Overall, the college is really good.
Placements: Since it's a government college, all undergraduate students get to do a well-paid internship for one year after completing their four and a half years of studying. Even after that, we can easily apply to become a house staff member in a particular department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good in general, as there are big classrooms and a lecture theatre. We have QC libraries as well. A slight improvement if made for hostel infrastructure will be even better, like bathrooms and toilets. The food quality of the canteen can be improved a little bit.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful to students in times of need. Semester exams are taken at regular intervals for better preparation for finals. Exams taken are very well-planned and become helpful for self-analyzing our preparation.

Pros and Cons of College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital.
Placements: There is nothing called placement in MBBS. There is a compulsory 1-year rotatory internship for which currently approximately Rs. 30,000 is paid, which keeps increasing every year. After that, you may join the college itself as a Housestaff or an RMO at any hospital. But no doctor is unemployed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. There is a huge library with AC and non-AC reading rooms. Labs are there for each department with optimum microscopes and the other needed stuff. Classrooms are huge. 1st-year students are generally given non-AC lecture theatres. The hostel is pretty average. It is clean, and every hostel has its own mess on the ground floor. There is a common room with table tennis and other games. There are sports tournaments for cricket, badminton, table tennis, and many others, but College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital don't have a playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very punctual and dedicated towards their teaching. There are unlimited numbers of exams including Items, PCTs, semester exams, and ultimately proff exams, and you have to secure at least 50% marks to pass. You have to study to pass the exams, unlike engineering, where you can pass just by studying one night before the exam.
Other: MBBS as a course needs no review. It is the best course for people who are passionate about the human body. College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital, being in the megacity Kolkata, has its own perks. We have a huge fest every year along with a lot of other programmes. There is a lot of scope for pursuing extracurricular activities as well.

Faculty members are good, but hostel rooms need to be increase a lot .
Placements: Our college has a very good environment for studying, as it provides two huge libraries, one of which has AC. The hostel is also good, but not the best. Patient flow is moderate but less than at 5 colleges in Kolkata. The advantage is that it is in the suburbs of Kolkata, so you will be well connected to the metropolitan area. Professors are good and often give punishments, like in school, if homework is not done. Bad news for those who bunk classes: it strictly enforces a 75% attendance requirement, so be regular. And before coming for MBBS, keep your prestige at home; otherwise, it will be thrown out by the professors during viva. During the 4.5 years, there are countless vivas.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good, but more rooms need to be added; currently, there are 2 students per room. Labs are well-equipped with the latest equipment. There are 2 huge libraries, one of which has AC and free Wi-Fi. Food is available at 3 canteens with a wide variety of food items. Unfortunately, we don't have any playing grounds, so there are only indoor activities and some outdoor options like badminton. Patient flow is moderate.
Faculty: Yes, faculty members are all the same in all the medical colleges in West Bengal, as they are in rotation. All are well qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Some are of a soft nature, and some are strict. Our MBBS course has both theoretical and practical aspects, which our institute fulfills. Semisters are on the hard side. It is very difficult to pass.
Other: MBBS is the course that makes you a doctor, capable of helping people in times of need when nothing else can. We have many events each year, such as freshmen's events, fests, academic fests, quizzes, and more. Connectivity is good as it is closest to Kolkata. The scholarship provided by the government is very nice, ranging from 30k to 60k each year.

Review of college of medicine and sagoredutta hospital by a student of 2 St proff MBBS.
Placements: 125 students were admitted. The highest package was not mentioned, but all of them will get a 1-year internship where they will receive 4.2 LPA. West Bengal University of Health Sciences offers internships for 1 year. Doctors in MBBS, MD, and DNB also offer nursing.
Infrastructure: Above average, at first you have to stay in dorms for 1 month with your batchmates, and then the authority will allot you a specific room where you have to share it with your 2 batchmates, and then comes the food, which is average 24 food is not available.
Faculty: The faculty are really good; they will help you with every detail and are always kind and polite. You can ask any of your doubts to your teacher. There is a good practical lab with all the necessary facilities where practical work is done. Semesters are not so hard.
Other: The best medical college on the periphery of Kolkata.

Review of Sagar Dutta Medical College And Hospital, Kolkata.
Placements: We get an internship for a year. Then, it is on us what we want to do, either to opt for further studies or work in various hospitals and medical institutions. We can also take up a private practice. The medical field is not about jobs, more about serving people and treating. So, if we are ready to serve, then we find ways to. During internships in college, it is rotatory. We get experience from all major fields of medical sciences. We get exposed to rural areas in community medicine.
Infrastructure: We have a 500 bedded multi-speciality hospital. As it is a government setup, we get all facilities at a nominal price. We have a central library as well as departmental libraries. We do have state-of-the-art labs for para-clinical subjects. There are well-maintained labs for pre-clinical ones. Not to mention the hospital for the clinical practice. We even have a very busy OPD schedule.
Faculty: Every year, almost 100 students join via NEET UG. The teachers are very friendly, yet strict to maintain the quality of education. For theory classes, all the students attend the class together. For practicals, two groups are made. Whereas in the wards, students are divided into three groups. So, we can say that student-faculty is good.
Other: A fest and a fresher's party are conducted in our college.

Good clinical exposure, supportive faculty, & a decent hostel, with scope for better facilities.
Placements: Placements in MBBS are different from other courses. Almost 100% of students get jobs as junior doctors after an internship. The average package is around 8–10 LPA, and the highest is approximately 15 LPA. Both government and private hospitals recruit. An internship is compulsory at CMSDH with full clinical exposure.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are well-equipped. The library is good with enough books. The hostel is decent with spacious rooms. Mess food is average but clean. Medical facilities in the hospital are reliable. Sports and indoor games are not available for students.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. They are helpful and explain concepts well. The curriculum is clinically relevant as per the NMC. It makes us ready for practice. Exams can be tough, but they are manageable with proper study. The pass percentage is usually high, around 80–90%, and sometimes even more.
Other: I chose MBBS out of passion for medicine and serving people. The best part is strong clinical exposure and experienced faculty. There is a need for better digital facilities and hostel food. The campus has fests, an active crowd, good connectivity, and extracurricular activities. Scholarships are available.
