Good campus infrastructure. But academics and student facilities need improvement.
Placements: Students who work hard and have a mindset to achieve their goals put in some effort. With the guidance of the faculty and staff of this university, they can achieve a lot of things. In this university, you will see many types of courses providing you with opportunities in every field.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well maintained, and food quality is also good and better than most of the colleges. I have visited some colleges in CHD, but I found that CGC University has the best hostel and food facility. There are many industrial collaborations here, and many departments which give up opportunities in every type of field, whether you like acting, sports, dancing, coding, programming, event management, or a lot of things. Everything a student needs is available here, whether it is quality food, restaurants, parks, a gym, a health care facility, mental support, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are very passionate about teaching. The course curriculum is relevant. The studies are industry-oriented. Semester exams depend on how hard you work. If you study regularly, you can score good grades. Teachers are supportive and understanding towards students.
Other: Events are well organized and well performed. Everything is good here.

You can chose this if you are not getting admission in any government or good private college.
Placements: The highest placement package was 1 crore last year. Overall placement is not bad. I don't know the placement percentage. Top recruiting companies are Google, Mera, etc. Many roles are offered in the college.
Infrastructure: I am not in the hostel. I don't know about the hostel. I know about the facility of vending machines. Drinking water, parcel delivery at the main gate of the college, lift, and other facilities are provided by the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Curriculum is good. Exams are conducted. Course curriculum is relevant. Online material, notes, etc., are provided. I don't know about the difficulty level of semester exams. I don't know the pass percentage.
Other: The crowd is good. Campus life is not bad. Canteen, stationery shop, food shop, etc., are provided. Fests are conducted.

Absolutely satisfied because the faculty is very good and the placements are also good.
Placements: Placement in the college is also good. They have an average package of 7.5 to 8 LPA. The highest package in the college is 1 CPA. Top companies that came were Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, GoDaddy, Adobe, and ServiceNow. The highest package offered by Amazon was 45 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities of the college are great. They are available whenever you need them. The infrastructure is also great. They have modern classrooms and advanced labs. The mess food and hostel rooms are great. They have a playground, basketball court, computer labs, and AC rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. The semester exams are not that tough. They are moderate, and students can pass easily. Teachers help students a lot with their studies. They also listen to their problems. We also have mentors who address our problems and help solve them.
Other: I chose this college because I want to become a software engineer. The fests and campus life are great.

Overall, the college is the best in everything.
Placements: Placements at CGC University are supported by a dedicated placement team. The team also focuses on career development. Students receive training in technical skills. They also get aptitude training. Communication skills are given importance. Interview preparation is also provided. The best thing about this course is the practical exposure we get.
Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure for the course, including classrooms, computer labs, Wi-Fi, and a library. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with mess and canteen facilities available. Campus life is vibrant, with annual fests like Saviskar.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally helpful. They are qualified and supportive. They explain concepts clearly. The curriculum covers important technical and practical subjects and provides a good foundation for industrial requirements. I believe this course could be improved by updating the curriculum.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in this field. It also has strong career prospects. The best thing about this course is the practical exposure we get.

Best college in Chandigarh.
Placements: Placement in this college is very good. The average package is 15 LPA, and they also provide training specially for Capgemini which helps in placement a lot. The highest package from this college is of 1 crore per annum. Recently some student got 45 LPA package in GoDaddy.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Classrooms have smart boards and projectors, and labs are well-equipped. Hostel rooms are spacious and clean. The mess food is amazing and gives a homely feeling. The wardens here are very supportive and cooperative.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are very supportive and kind. They try to solve every doubt. The course subjects are also well aligned with industry demands. It is more practical and skill based then theoretical. The semester exams are moderate level, not too tough or easy.

Overall, CGC University, Mohali is best for B.Tech.
Placements: I am from the B.Tech CSE batch 2023-27 at CGC University Mohali. The placement rate for our course is around 85-90%. The highest package offered was around 45-50 LPA, the average package is 5-6 LPA, and the lowest is around 3-3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Amazon, Deloitte and IBM. Around 70-80% of students got internships from the college in companies like TCS, Infosys and many startups. Top roles offered are Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, Data Analyst, and QA Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the CSE department is very good. We have high-speed Wi-Fi across campus, modern computer labs with the latest systems, smart classrooms, and a big central library with all books and digital access. Hostel facilities are also good, with clean rooms, 24/7 security and Wi-Fi. The mess food is decent and hygienic, with a different menu daily, and the canteen has many options. Medical facilities, a sports ground, a gym, a basketball court and all games are available on campus. Overall, the campus is clean and well maintained.
Faculty: The faculty at CGC University Mohali is very experienced and supportive. Most teachers are PhD holders and have good industry knowledge. Teaching quality is good. They explain concepts with practical examples and are always ready to clear doubts. The course curriculum is updated and very relevant; it includes the latest technologies like AI, ML, and Cloud Computing which makes us industry ready. We have regular workshops, industrial visits and seminars. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. Pass percentage is very high, around 95%.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE because I have an interest in coding and technology, and CGC University is known for good placements in CSE. The best things about the course are practical learning, good labs, and placement support. Things that can be improved are more focus on advanced coding and more core company visits. Campus life is very vibrant and enjoyable. The crowd is friendly, with students from all over India. Many events and fests like Parivartan, DJ nights, and tech fests happen every year. The campus surroundings are peaceful, and connectivity to Chandigarh is good via buses. The college also provides scholarships via CGC CUET and extracurricular activities.

Average university and placements.
Placements: Placements are average, considering it is a private college; however, given the high level of competition, it's very low, and the packages are very low, with most student touching about 4-5 LPA. The college placement cell trains students well through DPDCA programmes and subjects like Amplitude.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi and labs are excellent, but the classrooms and non-AC. The library is huge, peaceful, and modern, with many books available. Food options are very low quality, but the variety is large. Canteens are so crowded that we have to wait at least 20-30 minutes for our order.
Faculty: The faculty members are supportive, but as a first semester B.Tech CSE student, there has been no instructor for the IP subject for three weeks, which shows a lack of professionalism and responsiveness. Most teachers are effective; there are a few exceptions. A few faculty members often target students, making it difficult to focus on academics.
Other: The crowd is quite average. Personally, I am not satisfied with the campus crowd, although the fests are really good; however, even for those, they charge an additional fee for freshers.

It depends upon your domicile.
B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main for Punjab domicile candidates.
For the candidates belonging to other states, the admission to B.Tech is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling conducted by PTU.
