I have a love-hate relationship with the campus life in DRC.
Placements: There are good placements for students with a higher CGP and further experience in internships. The ones who possess good skills, including technical skills, soft skills, and both interpersonal and inter-personal skills, get placed with the help of the college's placement cell.
Infrastructure: Rooms are not that spacious, but still accommodate the overall strength of the class size. It should have been better with proper benches and tables, as the present ones are quite outdated. Proper whiteboards, along with a projector for PPTs, should have been there.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-educated and teach well in classrooms. The course curriculum is good, and it offers students a lot of different job options in the future. Semester exams are of a difficult level, and they often differ from one course to another. For our course, I would rate it 6 out of 10.
Other: I always had a keen interest in Economics. My interest in logical subjects over theoretical subjects made me choose this course. Things that could be better about this course were that it should be more based on real-life projects than merely studying, just from our books, based on those old patterns.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics - Batch of 2026
3.6
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Supportive crowd and good teachers, but placements and infrastructure are average.
Placements: Talking about my course first, I am currently studying a B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics and honesty, the placement scene for Maths students is not very strong. Only about ten to fifteen per cent of students actually get placed because companies usually prefer commerce or economics backgrounds. The highest package touches around five LPA, while the lowest stays near two LPA and the average hovers around three LPA. Internship options are slightly better, almost thirty percent of students get them, mostly in tutoring, edtech or basic office work.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, the Maths department is okay but not perfect. Some classrooms have boards or projectors that don't work properly. The library does have good Maths books, but they get issues quickly. Wi-Fi is available only in a few spots. Hostel accommodation is limited, so most of us stay in nearby PGs. The canteen serves decent, affordable food, and the sports facilities are basic but manageable. The medical room handles normal, small issues.
Faculty: Speaking about the faculty, most teachers are really knowledgeable and explain concepts properly, though a few rush through lessons. The curriculum is definitely heavy and needs daily practice, but it helps a lot if you plan to go into research or do a master's. Exams are slightly tough, especially the core papers. Passing is okay if you study regularly, but getting high marks needs a lot of preparation.
Other: Talking about the campus environment, the crowd is mostly friendly, mostly girls, and everyone is quite supportive. Fests and events happen every year, and societies keep the campus active. Maths students also join NSS, debate, music, and other groups. Metro connectivity makes travel easy. I chose this course because I enjoy mathematics, but I feel the college should improve practical exposure and lab facilities for Maths students.

B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science - Batch of 2026

4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Good crowd, supportive teachers, but average infrastructure and limited placements.
Placements: I am currently studying B.A. Hons Political Science at Daulat Ram College, and in my batch, placements are honestly not something we depend on. Only around 15 to 20 percent of students from political science get placed, and most opportunities are for commerce or economics students. The highest package for our course goes around five to six LPA, and the lowest stays near two LPA. The average is around three LPA. Internships are more common, with around 40 percent of students getting them mostly in NGOs, think tanks or small companies in roles like content writing, research assistance or campaigning.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, but nothing great. Classrooms are normal, and sometimes fans or projectors do not work. The department library is helpful, but it gets crowded. Wi-Fi works but only in some areas. The college does not have a proper hostel for all students, so most of us stay in PGs around Vijay Nagar, Kamla Nagar or Model Town. The Canteen food is average, not very tasty, but affordable. Sports facilities are fine, and the medical room is available for basic issues.
Faculty: Teachers in the department are mostly helpful and know their subjects well. A few teachers teach very well and make the classes enjoyable, while some are strict. The syllabus under NEP is detailed and relevant if you want to understand politics and public policy. Exams are not too difficult, and if you study regularly, you can pass easily. The pass percentage is high since most students manage to score decent marks.
Other: Campus life at DRC is good. The crowd is mostly girls, and very friendly festivals like Manjari happen around February, and the vibe is nice. Societies are active, and you get opportunities to participate in debates, music, dance and NSS. The college is close to the metro, so connectivity is good. I chose this course because I enjoy studying politics and want to understand how policies work, but I wish the infrastructure were better and more opportunities were provided.

It’s an average college, but the fee is very high according to the course.
Placements: The highest package is 5 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA, the lowest package is 50,000. More than 40 percent of the students got internships. Top recruiting companies for internships and placements are Wipro, Byju’s, Deloitte. Top role is nutritionist.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good, the false ceiling fell down in our classroom. Wi-Fi facility is not given, the network is terrible, and the quality of food is average. If you want to call at your home, you can’t even find the network to call them. The internet doesn’t even work.
Faculty: Teachers are good, they are very helpful. But this course is not a safe option for a successful future. Semester exams are normal, and the pass percentage is 50 percent. Some teachers are bad, but most of them are good, super supportive, and lovable, you can take help from them.
Other: Our batch is super competitive; everyone doesn’t want to help each other to grow. The rush of the college is very average. I chose this course because I love music, and on the other hand, I wanted to do something in my Biology field. I am interested in the studies of Nutrition Science. The best thing about my course is music, we get to sing different ragas which we didn’t know earlier. Improvement can be done in the fee structure as it is too much expensive for a programme degree.

Supportive teachers and good campus life but average placements.
Placements: I am from B.A. hons political science batch 2023 at Daulat Ram College. In our course, around 35 to 40 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package is around 7 LPA. The lowest is about 2 LPA, and average is nearly 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Top companies visiting are Deloitte, Genpact, NGOs, and policy organizations like tech for India and Pratham. Around 30 percent of students get internships mostly in research media or NGO sectors. The main roles offered are policy research, intern content writers, HR trainee, and teaching assistant.
Infrastructure: Political science department has decent classrooms with projectors and good seating. The library has a large collection of political science books, journals, and reference materials. The Wi-Fi works but speed is sometimes slow. Hostel rooms are comfortable and secure. The mess food is okay but not very tasty while the canteen offers better food options. Medical and sports facilities are available but not very advanced. Infrastructure is average but manageable for everyday use.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and supportive. They explain topics clearly and help during exams. The course is well structured and covers both theoretical and current political issues, making it useful for civil services and related exams. The semester exams are moderate and easy to pass with regular study. Around 90 percent of students clear every semester without difficulty.
Other: The campus crowd at Daulat Ram College is friendly and active. There are several societies for debate, drama, music, and literature. The annual fest Manjari is one of the highlights with full participation and fun events. The campus surroundings are nice. There are many cafes nearby. I chose political science because I like understanding social and political systems. I wish the placement opportunities were better and classrooms were more modern. College life is good if you make the most of it.
