A college with good infrastructure and faculty members, along with great college life.
Placements: I'm currently a second-year student, and after hearing from the final year students and the alumni, Campus placement is average in our college. The highest ever package received from our college is 12 LPA. Recruiting companies like Infosys and Cognizant had offered placements in our college. Mostly in software development roles.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good, with proper Wi-Fi and smartboards. Our college library is vast and has a great range of books. I'm a day scholar, so from the experience of my friends staying at a hostel, they would give it a 3 out of 5 rating. Wi-Fi is available there, and there is Mess food.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. Very much educated and experienced. I was in the first batch of the 2024 scheme KTU syllabus, so there were huge changes in the syllabus of our course, but still, the teachers had no issues teaching the new syllabus, and everything is going well. We have 2 internal series examinations before the main exam, and the questions are created by the faculty members themselves; the exams are conducted well.
Other: Computer Science is a vast field where there are multiple opportunities available, so for that reason, I chose Computer Science.

There is a good campus environment and faculty members. Overall, placements are below average here.
Placements: Only 10% of students from our course got placed in my course. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest package offered is 5 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. I don't know how many students got internships. I guess students find internships on their own. Recruiting companies change a lot, so I am not sure about it.
Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is not bad. Some computers in our lab are old and do not function properly. Wi-Fi is not strong but usable. Food in the canteen is also not that bad. Hostels are not bad, as I heard. I don't know much about it as I am a day scholar. Classrooms are good. Everything is working properly here.
Faculty: Many faculty members are good and friendly. They try their best to make our studies easy. The course curriculum is pretty outdated. Some subjects are up to date but not effective. They do not make us industry-ready. Semester exams are neither difficult nor easy.
Other: I chose the CSE course so that I can work in the tech field. It would have been better if our courses were industry-relevant and up to date. A lot of events, fests, and other extracurricular activities are held on our campus. There are no issues there.

It has decent faculty members, good placements, and decent infrastructure.
Placements: I am a B.Tech CSE student, and I am from the 2024-28 batch. 10-15 percent of students from my course get placed. The highest package offered is 1.24 crores per annum. The lowest package offered ranges from 2-3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, UST, IBS Software, Quest Global, Tata Elxsi, Capgemini, etc., visit the college to hire students. I do not know about on-campus internship offers. The top roles, like software engineering, software developer, IT analyst, technical support engineer, programmer analyst, system engineer, associate software engineer, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is pretty decent, and the connection range is mostly around labs, so it does not affect lab sessions. Labs are pretty decent. Almost all systems work properly, but occasionally some don't, and get fixed within days. Classrooms are okay, and they are pretty clean. There is a smart projector in most classes. The library is decent and well-maintained. I am a day scholar, so I am not sure about college hostels. I heard that they are pretty okay with Wi-Fi connections and everything. The quality of food served is decent. The canteen is pretty well maintained and clean. Medical and sports facilities are decent here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is pretty decent (2024). I am not sure if it will make students industry-ready or not. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 90% for my batch.
Other: I chose this course because it is pretty trending. The course is pretty interesting, but I personally would not recommend it. I think there should be more collaboration with AI to prepare us for future trends. Events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, and campus surroundings are great. Scholarships are decent. Extracurricular activities held are okay.

Good place to complete your degree, peaceful to study for GATE.
Placements: Placement packages are low but placement is happening. Infosys comes almost every year but very few people pass the aptitude test. So it's more like there are fewer capable students rather than companies aren't coming. Qspider, Tech Mahindra, and TCS recruit from here. The placement coordinator, Reshma Maam, is also very helpful.
Infrastructure: All the buildings are well-maintained exactly like what we expect in a government college. Infrastructure is not really big but all the essential things are there. Multiple computer labs are present with AC. Wi-Fi is available at every point in the college. A two-floor library is there which is really nice and very peaceful for study. A big collection of books is there we really don't have to buy any books. Hostels are only available for girls. Boys have to look for a private hostel it will be Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 6,000 per month. There are plenty of hostels and PGs near the college.
Faculty: I think the 2024 scheme is so much better than the previous scheme so the curriculum is good. Faculty are good in CS there are very few teachers who teach badly but most of the faculty are good. In CS almost everyone passes the semester exam, which is just moderate. A two-day study could get you a good grade.
Other: Events are really good. Auto Show is a main part of the college and the tech fest is really conducted well. Arts is also a main event. I had the opportunity to experience all this in my first year itself. And all major festivals are celebrated. Thalassery town is just 6 km away, so the city life is good. There is no issue with commuting on college buses, and private buses are running all the time. College is full of greenery full of trees, and it's well-maintained. A gardener is always taking care of everything. It's really a good and positive vibe.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, average placement in 2024, and average infrastructure facilities.
Placements: The placements are average. If you are skilled, you will get placed at average companies. The highest package is around 12 LPA I think, the lowest must be 2 LPA-3 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. There aren't any famous companies coming here, I think Infosys and TCS come here. I think every student got an internship. I don't know about the roles students are offered.
Infrastructure: Above average infrastructure, Wi-Fi is available, labs, and the library are pretty good. As a day scholar, I don't know about hostel facilities. The food available at the canteen is average. Our college is pretty good at sports, if you have the skills they will take you to university games.
Faculty: Teachers are good not all of them. All faculty members are very friendly. The KTU curriculum is not that relevant so please try to improve your skills by yourself online. The KTU semester exams aren't that difficult, if you study you can pass.
Other: The college life is good, no limitations here. Events are good.

Review of College of Engineering, Thalassery.
Placements: The college provides an average placement, and a well-functioning placement cell is working at our college. Aptitude classes are provided from the second semester. The college has tie-ups with multinational companies, and the placement cell here is now trying to collaborate with many new companies.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are pretty good. The Wi-Fi connectivity is poor because of the hill area, but all other things are very good. The college atmosphere is very fantastic and in a naturally beautiful place. The atmosphere helps to reduce stress.
Faculty: Exams are conducted continuously every semester, and the papers are checked by the faculty members, who help us to improve our marks. Information Technology is a good course, and the faculty members and HOD are very cooperative and supportive. It's a good college.
