Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty and placements, the infrastructure is very bad.
Placements: To be honest, companies do visit the campus, but they keep a placement pool where students from nearby colleges also visit and give interviews. Many seniors of mine have been sitting in multiple interviews and are still not placed despite of have 8 plus CGPA. A few of them with 9 plus CGPA have opted for non-tech roles like HR, etc because of the pressure of not getting selected by tech companies, so most of them have 3.5 LPA and max 4 LPA. Hardly 5-8 people have got more than 5 LPA, and that too by off-campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is for faculty only, and LAN is for computer labs, which is also very slow, out of 40, only 30 computers hardly work. Classes are for 80-90 students with 6 fans and wooden benches. The hostel is horrible, and the food is bad too. The sports room has 1 table tennis, 1 carrom, and 1 chessboard, nothing else. Almost everybody changes their hostel after staying in it for 1st year.
Faculty: Only 3-4 faculties are eligible enough to teach because they know about their subjects, other all are just reading out the PPTs and nothing else. Mid exams are conducted twice a day, and then remedial exams are taken 2 times for those who are failing. External exams are tough compared to internal exams, and almost all students have above 7 CGPA.
Other: There are CP, CSD, IT ,IOT, ICT, and all of them are 95-98% same, except for 2-3 subjects from the whole course of 8 semesters. So, counting 90 students per branch is 450 students sitting in the placement for every tech company coming. If CVM University organises any events, then only the event happens for all colleges under CVM , no college events are conducted, and if it happens, the organising team is biased and makes their own team the winners to avoid price distribution.

Good infrastructure, faculty is good but sometimes the faculty don't respond you.
Placements: 40% of students are placed in companies in our batch. Everything is average. Torrent Power, Reliance, and Adani also come for placements. 3.7 LPA is the package given by the industry. The role offer is for design and manufacturing.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so good, but the college does not provide Wi-Fi. Classrooms are so good. The hostel does not provide drinking water, and mess food is very disgusting. There is no taste, and the only menu every day is potatoes. There are no medical facilities in hostel, and also no sports and games.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average. Some teachers are not helping you. There are minimum industrial visits, special in the mechanical branch. Some teachers are confused about the answers to any questions. Sometimes when students ask any questions, the teachers are not able to answer them.
Other: My batch is so intelligent. In my class, we have 2 batches, one is regular and the other is D2D.

I got a placement from my college placement office. This is only honest review you need to read.
Placements: In my course, most of students are dumb enough that they don't have enough skills to land a placement. Most students go to Canada for masters due to poor education. I got 2 internships at once, still they won't give me NOC. I got reminded due to that. They won't even give you medical leave. Remember, if you take admission here you will regret it for sure. The chairman only wants money, no placement at all. I got placement from my college, still I would say don't take admission.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there, labs are good, and there is library too but they are very old. Canteen is very poor only good thing is hostel. It's pretty good with good infrastructure. Course is totally bad, they won't even teach you 20% of the placement, you are on your own.
Faculty: I would say it's very poor. Professors don't know a thing in reality and everything is theory-based, with no practical knowledge. Top professors are much more dumb. I would say many students have more knowledge than that professor. Faculty members are totally clueless, they won't give you even 1% education. You are whole on your own. It's very poor I would say my professors are just the worst.
Other: Batch is good, and students are good. But course is very poor, and I would say they should add some newer technology at least.

It's empowered by education.
Placements: For the start of the corporate job, it's a good platform for the placement of freshers and doing well in the growth. Many companies arrive and get students from our college, it starts from 7th semester, or we can also be placed off campus and start growing.
Infrastructure: Currently, the renovation of the hostel is done, and further renovation is being done in college infrastructure. It's crease the classrooms and timing. Also renovated the washrooms and every day clean them, and also every day clean the whole college, classrooms, and labs, and keep them shiny.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very well-educated and have a Ph.D. So it is very helpful in learning. They did their course in a time period. They help us to solve our doubts and inspire us to take part in many global activities. They help us to participate in the competition.
Other: College organizes events related to coding competition, Annual Day, Concert, etc., for entertainment and growing skills.

