DBS College - the campus life, the faculty and the events.

Placements: There are no particular placement drives held on the college premises, but opportunities are available at the university level. Teachers inform us about these through our groups and other circulars. The maximum package offered from the university is between 3 to 5 lakhs per annum. About 40% of students from our course got placed.

Infrastructure: Science and Maths department have 2-3 well oriented labs and are classrooms for experiments and classes. There is a big library were students sit and study for hours. There is no hostel facility at the college. One has to find its own place to reside.

Faculty: Teachers or the faculty of the college is the best and the foremost part of the college. Teachers are very helpful and are highly qualified. And extremely knowledgeable and well spoken too. The course curriculum is very much relevant. Semester exams are not very tough and passing percentage is 40%.

Teachers are experienced and are ready to solve your problem.

Placements: Students from all courses got placed, and it is easy for them to focus on their goals. Approximately half of the students in our class get their placement in the respective field. Many big and small companies select many students every year.

Infrastructure: Facilities are very good in every department. All classrooms are set up with a proper camera to notice all the activities of every class. Every class is neat and clean, and they are provided with a dustbin. Food facilities are quite good in the canteen, and everyone follows the rules strictly.

Faculty: Teachers are not only educated but also experienced, which is helpful for every student to focus their goal without any problem. Teachers with experience know where the problem arrives, so they sort the problem of students. Goal achievable is quite easy.

A good choice for those who can't afford high fees.

Placements: In mathematics courses, there is a very lesser chance of placement. You can only get placement if any company that came for computer science students came and you gave the interview and got selected. But the chances are very, very low. The highest package is 5 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA. As I said, the percentage of placement in this course is not so good, so it is only around 10%. The roles of the job after this course can be according to your coding knowledge or knowledge related to computer science.

Infrastructure: Classes are spacious and enough for 80-100 students. Infrastructure is not so good but as a government college, it is adjustable. And there is no hostel facility by the college. So students have to manage it by taking any room on rent or PG. The overall environment of the college is good.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is highly educated and most of the professors are government teachers. Teachers are very helpful and always cooperative towards the students. The curriculum of the course makes you proficient in mathematics for further studies in this subject but does not make you job-ready. Exam papers are set by the university, which is CSJM University, Kanpur. The level of the exam is moderate to tough. Pass percentage is 33.3%. And the students will get first division on scoring 60% or more than 60% in exams.

Other: I chose that course because I want to study further in mathematics. It was very useful for me in enhancing my knowledge. The improvements can be made by making rules for the attendance of students in the class. In events and festivals, students can participate if they want. Extracurricular activities are also there for the interested students. And the most beneficial part is scholarships, which encourage students of all financial categories to join the college.

I am really satisfied with this college but This college is not about placement.

Placements: This college is not about placement. Students after graduation try for government exams like SSC CDS etc.

Infrastructure: Its structure is good this college provides us with a big ground and organizes many sports games. Medical and canteen facilities are not much good. Canteen capacity is very less and books in the library are very old which provides only old content.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated and very experienced. All the teachers give their 100 percent in the department. I feel this course is not helpful for many students in future because many of student go in a different field after graduation.

Other: As a Science student I have interest in maths and I want to take graduation in maths.

It is an above-average college.

Placements: Around 300 candidates joined the course and mostly they are here for the bachelor's degree and will go-ahead for their masters either from IIT or IIM. A few students got placed in defense sectors like army, navy, airforce, and coastguard. Some of the students cracked exams of CDS and got selected there as well.

Infrastructure: Our college consists of a huge library, quiet good labs for physics, chemistry, and computers. It neither has hostel facilities nor its campus is having Wi-Fi but the ground is quite vast and mostly all kinds of sports activities are practiced. Outside the college, there are many shops and they serve good food.

Faculty: The best thing about college is its teachers as they are very helpful and friendly. All the teachers are very qualified in their respective fields and they have a very thorough knowledge of their subjects. Many teachers have a brilliant teaching style which is much liked by students.
