Hello Nishar Ahmed, Deendayal Upadhyay college under Delhi University is quite well known for its academics. It has ranking of 24 which is considered quite good. Due to this, cut offs at this Institute are quite high for all the undergraduate courses that it offers. From different sources that I could go through, the cutoffs in the year 2022 were set between 94 to 96 for different BSc courses which are offered by this college. Cutoffs very every year and it depends on the number of seats available for admission and also the results of the CUET examination. In the year 2023 either the paper was little soft or the students were now aware of what type of questions are asked and as a result more than 20000 students have scored 100 percentile. Not only this the students who have scored percentile above 95 are more than two and half lakh. Of course this is all India figure and this test is applicable for all the Central University across India and therefore it can be safely assumed that not all the students will come up to colleges under Delhi University. Be that as it may, this is bound to increase the competition and as a result it is expected that the cutoffs for the year 2023 for BSc courses may increase by one or two percentiles. As a result of this it is nightmare to come to conclusion based on this statistics. In the case of DDU under Delhi University the data is not available for different streams of under graduation but this club under single heading called under graduate students. DDUC needs to look after placements only and rest all the areas are fixed.

Placements: Our college probably has a mixed bag because one shouldn't expect much, and also one will not have any opportunities at all. So close to 30% of students across the streams are placed. I guess for my course i.e., Physics (Hons), the good days for placements will take some time.

Infrastructure: The best buildings by any stretch of the imagination will be found in our college. The basketball court needs some attention, as the rest of the sports facilities are good. Even the canteen serves good food, and needless to say, our college library is one of the most stocked libraries in DU.

Faculty: Our course is special, and so are our faculty members. We have lovely people with good brains, as our course needs some serious churning of brain wheels. Our course is one of the toughest in DU, but luckily, papers are quite easy, and thus the passing percentage is always on the higher side.

Other: The crowd is good. Events and all have a little space in our college.

DDUC is the best alma mater for a student.

Placements: Overall, DDUC placements are good, but for Physics (Hons), most students then opt for an M.Sc. or an integrated Ph.D. programme. Some environment and healthcare companies come to our college, and around 20 to 30 percent of students are placed at around a 4 to 6 LPA package. BARC, ISRO, and DRDO are some of the major names that recruit Physics students.

Infrastructure: There is one boys' hostel and one girls' hostel at our campus. I thought of joining the hostel, but the college is in Dwarka and there are endless PGs here. Our college has four buildings in all, and all of them are quality, well-facilitated buildings.

Faculty: They are worthy without a doubt, as when it comes to faculty members at DU, there is one thing guaranteed, quality will not be compromised. Our course is also very vast, and faculty members still somehow manage to finish the course well before time. So, on this, there is a full 10 out of 10.

Other: Every month there are at least 2 to 3 events, and the main event is our annual fest, Kalrav. One change which I wish for would be having at least one more canteen or kiosk, as currently, there is just one canteen.

Review of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (University of Delhi).

Placements: The percentage of students placed is not really good, but from courses like CS Hons, B.Com, and BMS, there have been pretty good placements. The highest CTC was 24 LPA. All the courses provide in-depth knowledge about the subjects, and we have mid-semester exams as well as final semester exams.

Infrastructure: There are a total 3 buildings present in the college. First is the main block, i.e., the academic block; second is the utility block and last is the hostel for both boys and girls separately. Overall, the infrastructure is really good. Compared to other DU colleges, we have one of the best infrastructures.

Faculty: Faculty members are really good. All the faculty are well-educated. Teachers are good, and concepts are taught in class. Students can study really well. Everything is good.

Other: I am from CS Hons, and till now I have learnt many languages like Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, and C+.

The pros and cons of DDUC.

Placements: The college overall is great for placements, but due to the specific nature of my course (B.Sc. Maths), most students go for higher studies without sitting for placements. Most students end up doing internships in teaching, actuary, or other financial fields.

Infrastructure: The hostel offers facilities like air conditioning and laundry service, with high-speed Wi-Fi and a library, all being in great working order. The library is open the whole week from 9 to 5, which is a great help, and the mess and canteen also maintain a good standard of hygiene.

Faculty: Faculty members are friendly. They are approachable. The course syllabus is up-to-date and modern. It is considered very hard due to its quantitative nature, But still it is manageable. Most students pass with flying colors and around an 85 percent is the pass rate.

Satisfied with the faculty, offers good placements, and has the best infrastructure.

Placements: Almost 70 to 80% of students got placed from my department. The average package is around 5 to 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google and Microsoft. Around 60% of students from here get internships in EduRev. Top roles offered are software engineers.

Infrastructure: AC works so well that we can study peacefully. In labs, all computers and projectors work well. Smart TV facility is also provided. Washrooms are very clean and have proper ventilation. Canteen and mess offer clean and tasty food. We have proper medical facilities. All the equipment is in good condition in the sports room.

Faculty: Teachers are very frank and polite, and every topic becomes easy for me to understand. The course is very nice. The curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready at the industry level. Exams are difficult, but studying as we are studying at this college, they become easy and make students score 9+ CGPA. 98% is the pass percentage.

Good infrastructure and lacks sports facilities.

Placements: Right after completing graduation, almost no one from my course gets a placement. To get a steady, good-income job, you need to get a master's degree, at least in my field. I would around 10 percent only max, I don't know about companies but some research institutes recruit the students. Around 60 percent of students got internships, usually in institutes like IISER Bangalore, BITS Goa, IIT Delhi, some NITs, etc. Research scholars and assistant professors in various colleges around DU.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library are good. The labs are also fine, but they don't have enough compound microscopes for the students. The Wi-Fi works okay most of the time, though sometimes it doesn't. The hostel is very good, and it has all the basic amenities needed. The mess food is fine but many times it can be very unhealthy, medical facilities are very basic, and the canteen is non-existent at the moment.

Faculty: My professors are all very knowledgeable and good, they know how to interact with the students. My course is relevant to this day as it teaches how to work in a Biology lab environment, which can be used for research further on. The semester exams are moderate and rarely hard. The pass percentage is almost 100 percent.

Other: The main fest is really good all in all, the environment is nice, and the students are friendly. The college just lacks sports facilities, which is a major deal-breaker for me as I am very active in sports.
