The college provides all the facilities with very good faculty members.

Placements: The college has connections with many industrial experts. Industrial connections help in the placement of students. They provide internships for their students early in the course which can start from the second year. The faculty also helps to shape your portfolio according to industrial standards helping in your placements.

Infrastructure: The college provides great infrastructure and facilities. They have a ceramic lab, a smart classroom, and a fashion lab. The hostel facilities are excellent too, including a gym, study room, and TV room. The hostel even provides Wi-Fi and indoor games such as foosball and table tennis.

Faculty: The teachers are highly skilled in their respective domains, providing students with high-quality instruction in practical design. In addition, the practical-based exams are also beneficial for helping students build real-world skills in the design field. The friendly and helpful nature of the faculty helps students grasp the topics they teach more easily, too.

An amazing college with amazing people.

Placements: Our college offers internship opportunities starting from 2nd year, which helps students develop diverse skills, grow their careers, and make connections with various businesses. Salaries for graduates of our college average 4.5 to 12 LPA, depending on the company. Our graduates have been hired by firms like Lenskart and Asian Paints. The best positions for our course involve leading a team and serving as HOD of the research department.

Infrastructure: DPU doesn't compromise on student comfort, and its facilities demonstrate that. The classrooms are Hi-Tech with digital screens, great seats, and comfortable tables. We also get WiFi for studying. Plus, our dorms have great rooms, everyday cleaning, and a home-like environment. There's no ragging, and every facility is great.

Faculty: The teachers are very polite and helpful, not only for my course but for every course. They respond immediately to questions and solve our queries. This course is relevant and we get to visit large companies during field trips, which helps us prepare for industry life. The semester exams are not that difficult and with the provided study materials, they are not difficult at all. The passing grade is 50%.

Other: The campus has the best energy and vibe. The college offers numerous platforms to showcase your talents. All our events are open to the public, and we are known for our amazing festivals. The crowd is great. Our design submissions were some of the best.

My Opinion and Overview of Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Design.

Placements: 80% of the students studying in our course have been placed. The lowest package was 4.5 LPA and the highest was 12 LPA. A few of the top recruiting companies for the course are Van Heusen and Vero Moda. About 80% of the students were given internships in companies such as Ivoomi. Product Designer, UI UX Designer, however, there aren't many limitations for Product Design as it is a very flexible degree.

Infrastructure: The college provides facilities such as Smart Classrooms, Wi-Fi, 3D Printing Lab, Computer Labs, Library, Garment-making and Stitching Lab, Photo-shooting Labs, and a huge lobby which is fun to relax in. I do not live in the College Hostel, but from experience and conversations with my peers, I can confidently say the College Hostel is a nice place, with a Canteen.

Faculty: The teachers for my course are extremely knowledgeable and definitely qualified for teaching the topics in the course. The faculty comes from various fields which allow us to get information from different fields easily. The course curriculum is relevant to the course, making sure we learn whatever is necessary in our fields, allowing us to be more than well-prepared for the industry. The semester exams are a mix of theory and practical exams which are easy but can be challenging for people who aren't prepared.

Other: I chose the Product Design course as I was interested in the flexibility of the degree, as well as my personal interest in the field of design. The best things about the course are probably the amount of hands-on experience and knowledge you get from the faculty as they are pioneers in their field. I'd just like longer holidays. There are cultural as well as design events in the college. The college is beside the Mumbai-Bengaluru Expressway, allowing for efficient connectivity to both cities. The college provides a scholarship as well!
