Decent college and you can explore more.
Placements: DAV College placements are a big mixed bag for the students. While they actively invite various companies from IT to finance. However, highly paid jobs are consistently given. High-profile jobs are provided to the students. Average jobs are more likely provided to the students.
Infrastructure: DAV College Amritsar has a very small campus. But facilities are average. There is a big library and a good cafeteria area available. Big in summers there should be AC provided to the students. Good parking stand available for the students. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: Great exams are organised by DAV College, Amritsar. Proper curriculum is timely provided to the students. Proper guidance is provided by the college team to the students for the betterment of the students. Proper pretests are taken by the teachers before the exams.
Other: Events are good here.

I am absolutely satisfied.
Placements: 60-65% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package offered in my course is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Nestlé, and LT Foods Ltd (Dawat Price Group). 50-60% of students got internships in my course at Verka Milk Plant and various laboratories, gaining experience in quality checking. Top roles offered are Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Scientist, and Bio-Manufacturing.
Infrastructure: There is an abundance of facilities which are provided in our college. Bank book facilities are given, internships are provided and scholarships are also given to the students. There are well-established practical rooms, and all the equipment, instruments, and chemicals are available for the practical. Hostel facilities are very good. There is a big ground for sports and games. Medical facilities are excellent. Mess food is clean and nutritious.
Faculty: Teachers at the colleges are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They have an excellent grasp of their subjects. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the student industry-ready. This course helps the student to gain practical knowledge as well as hands-on experience. Semester exams in this college are not at all difficult, one can pass these exams easily. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in the research area. The best thing about this course is that it provides diverse career opportunities. One thing I would like to improve in my course is that the exams should be of a competitive nature and not so easy.

Placements: Our batch (2024-2028) comprises 40 students pursuing a B.A in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus on news reporting and editing. We achieved a 50% placement rate, secured internships at top firms and actively participated in research, hackathons, and innovation projects.
Infrastructure: Our course boasts average classrooms, advanced labs, and high-speed internet that foster innovation and practical learning. Library is rich in resources and hostels provide well-furnished rooms, 24/7 security, and recreational space that ensure a comfortable stay.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly knowledgeable, blending theory with practical insights. Corse curriculum is industry-oriented, focusing on core concepts, emerging technologies, and hands-on projects. Exams are well-structured, emphasising critical thinking and application.

Totally satisfied because of faculty, placements, and other facilities.
Placements: Almost 70% of students get placed every year in this college. The highest salary package offered to students is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, and some others visit the college every year. Around 80% of students got internships, and most roles offered in this course are CSA, CSR, CSE, etc.
Infrastructure: Computer science labs, libraries, and Wi-Fi facilities are available here. The infrastructure is modern and fully furnished. The hostel provides fresh food to students. The college offers all medical, sports, and canteen facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are well-qualified and trained. Their teaching methods are above the level. The college provides various activities and course-making opportunities for students to gain practical exposure. Semester exams in the college are of moderate level, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to enter the banking sector. The best thing about this course is that it is easy to opt for, and we gain extensive knowledge about banking and the financial sector. There is nothing to improve about this course. Every year, many events, fests, and activities are organized at a large scale, and scholarships are also provided to students.

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure, but somewhere dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: Around 10% students got placed during the placements drive. The highest package offered is around 5 LPA, the lowest is below 2 LPA and the average package secured is 3 LPA. For my course, recruiters are from banks life IDFC bank and Axis bank. According to my knowledge, around 15% students of my course got internships in various banks. The most commonly offered role is that of junior manager in a bank as B.Com is a banking degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average according to my opinion. The labs are up to the mark for practical classes. The Library is huge and well maintained with all the revised books and journals. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The hostel is great too with two students sharing a single room. The quality of food given by the mess is very delicious and made with proper hygiene. There is a gym for the hostel students. Medical facilities and first aid are also provided in the hostel for the students. There are various tournaments conducted for sports students and they are given concessions in the fee too.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and well trained to teach. They are very helpful and one can always approach them to clear any doubts regarding the studies. The curriculum of the course is very good to give exposure to the students of the real world. It definitely makes the students ready for industry. This is because the major aspect of this course in practical. The semester exams are not very difficult. They are quite easy for the students who study well and the passing percentage is around 35%.
Other: I chose this course due to it’s creativity with my field of interest that is banking. I wish more practical lectures be included in my course to ensure that the students are fully ready to work in the industry after the completion of this course. Additionally, many events and fest are organized in the college to lift the enthusiasm of the students. Scholarships are given to meritorious, needy and reserved category students.

A great place to study and achieve skills for society.
Placements: There are numerous placements in many multinational companies, and around 40%-35% of students are really happy with this strength. Some are managers, some are employees, but many have opened their businesses. That's a great thing that entrepreneurs are coming out of college.
Infrastructure: Old look but great, with a lot of classrooms. There is Wi-Fi all over campus and separate hostels for boys and girls. There's a library too with two floors and a plethora of books that are issued on a card basis. The campus is divided into four parts across a road.
Faculty: The staff is quite helpful but as strict as needed in exams. Although teaching helps many students, mid-term exams in every semester are a way to prepare for the upcoming final term exams by GNDU board. If anyone skips or fails, it is fine.
Other: There are a few fests on campus due to shortage of space, but a lot of events take place regularly. There are also NCC and NSS camps inside as well as outside the campus. It's a big thing of enjoyment and learning for students.
