B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2017

Completely dissatisfied with this college. Joining this college is a wrong decision of my life.
Placements: I didn't get any placement offers. Most of the students of our batch didn't get placed from the college. Only 5-6 students who are favourable to placements' coordinator were offered placements, and the others suffered a lot. Companies hardly visit here. Only 3-4 companies visited the campus during our tenure, and they hired only 30 students from all branches of B.Tech.
Infrastructure: The academic building is well built, but the campus surrounded by burnt cottage industries. The campus environment is not that good, and the floors and washrooms are untidy. There is only one washroom for over 1000 students, and students have to wait for a long to avail washroom facilities. Even the canteens are the worst here.
Faculty: Faculty members have less command over their subjects, and one faculty handles a minimum of two subjects. They always deny explaining the lab experiments. HODs are not that much good as we don't have many impressive personalities here. Faculty members are mostly from mostly nearby villages, and they don't have enough skills that are required.
Other: Extracurricular activities are not that much appreciated as they don't conduct any events or fests here.

Overall, I think this college is the best for studies as well as extracurricular activities.
Placements: In our batch, almost 85% of the students have been placed not only in small organisations but also in multinational companies. As usual, there are not many placements for the civil branch, but our college is working hard to improve that. I would rate the placements 8 out of 10.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not very good, but for me, the infrastructure doesn't matter if a college provides the best faculty and education. My college has the best faculty members and the best management team too. I feel very good about this. It is also true that the people of today's generation think if a college provides the best infrastructure, then it provides good education as well, but according to me, it is not necessary for everything to look good from inside. Some things are meant to be good from inside, and that's all matters.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are of top class. I really like the placement classes provided by the college. They are helpful for placements. The course curriculum followed in our college is prescribed by AKTU, so the college can't be blamed for any flaws in the curriculum as AKTU should improvise the syllabus.
Other: The college conducts fests and star night every year, and we hope to organise the same this year. There is an NGO in the college which is organised by our college students. There are many cultural programmes and events which are held to boost up the strength of students and make their career bright.

This college is good for students to gain practical knowledge.
Placements: Approximately 50% of placements are provided in the college. Mainly, BPO companies visited the college. The highest salary package offered was approximately 3 LPA, and the lowest package offered was approximately 1.50 LPA. Our seniors are in good positions, and a few students of our batch are also offered good positions. The college has a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure looks average, but the facilities provided are good. Classrooms are good, and Wi-Fi facility is also available. Sports and gym facilities are available, and a playground is also available for different types of sports. There is a swimming pool inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, and a lot of faculty members are available in every department. The college offers B.Tech, B.Pharma, MBA, BBA, M.Tech, etc., courses. Qualified teachers are available in every department. Teaching quality is awesome, and practical knowledge is provided to students.
Other: Scholarships are provided to students, and an annual fest is organised in our college.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: If you have taken branches except CSE and IT, then the college placements are the worst part. Not even a single core company of ECE visited during placements. Most of the companies that visited the campus are non-technical based jobs like sales, marketing profiles, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good until unless you like old buildings. Atmosphere and location of the college are not satisfactory. Library gives you peaceful environment for study, but there is an unavailability of good author books for technical subjects. Labs are there only for names, except some good faculty members nobody is interested in giving you practical exposure. You will find yourself mugging up theory subjects for exams by yourself only.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members didn't have proper knowledge of engineering subjects. The quality of teaching is dreadful. No practical exposure is given to students. You will always find yourself helping you out in any situation. You will find no industry exposure in this college especially in this department.

The college is below satisfactory. It is not suggested.
Placements: Our seniors had a better placement than us. The average package for us was around 2.4 LPA. Very few good companies visited the campus, at a maximum of 3-4. Even after the students getting placed, they did not receive their offer letters. The job profile is bad in most cases. There are no career opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college has an extremely extensive area of the campus with ancient buildings in it. The college is located just next to ruins of Kapda mill, the condition within the college is intolerable in summers. There are no A/C classrooms, only cooling has been provided in CS and IT departments which don't work.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are just qualified and are in this profession for a part-time job only. They never take any initiative to teach the students neither do they take the responsibility of our courses. Eventually, everything comes up to students. We are not allowed to have a say.

