CDAC C-CAT candidates will be provided ranks based on their performance in Section A, Section A+B, and Sections A+B+C of C-CAT. If a candidate appears for multiple sections and qualifies for them, he or she will be provided with multiple ranks. For example, if a candidate appears for Sections A and B by choosing Category II in the application form, he or she will be provided with two ranks: (i) based on the performance in Section A, and (ii) based on the performance in Sections A+B.
According to the admission booklet released on the official website, candidates with the lowest 20% performance in section A and section B and the lowest 10% performance in section C of C-CAT will not be qualified for ranking in that particular section and its higher sections. Even after the removal of the lowest performers as stated above, if there exist candidates in any section with zero or less than zero marks, then these candidates will also not be qualified for ranking.
All qualified candidates will be awarded Category I ranks based on their performance in Section A. Qualified candidates who have selected Category II in the C-CAT application form will be awarded Category I and II ranks based on their performance in Sections A and A+B. Qualified candidates who have selected Category III will obtain Category I, II and III ranks based on their performances in Sections A, A+B and A+B+C.
CDAC C-CAT 2026 Ranking Structure
- Category I Rank: Based on performance in Section A only
- Category II Rank: According to the performance in Section A + B
- Category III Rank: As per performance in Section A + B + C
CDAC CCAT 2026 : Important Notes on Ranking
- Qualifying Criteria: Candidates in the lowest 10–20% of any section, or those with zero or negative marks, may not be qualified for ranking in that section. You will receive separate ranks based on the sections you attempted (e.g., Rank A, Rank A+B, or Rank A+B+C) in your CDAC CCAT exam.
- Good Rank Targets: For popular courses like PG-DAC, a rank under 1500 is generally considered competitive, while top CDAC CCAT 2026 exam centres like CDAC Pune often require a rank below 500
CDAC C-CAT 2026 Result - Tie Breaking Guidelines
There may be cases when two or more candidates secure the same marks in the CDAC C-CAT 2026. In such situations, the listed guidelines will be followed in the given order.
- Candidates having more marks in Section A will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie persists, then the candidate having a higher value in the ratio of 'number of correct answers/number of attempted questions' in the specific section required only for that category of courses will be given the higher rank.
-
Candidates who have the same value of this ratio and have the exact total as well as Section-A marks will be given the same C-CAT rank.
