Balanced college life with strong academics and growing placement opportunities.

Placements: I’m from the 2025–2029 B.Tech CSE (Data Science) batch. Seniors told us placements are decent here. Around 75–80 percent of students in CSE and related branches get placed. The highest package went around ₹18–20 LPA, the average is about ₹4–5 LPA, and the lowest around ₹3 LPA. Many top recruiters like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Deloitte, and Amazon visit the campus. A lot of students also get internship opportunities through campus drives and events like hackathons. Roles are mostly in software development, testing, and data analysis.

Infrastructure: The campus is quite modern and spacious. Classrooms have smart boards, and labs are equipped with good systems and Wi-Fi. The library is air-conditioned and offers both physical and digital resources. Hostel rooms are decent for two people with attached bathrooms. Mess food is okay, not amazing, but better than most colleges. The campus also has medical facilities, sports areas, and a small canteen with snacks and coffee. There are hangout areas where students chill after classes. Overall, it's a comfortable environment for study and hostel life.

Faculty: Teachers here are generally good and well-qualified. They explain concepts clearly and are approachable if you need help. The Data Science curriculum includes coding, statistics, and basic machine learning topics from the start, which is great for building a foundation. Exams aren't very tough; if you attend classes and prepare well, you can easily score good marks. Internal assessment also helps balance final grades. The course does a fair job at preparing students for the industry needs.

Other: I'm a first-year B.Tech CSE (Data Science) student (Batch 2025–2029). I picked this course because I'm interested in data, AI, and how technology solves real problems. The course focuses on both coding and analytics, which makes it future-ready. I like how the environment encourages self-learning and teamwork. I wish they'd add more real-world projects in the early semesters. College surroundings are peaceful, and there's always something going on, fests, workshops, or club events. Scholarships are available too, which helps students financially. students financially.

Placements: The placement environment at CGC University is promising in each and every course. The highest package of our university is 1 CPA. Our university works for the all-round development of each and every student and provides us with different facilities across different courses.

Infrastructure: Our college provides us with hostel facilities. Hostel infrastructure is very good. There are separate hostels for boys and girls on campus. This is a safe and comfortable home away from home for the students of CGC University, Mohali . The hostel mess serves hygienic food and also provides us with 24/7 Wi-Fi facility.

Faculty: The faculty of CGC University is highly qualified. Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The faculty of our university is engaged in providing us with practical knowledge. Overall, the faculty is very supportive, cooperative, and always there to help students.

Other: College organizes various fests as well as events that boost our knowledge and confidence. Recently, our university organized Saviskar 2025, which included technical, non-technical, and cultural programs.

Good college with solid placements, decent infrastructure, and supportive faculty

Placements: I’m a first-year B.Tech CSE (Data Science) student (Batch 2025–2029), but based on seniors’ feedback, placements here are quite good. Around 80–85 percent of CSE students get placed every year. The highest package last year is around 22 LPA, average goes around 5–6 LPA, and the lowest around 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, and some product-based startups. A good number of students also get internships through college tie-ups and hackathons, especially in tech and data roles.

Infrastructure: The college campus is clean and well-maintained. Our labs are updated with decent systems, classrooms have projectors, and Wi-Fi works fine most of the time. The library is well-stocked and also has a digital section. Hostels are decent rooms are good enough for two students, and washrooms are clean. The mess food is average but hygienic. There’s a gym, sports ground, medical room, and small shops inside campus. You can chill in the open areas; overall, the vibe is peaceful.

Faculty: The faculty for CSE and Data Science is quite knowledgeable and approachable. Most teachers are helpful if you actually take interest. The curriculum is relevant to current tech trends like Python, AI, and Machine Learning. They also include hands-on labs and minor projects. Exams aren’t too difficult if you study regularly, internal marks help too. Pass percentage is quite high since teachers guide you well before exams.

Other: I’m from the 2025–2029 B.Tech CSE (Data Science) batch. I chose this course because data science is the future and I wanted to learn AI and analytics early on. The course covers practical skills like Python and ML from the start. Campus life is good with a friendly crowd, tech fests, and cultural events. Connectivity to Chandigarh and Mohali is easy. I just wish there were more hands-on projects and upgraded lab systems. Overall, it’s a nice place to learn, explore, and grow with supportive teachers and a peaceful environment.

The infrastructure and hostel facilities are very good, we have medical facilities as well.

Placements: 90 percent of students are placed in my career. 15 LPA is the highest package offered in my course. 100 percent of students got internships from my course. The college provides a good platform for students regarding placement. There is a separate department for placement, and they also take classes.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and the facilities are good. But the food is average in hostels, sometimes not good. There are different menus for each day of the week. The canteen is good, and the medical facilities are also good, we have a dispensary as well. We have Wi-Fi on campus, digital library, labs, and classrooms are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. They are very friendly and understanding. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very easy. Teachers provide important questions and help students with their exam preparation.

Other: My parents motivated me to take this course. The college conducts events frequently. Campus crowd is good. Connectivity is average. The campus is surrounded by greenery and gardens. Students are getting 100 percent scholarships.

Placements: I am currently pursuing MBA from CGC University Mohali. Its such a cathartic experience since I have taken over admission in this University. Overall experience with placement coordinators is also great. They are all really supportive of us.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and course curriculum of this University are both great. Each and every day is a new learning experience for us.

Faculty: All faculty members in our department are very good. I will say that my experience with all the faculty including my mentor is awesome. Overall satisfied review for this dimension or aspect of the college exams is my first experience here. I appeared for both mid semester exams. Whenever any kind of support is required the faculty is very supportive along with the mentors. They truly appreciate us.

Other: In the CGCUET exam I got a 40 percent scholarship.
