Comprehensive education with room for improvement.

Placements: The placement cell of the university is very new, only being formed last year. Very few students across all the departments were placed with average salaries being around 1-3 LPA and very few getting 8+ LPA. Various roles are offered during placements, with jobs being offered in banking sector, writing, management, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the university are quite average; it has well-maintained laboratories equipped with required tools and facilities. The university has its own library with extensive resources for all departments; the library also contains study space for students. The university has an open campus with the various departments spotted closely around. Apart from that, the classrooms are well furnished but lack air conditioning. During summers some classrooms tend to get too hot. The campus is covered with greenery all around, with cleanliness being maintained throughout. It possesses a productive academic environment.

Faculty: The university possesses a team of highly qualified and knowledgeable people; they are an experienced faculty who are experts in their fields. Though they don't make you industry ready. The semester exams are not very easy to pass; the difficulty level of mathematics exams is moderate to high, with many of the students having to give back or betterment papers.

Other: I chose my course because of my interest in mathematics and the best thing about this course is the in-depth knowledge I can gather from the experienced faculty. The university hosts events every now and then.

An average facility and faculty members for Science stream but impressive for Arts stream.

Placements: I have enrolled in the batch B.Sc. in Mathematics (hons) at Cotton University. In my course, there will be no such great placements seen till now, just like average 2.5 Lacs per annum. And the faculty members are average-level at Cotton University. It is one of the oldest in Assam.

Infrastructure: Yes, there are some facilities we have, like a library, and the classrooms are so good. Indore stadium facilities are decent, but we do not have any stadiums to play sports like cricket and football, but the cultural facilities for dance, music, and painting are impressive.

Faculty: There is average quality of teaching we have from our teachers. No, it does not make anyone well for industry but it makes students better politically and socially. No, semester exams are not too tough and the pass percentage is nearly 80 to 85 percent.

Other: I chose mathematics hons. because I love this subject.

Placements: There are approximately 80 students, and this number remains consistent across all groups. The information provided is not particularly relevant to the recently completed course. The most prominent positions available are those of college professors as well as teachers who specialize in different approaches to teaching mathematics. Mathematics plays a pivotal role in various settings.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is commendable and the teachers provide excellent guidance. The college fosters competitive and conducive learning environment laying a strong foundation for future careers. Separate hostels with good facilities are available for both male and female students.

Faculty: The teachers provide great assistance and possess extensive knowledge. They teach using a suitable approach. The course is relevant and prepares students for the industry. Although the semesters can be challenging, the teacher's notes make it manageable.

I am completely satisfied with the facilities and the teachers. Campus life here is awesome.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide any on-campus placements in the university. But most of the students get internships during their studies. Though there is no direct on-campus placement, nearly 80-85% of the students are placed in different sectors after graduation from Cotton University.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available in the university are very well. There is a central library along with the departmental libraries of each department of the university. All the classrooms have more than enough facilities. The lab facilities are also very good. Free Wi-Fi is available in the central library. The university also has an indoor stadium and a gym for students.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and highly qualified. They are available for us all the time. The teaching quality is good, and students can understand easily. They help students only in education but also with personal or financial problems. The B.Sc course is very relevant.

Good place for studies and extra curricular activities and provides a lot of exposure.

Placements: There are no campus placements for B.Sc. . graduates of any department in the college. No companies offer recruitment in the college, even to Masters graduates. Students who complete their B.Sc. . usually opt for Master here and can work as a part time day scholar.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are mediocre. There are no microphones in the classroom which are highly required. No proper Wi-Fi facilities are available. The existing one is sluggishly slow. But the library is well stocked with all needed book with an AC studying area. The hostel buildings are very old and in poor conditions. The food in the mess and canteen isn't that good. Badminton, table tennis, carrom and chess are the games available in the indoor stadium.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified. Most of them having a doctorate degree. So their knowledge is vast. The quality of teaching is good. The syllabus covered is more diverse than the other colleges in my state. It is quite advanced and teaches practical applications.

Cotton College is our dreamland.

Placements: Most of the students of our senior batch are busy with their very graceful life. Some of them are researching in the foreign university like Cambridge University, London School of Economics, etc. Some of them have become a senior professor of renowned colleges and universities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. We have a 114 years old library, where we have been known about the whole world. Every Friday movies, documentary are screened in the library. We have an indoor stadium where all the facilities of sports and gym are available. Every year, there are various sports events are organised under state level in our college, and many students come to participate. There is a big auditorium hall with good sound facilities, and also four seminar hall with good facilities are available in our college. Every year, most of our department organise a seminar and lecture programme by the foreign professor.

Faculty: I am happy to announce that our teaching facilities are very free and frankly interact with us. The students never hesitate to ask any doubts to the teachers. They are very helpful and knowledgeable at the highest level. The teaching faculty members follow LTP (lecture+ tutorial+practical) method. Every Saturday department of sociology, archaeology screen some movie on the topic of the subject. Cotton College provides three years bachelor degree course. There are 28 departments. The science section department organises an extramural course on ornithology, summer school on astrophysics, etc. The course curriculum is very useful for the students.

Infrastructure and placements can be improved, but one can enjoy campus life.

Placements: There were placements but for few. Many students don't prefer M.Sc. rather than job placements. The average salary is around Rs. 20,000 per month, I guess. We also have our own placement cell where various activities regarding placement and job-related details are discussed. I don't have any idea regarding internships though.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are a bit outdated I guess. Wi-Fi is available, but its speed is not good. We also have a field and an indoor stadium where students also play games like table tennis, carrom, badminton. Also, we have our very own gym. The lab quality is good. Equipment is good. The canteen quality is also good but a bit costly. I didn't face any infrastructure related issues.

Faculty: The teachers were qualified and helpful too. They are knowledgeable and clear with regarding the problems of students. Simple and effective teaching methods are used. Vernacular language is used mostly, but it only adds to the interest of the class. Jokes something also lighten the mood during tough topics by teachers.

Other: Lots of events happen in our college. Our students also participate in events and function and actively involve themselves in extracurricular activities. Campus life is fun but can sometimes distract you from studies. Connectivity is good, and campus crowd is huge.

Excellent infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement cell has done a very commendable job in recent years. They organise various seminars on how to face job interviews with ease. Not only that top companies visit the campus for recruitment. A large number of our seniors got placed in high-level companies with a decent pay scale.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped with all the basic amenities. The library too is great, and books of various subjects can be issued, but only the food available in the canteen isn't up to the mark. In the sports and games, the college has taken care of the physical health of the students quite seriously.

Faculty: The teachers are not just qualified and experienced, but also are eager to help the students in times of need. The teaching quality is great. Field trips and seminars are organised now and then to make sure education isn't just bookish. Overall, the experience is more than just great.
