Q:   Can pediatrics nurses become pediatrician doctors?
A:

In India, a pediatric nurse can become a paediatrician. Here are a few steps that you can follow -

  • Attending Medical School: After completing the pre medical requirements, you need to enrol in a medical school (MBBS or related course) to get a medical degree.

  • PG Training in Pediatrics: After medical school, you must undergo PG training or residency in Paediatrics.

  • Licensing and Certification: After that you need to obtain a license to practice medicine in India by clearing the licensing exams conducted by the MCI or the NBE.

Q:   Is MSc Nursing a good career?
A:

Yes, because a postgraduate degree in Nursing allows a nurse to work in multispeciality hospitals, private or government healthcare units, academic or research institutes, nursing homes, old-age homes, and the armed services. They can become a nursing educator, staff nurse, nurse assistant, or nursing supervisor.

With many new specialisation streams emerging, there is a demand for qualified nurses who can specialise in these new fields and even teach other students. In India and around the world, there is an ongoing lack of skilled nurses. Because of their devotion and compassionate and empathetic character, Indian nurses are always in high demand in other nations.

Teachers' knowledge is really good, and placements in our hospital are also very good.
Placements: Most of the students in our college are from Kerala, and there are 100 students in my class. Our next batch is a semester batch with another 100 students. For B.Sc. Nursing, the approximate package is 9 LPA, and for GNM, it is 6 LPA. In our hospital, only internships will be done for hospital jobs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in every classroom, and the food quality is approximately good. Sports and games are available during SNA. There is only one canteen on our campus, and there is also a medical college where external classes are conducted by doctors. There is security present on campus.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful for gaining knowledge. They hold Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees. After completing B.Sc. Nursing, hospital jobs start with a salary of 20,000. I don’t have semester exams; instead, we have yearly exams, and the pass percentage is 70%, making it difficult to pass in our college.
Other: From class 10, I always thought that I would enter the medical field because there are many benefits and opportunities for getting a job. Everything is perfect without a hostel. SNA programs, Onam celebrations, Dashara celebrations, and other celebrations are also held.