BEWARE OF A TRAP CALLED "Dr. K. N. Modi Institute of Engineering and technology, Modinagar"
Placements: Placement was pathetic in my batch as well as in my senior batch. Basically placement only lies on paper only there is nothing to do with real world scenario. Most of the students in my batch as well as in senior batch are placed in their respective companies through offcampus drives of other colleges. Merely 10 % of students are placed through college campus placements and that too in Non-Tech Companies. I. e Authbridge Gurgaon, Iconma Noida, etc. the lowest salary offered was 8000 RS and the highest being offered was 25000 that was in software company IBS software, which have kicked all it's selected employees outside of the company after completion of one year. 1 % of the student only got the internship through college, that to in a Non-Tech Company. Yes there is a so called placement cell in the college. But they are highly inefficient. During my time xxxxxx xxxxx and xxxxx xxxxx was the training and placement head and coordinator respectively, and both are highly inefficient. xxxxx xxxxx is master in making people fool by spreading false placement statistics. And placement figure, whosoever was placed from outside the campus and she finds it out that this/that guy/girl belong to Dr. KNMIET. She instantaneously post it on facebook page claiming it to be placed by college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure reminds you of old government colleges/schools. Their is no WI-FI in the college campus. Labs are Average. Classrooms are Decent, library is average, Medical facilities are not there. Sports and Games are only present their over papers they charge their yearly fees but our 4 years of my college time, I and my batchmates never got an opportunity to play those ones. Labs and classrooms are decent enough as mentioned above. Quality of food available in canteen was average. Hostel rooms are average. Yes, our batch faced a lot of infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the colleges.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful to a large extent, their are some teachers who are very ill mannered, but rest were good. Knowledge was good as this college is private college and knowledge would be as per their pay. , college management don't pay much to the teacher. And ask to leave the college to the teachers who are deserving ones. Teaching quality is average. Teaching methods was conventional ones. 1 Teacher over 60-65 students, but nowadays college suffers from the deficiency in admissions that's why teacher is to student ratio can be observed upto 1 teacher in 10-15 student No, we were not got any industry exposure. Curriculum was standard UPTU one. So it need to be updated.

Dr KN Modi is one of the top 20 in private engineering colleges just because of its students.
Placements: There was a placement cell. The average salary was 3.5 lakhs per annum. 50 to 60% students were placed, but very few companies visited on campus. The off-campus drive was there for companies like IBM, TCS. Accenture visited the campus and other some very low standard companies visited on campus. Mainly placements were in IT sector, core companies were very few and that too very low standard. The students are willing to work in core compelled to work in IT sector. Many eligible students applied for state scholarship very few used to get it and mainly SC category students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was average in the college. There was LAN availability but not Wi-Fi in hostels, and that too was not free in hostels. In very few labs there used to be Wi-Fi facilities. The lab equipment used to be there, but lab attendant was not qualified to inculcate right practical knowledge. The canteen was good, and hostel room was also livable but not very high quality (not worth money). The library was very big, but quality books were missing, and quantity for all students was also not enough. No student cell for student complaints and sometimes management were imposing unwanted extra fees for some course which students had already done, but they had to pay the fee and again had to do course under management pressure.
Faculty: The teachers were not qualified enough. Only focused on marks or eager to complete the syllabus but mainly one has to rely on oneself for syllabus completion. The college has very less industry exposure. The course curriculum was good. The strength of the teachers was also good but not specialised in their subject, but very few were good teachers.
Other: Dr KN Modi can be considered top 20 private engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh because of crowd present there who made sense though lack of qualified teacher, excessive fees, poor management, lack of sports activities managed by the college. All were done by students only. Though the crowd was mainly focused on extracurriculars, few were very excellent students who maintained the standard of the college.

Nowadays, the college is degrading day by day as the management is not up to the mark
Placements: Quite good if you are good at studies. The college is in NCR so there are lots of chances for off-campus placement drives. Basically, software companies are invited by the college. There will be no option for EC students if they want a placement in a core company. The average package will be 2.6 LPA approximately.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to mark as newly established colleges of today have. Labs are air-conditioning but no such facilities in classrooms. These classrooms are not so good but hostels are satisfactory as there are different hostels in the college with a different fee structure.
Faculty: A few faculty members are with lots of experience. Otherwise, they keep changing in this department of engineering. Practical labs have a lot to do if you are interested as there are enough equipment in the lab. Lab assistants are quite good and humble.
Other: This college has MBA and engineering departments on the same campus, so sometimes, this creates a reason for a dispute in students on the college campus, especially in the canteen area of campus. Otherwise, the environment of college is good and the campus is very big. There is a playground on the campus as well as in the hostel.