Lab, classroom, teaching style, and placement need improvement; not worth it for the fees.
Placements: In our placements, it is not good. When I visited the college for the first time, I asked about the average package and the highest package. They told me lies; now our placement scenario is very poor. Just approximately 10-15% of students are placed, and the remaining 85% are still not placed, despite 70-75% of companies visiting. The companies do not offer a good package and sign a 2.5-3-year bond with a low amount.
Infrastructure: Some courses are good, and many subjects are very old, which are not needed, and the subject scheduling is not good. Good, placement-needed courses are taught late. Hostel rooms are good, and Wi-Fi is provided properly in the rooms. The hostel's mess food tastes okay sometimes, and sometimes not good.
Faculty: Many faculty members are just reading from PPTs & PDFs, mostly theoretical, and are trying to complete the syllabus quickly. Feedback forms are not taken seriously. The college exam structure is good. They need to improve their approach to teaching, and junior teachers are not able to handle the crowd.
Other: I want to say it's not "value for money." You invest approximately a total of 6-7 lakhs rupees for 4 years, and what you are getting in return is a placement for 3.5-4.5 LPA with a 2.5-3-year bond. They are increasing seats but not taking responsibility for quality teaching.

Placement and college life are average.
Placements: Placement Rate is around 65 to 70 percent. The highest Package offered is 9 LPA, average Package is 3 LPA and lowest Package is 1.8 LPA. Top Recruiting Companies are Einfochips, Matrix Comsec and Tatvasoft. 60 percent students got internships through college mostly in core and IT services companies. Top Roles Offered: Software Trainee, QA Engineer, Embedded Developer, Support Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the Information Technology department is average. Basic labs and classrooms are available. The equipment and environment are not up to the mark for practical, hands-on learning in a modern IT curriculum. The college also lacks a proper sports ground, which limits outdoor activities and overall campus life. The hostel stay is decent in terms of accommodation and security. Rooms are livable and maintained, but the mess is the biggest downside. Poor food quality and hygiene issues are common concerns among students.
Faculty: The faculty in the IT department is mixed. Some professors are knowledgeable and supportive, while others rely heavily on theoretical teaching with limited practical exposure. Industry-level insights are lacking in regular lectures. The curriculum follows the standard GTU-aligned structure, covering essential subjects in software development, networking, and database systems. It's not fully aligned with the latest industry trends like cloud computing, DevOps, or cybersecurity unless pursued through electives or self-learning.

Good and bad sides of GCET.
Placements: G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology offers students placement opportunities with almost 20 to 30 companies. The average package last year is 4 LPA, and so far, the maximum package for the 2024–2025 batch is around 25 LPA. This college provides the best opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology has the best facilities for students. There are almost 8 to 9 labs available for programming. All labs have i7 computers with high graphic cards for coding. This college has a two-floor library one floor for reading library books and the other for writing.
Faculty: G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology has the best faculty for all subjects. All faculty members are very humble and experienced. They are always ready to help students. Each faculty member holds either a Ph.D. or a Master's degree in their respective subject. Every faculty member has their own, but effective, teaching method. Overall, faculty members are good and humble.

Admission to GCET for design-interested students is worth it.
Placements: In my course, 60% of students are placed in various companies in 2024-25. The highest package is around 7.12 LPA, and the lowest package is around 2.7 LPA. The average package is around 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, and Adani Group. The top role offered in particular in my course is designing because my course is Computer Science Design.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure. GCET provides Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus, including in classrooms and labs. The labs are well-equipped with average computers, while the classrooms feature modern smart boards and comfortable seating. The library is spacious and has an extensive collection of books.
The hostel offers many amenities, including 24/7 true 5G Wi-Fi. The rooms, which are attached to bathrooms and toilets, are adequately furnished for comfortable living. However, the quality of the mess food is quite low. Overall, the infrastructure of both the college and the hostel is impressive. Additionally, sports and games weeks at GCET are scheduled to take place from February to March.
Faculty: GCET college teachers are really helpful in every subject. There are most of the teachers are qualified with a Ph.D. In my course curriculum set, as I am graduating after 4 years, I am ready to face the problems of the real world. Semester exams are not enough to be hard enough to fail. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I am interested in designing the logo and website pages in a web development role; therefore, I would like to join this course. There are very beautiful events organized by CVM University. Our university scholarships are really helpful to me.
