DPU AIDAT Entrance Exam 2026: Application OPEN (Apply Here), Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Selection Process

The candidate must ensure that they meet the program-specific eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill out the DPU AIDAT application form 2026.

DPU AIDAT 2026 eligibility criteria is given below.

• Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or university in any stream.
• Minimum marks: Candidates belonging to the open category need to have secured 50% marks in the qualifying exam
• Candidates appearing for 10+2 may also apply.

Online application form for DPU AIDAT 2026 is available at the admission portal of DY Patil Institute of Design. To apply for DPU AIDAT 2026 exam, candidate needs to

1. Go to admission portal dypatilschoolofdesign.com
2. Click on the application form link
3. A registration form will open
4. Enter your name, email ID and mobile number. Next, select the state, program of study, state and specialization.
5. On successful registration, you will have to fill in the rest of application form.
6. Upload the mandatory documents in the given format.
7. Pay application fee to complete the process.

The application fee for the DPU AIDAT 2026 exam is INR 1500. The fee is to be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. The fee is non-refundable. 

Candidates appearing in the DPU AIDAT 2026 entrance exam are urged to carefully go through the official exam pattern. DPU AIDAT will have two parts, Part A and Part B.

Part A will have three sections.

Part B will include Studio Test, Portfolio Submission & Personal Interview.

The following specializations are available for the B.Des program at the DY Patil Institute of Design.

The following terms and conditions will apply for admission cancellation:

• Request for cancellation of admissions must be sent through a registered email ID to email ID mentioned: studentsupport.sod@dpu.edu.in or Vidyapeeth Student ERP to Student Section Executive only. No other method will be accepted.
• Refund will be approved as per the Vidyapeeth norms.
• Refund will be approved only after submission of proof of Fee paid, Vidyapeeth letter/ Provisional Letter of Admission.
• The refund will be remitted through an account transfer to the account number mentioned in the withdrawal request. Kindly provide the correct bank account details with the withdrawal request.
• Refunds will be considered only for the program for which the tuition fee has been paid by the applicant. No refund will be granted against the application fee under any circumstances.

Further, if the candidate submits a fake score, then the candidature of the student will be canceled without any intimation and no refund of fees, at any stage during their tenure at the university/ institute. In such cases, legal action may be taken against the student.

The final selection to the B.Des program will be based on these three conditions:

• Qualifying exam marks
• Scores of the DPU AIDAT 2026 exam
• Studio Test, Portfolio Submission and Personal Interview.

DPU AIDAT 2026 Personal interview will be conducted on campus.

The duration of the B.Des program at DY Patil School of Design is four years; it will be a full-time course. The fee for the B.Des program is INR 3,00,000 per annum. In addition, the candidate will also have to pay the University Eligibility Fee, University Examination Fee, and Hostel Fee will be separate. Also, note that an increase of 3% in the program fee every year is applicable.
