Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Admission Process 2025
Earlier known as The Food Craft Institute, Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (CIHM) is affiliated to The National Council for Hotel Management (NCHMCT), Ministry of Tourism as well as IGNOU. The institute offers five courses, of which one is a UG course and others are Diploma courses.
To enhance the skill-based employability, CIHM Chandigarh also supports ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ programme, which is free of cost for all students enrolled at the institute. Apart from the 18 faculty members, eminent personalities from the hospitality industry deliver guest lectures at CIHM to encourage and educate the students.

The Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (CIHMCT)2 offers two different kinds of certificate programmes.
- Craftsmanship Certificate Program in Food Production & Patisserie: 70 students can enrol in this one-year program. The minimum qualification is a 10th grade Diploma with English as a required subject. For general and OBC candidates, the age limit is 25, and for SC and ST candidates, it is 28.
- Craftsmanship Certificate Program in Food and Beverage Service: 70 students are accepted for this six-month program. The minimum qualification is a 10th grade Diploma with English as a required subject. For general and OBC candidates, the age limit is 25, and for SC and ST candidates, it is 28.
The admission process for both the courses is based on merit and availability of seats. The application forms are available offline at the institute.

CIHM Chandigarh BSc Admission 2025
CIHM offers a three-year full-time degree course in hospitality and hotel administration. This course is jointly offered by NCHMCT and IGNOU. The upper age limit for General and OBC category applicants is 22 years. For SC/ST students, this age limit is relaxed by three years. The final selection is one on the basis of score obtained in NCHMCT JEE.

CIHM application process for all the courses is an online procedure. The process for BSc is according to the guidelines of NCHMCT whereas for Diploma courses, the institute decides the admission process. To fill BSc application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps
- Visit the official website of NCHMCT and register yourself as a new user. An application number and a password will be generated.
- Use the password to login to your account.
- Fill in required details.
- Upload any required documents.
- Pay any application fees (INR 900 for General, INR 800 for EW and INR 450 for SC/ST).
- Once you receive the confirmation, download the application form and take a printout for future reference.
