Strong Academics, But Placement Needs Improvement at G.H. Patel College of Engineering & Technology.

Placements: If I am talking about the course, the course is outstanding. They made the course in this way that it covers all areas in your skill set. If I am talking about the placement cell for this year, in 2024-25, 10 companies visited our campus, placed 18 students, and the highest package was 7.12 LPA, the average package was 4.50 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.00 LPA. The top recruiting company was GNWebSoft Pvt. Ltd. Internship data they can't expose to us. The top roles offered are software engineering roles.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure available for my department (computer engineering): Smart board in classrooms. Wi-Fi in labs and campus. Library is also available on our campus. Auditorium is also available. There is no sports ground available in the college. Garden is also there. Canteen quality is average. Hostel facilities: Study table provided. 24-hour hot water supply, and water and electricity are also available. Mess food is also good in taste, and every 15 days, there will be a fest on Sunday. Wi-Fi connection in hostel rooms is also available.

Faculty: Faculty is also nice and helps us to solve complex code. They are qualified, knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. Not all of them, but quite a few are the best. The course curriculum is also excellent and makes students industry-ready because they made the course in this way that it provides knowledge to students in all areas of life. The semester exam level is moderate, with a pass percentage of 90%. Only 4 or 5 students fail.

Other: I chose this course because I am an enthusiastic student who loves technology and wants to build a career in this field. The best thing in my course is proving yourself at the world level. They give me the opportunity to prove myself. The thing I wish would be better in my course is that students must have a skill set and not run for placement but run for skills. Events: Yugantar Festival. The campus crowd is also nice, and connectivity is good. The surrounding environment is also nice. If I am talking about extracurricular activities, in my field, it's the Teach Fest, e.g., (Codvie10.O).

Really need better sports facilities.

Placements: My batch consists of 90 students, and 50% of the students are getting placed. The highest package is Rs 25 lakhs, and the lowest package is Rs 2 lakhs. Top recruiting companies are Argu Soft, Tatva Soft, Reliance, and Tisco, with roles in software development, front-end, back-end, and data science.

Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in college, including Wi-Fi, and the infrastructure is very good. The campus is nice, and hostels are equipped with beds, cupboards, tables, chairs, attached bathrooms, and a mess. The library is good, with a wide variety of books available.

Faculty: The teachers are very experienced, with at least 2 years of experience as the minimum requirement. The teaching quality is much better than at any other college. Yes, this course is relevant and always tries to focus on helping us improve. Semester exams are not very difficult; 90% pass the exams.

Other: My batch has many highly meritorious students and coders. Just improve the sports facilities of the college. Imaze is the main event of the college.

GCET college diaries.

Placements: 60% students are getting placed and many companies are visiting the college. 25 Lacs is the highest package, 1 Lacs is the lowest and 3 Lacs is average. Medtab, Tatavasoft, Reliance and Adani are the top recruiting companies. Many got placed in 7th semester and started their internship there only. The roles offered are fronted development, backed and data analyst.

Infrastructure: All facilities are provided in the college including smart boards, computers labs with internet, Robotics laboratory, AICTE approved Idea lab. Hostel is provided with all facilities including separate batch rooms, tables, chair cupboard, and bed. Mess is available in hostel but food in dinner is the worst. Sports room is also provided.

Faculty: All teachers are helpful and qualified and all have maximum experience. The teaching quality is very good, also the teachers help you every time. Male students are industry ready as well as ready to enter in cooperative world. Semesters exams are not so difficult .

Other: In my batch total intake is of 90 students every year. I chose this course because I was interested in it. This course helps in AI and faster technology.

A true review of my college is due to its value for money and great environment.

Placements: About 53% students are getting placed in this course. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest package offered is 1.5 LPA, and the average package offered is 4.75 LPA. TCS, Morris Garages, Exxat Limited, etc. are some of the reputed companies visiting for placement. There is no such internship being offered from college side. Software development engineer, data science engineer, etc. are some of the top roles.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi-enabled. Classrooms are neat and equipped with white boards. The library is open to all. Hostel food is okay and the canteen is good. The medical room is there in the college and hostel. Many intercollege sports are held every year.

Faculty: Yes, the faculty members are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Yes, the course is relevant, makes the students industry-ready and helps in their overall growth. The semester exams are quite easy and almost 70% students pass in the university exam.

Other: Due to the technical subjects that are incorporated into the course, I chose this course. Better lab facilities and more interactive sessions would be better and improve the course. The technical event is IMAZE. The campus crowd is very intellectual and interactive. Mysy scholarship is given by the government of Gujarat.

Some faculty are great, but most of them are not that good.

Placements: 70% of students get placements, and the rest go for master's degrees abroad or give competitive exams like GATE and CAT. The highest package is INR 9 lacs, the lowest is INR 3 lacs, and the average is near INR 3 lacs. Companies like TCS, Rest Data Systems, Infosys, Exxat, etc. visit campus for SDE profiles.

Infrastructure: Labs are okay, but not very good. Classrooms and other infrastructure are decades old. The library is good. Hostels are okay; the canteen food is not good, but yes, many facilities are available at the hostel. Volleyball and basketball courts are there in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Some are very knowledgeable, but some are just doing the job for the sake of doing it; they aren't much interested in teaching. The course curriculum is the same as at GTU, except for 2-3 new subjects. Exams are easy to medium, never hard. Most students pass easily with only one week of study.

Good placement and experienced faculty members.

Placements: 90% of students got placed in our course. The highest package was near about 10 LPA and the lowest package was about 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies like Infoys and TCS visit the campus to hire students. Most students got the internship in TCS and Crest Data System.

Infrastructure: The facilities that provides are average but the labs, classroom were well-equipped and well developed. The hostel is not good as the food in the hostel in unhygienic so most of the people doesn't go there as the room was also not clean and unhygienic.

Faculty: Teachers are so helpful and kind. They solve every doubt that the students have and they can ask any question from the teachers. They provide the best answer according to their knowledge. The course is updated with the current technology.

GCET is one of the best college in Gujarat for engineering.

Placements: Placements are excellent. About 90% students are got placed in this academic year. We never expect that much of amount of package in this college. Average package is 6LPA. Placement are increasing in every year. Each student get minimum 3.5LPA package in placement.

Infrastructure: College provide all necessary facilities to the every students. Our college infrastructure is outstanding for other than any college. Lot of facilities are available in the class room. In the lab all type of material and instruments required are available. Also Hostel provides all type of facilities to needed every students.

Faculty: I am studying in 3rd year in this college from my observation I observed that the teachers make sure the concepts are well explained and give proper guidance to students who facing problem. The teaching is very good and the quality of teaching is superb.

Other: Nothing. College was very good.

Absolutely recommend for all the students who have just passed out.

Placements: If you get ACPC rank from 1 to 2500 then you will easily get admission in our college. The packages offered range from 5-20 LPA. Companies such as Amazon, Infosys, Upstox, etc. visit this college.

Infrastructure: Labs are very good. At some point, you might think that the labs are slightly old but they all are good. Food available in the mess is also nice but you can get better if you are not taking admission in the college hostel. It is not necessary.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and experienced. They are experts in their domain. The exams are hard and you must do hard work to clear them. There are two exams, one is mid-semester of 40 marks and the other is university’s, which is of 60 marks. Viva is external.

Other: Computer engineering is a vast domain. You can got good opportunities at the end.
