CIET Patiala Admission Process 2025
Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET) was established in 2002 in Patiala, Punjab under the Chitkara Educational Trust. The institute is AICTE-approved, affiliated to Chitkara University and ranked among top 50 private engineering colleges in India. The institute is known for being the first preference of engineering aspirants in north India, including Punjab because of its constant 100 per cent record in placements. CIET offers programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level.
CIET Patiala Admission Process 2025
CIET admission for BE and ME programmes is based on a valid score in JEE Main and GATE respectively, followed by a personal interview. For other courses such as BCA, MCA (Lateral Entry) candidates must appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by the institute. The date and time for the PI are specified after shortlisting and inviting after assessment of the application forms.

- Students who enrol for this programme can do their Bachelor’s as well as Master of Computer Application without a break

CIET Patiala PG Admission 2025: ME, MCA

On successful completion of the programme, students are given an option to choose any of the following opportunities (based on selection criteria):
- Direct entry to the Fellowship PhD programme and work as Research Associate at Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN)
- A career in teaching at School of EE/ CS/ or Civil Engineering
- At the end of second year, the students can have an opportunity to take direct admission into PhD (fellowship) programme of Chitkara University

CIET Patiala Application Process 2025
Candidates can follow the CIET application process in three ways. The application fee is Rs 1,100.
Option 1: Purchase an application from any of the Chitkara Information Centres. Below are the steps to follow while applying:
- Fill all the mandatory fields in the form
- Affix a recent passport-size photo
- Enclose the copies of documents (Class 10, Class 12 and graduation)
- Enclose a DD against the application fee in favour of ‘Chitkara University’ payable at Chandigarh
- Send the complete form to the below address through post:

Option 2: Download the application form, brochure, fee information for offline submission and follow the below steps:
- Take a print out of the application form available at institute’s online application portal (https://admissions.chitkara.edu.in/login)
- And follow the same steps as mentioned in the first option
Option 3: Apply online followed by the below are the steps:
- Open the online application portal
- Enter complete details
- Upload copies of documents (Class 10, Class 12 and graduation)
- Pay the application fee online and submit the form
Note: The application process is of around 15-20 minutes. Candidates can save their application form in between and complete later. In case candidates don't have their documents ready, they can send the same on a later date.
The institute offers four types of scholarship schemes for the eligible and selected students:

No, you cannot enrol in the CIET directly. The programmes offered by the CIET are not intended to give pupils academic instruction directly; rather, they are meant to improve the knowledge and skills of educators. The majority of CIET's modest facilities and resources are allocated to training, research, and development initiatives. There is no infrastructure or mechanism in place at CIET to handle admissions and academics for students.

In the first week of February 2024, the application form might be made available. The third week of March 2024 is the deadline for submitting the application. You have until the first week of April 2024 to make corrections to the information on the application. In the second week of April 2024, the exam location will be revealed. The admission card will be distributed to the candidates in early May 2024. The exam for the reserved category will be scheduled the week after the exam for the general category ends in May 2024, and it will take place in the exam centre that you have been assigned.

That depends on the B.Tech you are taking, CIET's seat intake may differ slightly from it. The total seat intake for B.Tech in Computer Science and engineering stands at 120. Some 60 seats are intaken for B.Tech Electrical and communication engineering. The number accepting B.Tech in Artificial intelligence and data Science is about 60 seats or so. Other than this course, all other courses will each take 30-60 students a year.
