B.Tech in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.4
Best college for academics.
Placements: Around 80/90% get placement and the highest package is around 16 Lacs and the average is 4/5 Lacs. They are company likes Byjus, Reliance, UPL, etc. which comes for campus placement. For my course, UPL and reliance were best. In our college there is no internship programme .
Infrastructure: I don't stay in a hostel so I don't know about hostel, but there are so many PGs available there. The college infrastructure is simple and pleasant, but there is no Wi-Fi for students. There is a lab for each course, and a library where you can issue and borrow books at any time.
Faculty: The faculty of the college has mostly completed Ph.D.s in their fields, and the chemical HoD is an IIT passout. There are many qualified teachers who come from very good colleges. They use PPT to help students understand. Semester exams are the most difficult because they do not provide good internal marks in comparison to others.
Other: This course was chosen because it was in high demand, and the campus for this field is excellent. And I wanted admission to GTU, and our batch was the last batch, so I got into this batch, where there are many clubs and events such as TEDx, Umaze, and so on.

Absolutely satisfied with facility .
Placements: The percentage of placement is high about 90% students were places last year from our seniors rest wants to pursue master, the highest package is 15 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Companies like reliance, nayara, atul, mg hector, infosys, tcs are the major recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Labs are facilitated with new technology like the advance AICTE IDEA lab setup in 2022, hostel infrastructure is now upgraded by renovation and there is sports committee which takes GCET to a position among all GTU colleges. Mess facility is available with hostel.
Faculty: Teachers teach by necessary blackboard explanation, while if required they arrange powerpoint presentations. Course outline is provided with essential information about subject. Experience of teacher is high which gives high exposure to industry. Pass percentage is 98% and difficulty level is moderate, according to blooms taxanomy which tests students understanding level.
Other: This course is best designed by equal practical knowledge and theoretical based. GCET college has setup pilot plant to produce fuel which is project done by HOD of chemical department with incubation with GTU. Technical events are organized every year.

The college has good teaching quality, but the hostel and mess facilities are bad.
Placements: The placements in the chemical engineering department are average. But the teaching process is good, and practical laboratories are good with good instruments. Overall, it is good for learning, and you get good knowledge. Other activities are conducted on campus, so it's very good.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are not good at all. The mess food is not good. Specifically in dinner, the food is bad. The hostel is not clean, and it's a very bad experience. There is no proper management for the hostel.
Faculty: Semester exams are very good to check your knowledge. The difficulty level of semester exams is different for different subjects. Some subjects are difficult, and some are average. So, it's good for students to check their knowledge.

It is not a good college because the infrastructure and campus life are not good.
Placements: About 35-40% of students got placed in our course after covid. The highest package offered is 4 lacs per annum, and the average package is 2 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Nirma Chemicals, Atul Ltd., etc., for chemical engineering. But computer science and information technology have good placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available. Labs are good. The library is good and has many books. But the hostel is the worst. The food quality is very bad. The hostel is very old. The infrastructure of our college is very bad, and during the rainy season, water stores everywhere on the campus.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. They are ME and PhD qualified. The course curriculum is designed by GTU, and the syllabus is very lengthy. The teachers try to create interest in students on courses. Our mid-semester exams are very difficult. The department arranges good industrial visits.

It is a good college with good placements.
Placements: Our college has made good efforts to bring good companies to take part in placement drives on-campus. I am thankful to the placement cell for giving me the best opportunity. The placement cell works hard for the better future of students and I liked it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is fair because the college campus is small compared to the other engineering colleges but the quality of the education students get here even on the small campus is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and have good nature. Exams are the only part where the university is lacking management. Exams are organised by Gujarat Technological University. The course design was also poor. We had to learn the subject which has nothing to do with chemical engineering.

College is absolutely good due to best team of staff and placement of our college.
Placements: 1. Above 80 to 85 % placement record. 2. The lowest salary offered is- 2 Lacs, the highest - 17 Lacs, Average - 6 Lacs was offered. 3. Reliance, Alpha 9, Nirma, Wipro, Adani, Birla, etc. are the top recruiters. 4. Manager, Core engineer, Tech. Person, Senior Interviewer roles were offered. 5. Package depends on student or company. Minimum 4 Lacs, the highest 18 Lacs were offered to our course. 6. 85% students got internship offers.
Infrastructure: 1. Our college established in 1996. Chemical engineering was our college first branch. There are 8 branch. Our college in CVM University. Specifically for chemical engineering there have 6 to 9 lab. Mass transfer lab, Fluid flow lab, Instrumentation process control lab, mechanical operation lab, etc. There were 5 to 6 different classes and Wi-Fi facility also. 2. In our college hostel facility mess and canteen facilities is more good.
Faculty: When we don't know some fundamental such for core subject like in mass transfer, Thermodynamics and Chemical reaction, Kinney's teacher more useful to us. When the hard GATE problem is not solved by us then our staff teach more perfectly.
Other: Chemical engineering scope in world is very good but my chemistry is more good, so that I preferred to choice chemical engineering. My brother and sister also in chemical engineering, whenever I has some problem then my brother teach me more perfectly. Lab work and some fundamental theory which give better improvement in course. IMAZE is our techfest, IIChE is our chemical engineering main event. CVM gives scholarship.

Placements in our college are very good.
Placements: Placements for our batch were good. Many MNCs and regional companies visited the campus and offered a minimum package of 3 LPA. Almost 99% of the students got placed from the computer science department, but only 80% of the students got placed from the chemical and mechanical branches.
Infrastructure: Our campus is small. Our classrooms are good and are equipped with projectors. The labs and workshops are well-equipped and well maintained. The college has a library with a good collection of books. The college is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Indoor games are available on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well experienced in their fields. They taught us in their own unique style. They are very friendly and very supportive. The course curriculum is designed by Gujarat Technical University. They also conduct an industrial visit for the students of our batch to get more exposure.

The college is amazing for placements and can do something in your life.
Placements: For placements, this college is the best. The college is a king for its placements. Lots of companies are coming for T & P, and for all the branches, the placements are well. For computer and IT, is maybe 99.99%, and for other branches, the percentage should be above 50%.
Infrastructure: The college library, labs, and Wi-Fi facility are good. In the library, all books are available. For sports and games, the college is like heaven. Table tennis, chess, and some other games are available on the campus. The computer lab is available, and also in this college, we have a programmed our own GIS system and GCET information systems. In that, all the study related materials, assignment, marks, and attendance is there.
Faculty: All the faculty members are good and well-experienced in that particular field. Mostly all the senior faculty members have above 5-6 years of teaching experience, so teaching is the best. Also, the lab assistants have above 5-6 years of experience and enough knowledge of that particular subject.
Other: Lots of events are organised on the campus, but in one of them, IMAZE is the biggest event in our college. Tech fest and poster presentation activities are also there on the campus.
