Industry-ready course with good placements and facilities-CSBS at GPREC.

Placements: At G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, students are placed in my course. Around 80-85% of students from our CSBS batch were placed. Highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. Lowest salary package was 3.5 LPA. Average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Top companies included TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, and Wipro. Students can have opportunities for companies and startups through off-campus drives

Infrastructure: CSBS department has access to modern computer labs with high-speed internet, a smart classroom, and access to a digital and central library. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Hostels are decent with 24/7 security and backup power. Mess food is okay, with balanced diet plans.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are well qualified and hold PhDs and are pursuing one. They are helpful and conduct regular doubt sessions and coding workshops. Semester exams are moderate, with around 90% pass percentage if prepared well.

Other: Considering the quality of teaching, placements, infrastructure, and exposure, the fee is reasonable. With around 1.4 lakh as the fee for 4 years (including hostel and mess ).

An Unfiltered Review and Experience of My College

Placements: Our branch is Computer Science and Business Systems, designed in collaboration with TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). We have bright chances in both software development and business analysis. Recently, our seniors secured placements, with a total of 9 out of 60 students getting into TCS, with the highest package being 11 LPA, followed by 9 LPA and others with 6 LPA. Nearly 23 students got placements in various companies. Due to the current recession, many did not secure placements, but almost 95% of students got internships. Three students got into Microsoft, 15 into Cisco, and others into various companies. The top roles offered are 1. Software Developer 2. Business Analyst 3. Business Manager, etc.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi in our college works with the MAC address of students' devices, providing very high-speed internet. All classrooms are equipped with projectors for digital teaching. Labs are up to date, with a new block for our branch ensuring that systems and equipment are current, providing excellent adaptation to the software industry. Labs are equipped with central AC. Hostel life is very good, with the girls' hostel being very secure and safe, with tight security and no trespassing allowed. The boys' hostel, recently constructed, is also very nice and neat. Outsiders are not allowed inside the hostels, and both girls' and boys' hostels have grounds for play. The food in the mess is very good, with a wide variety of options. As G. Pull Reddy is vegetarian by choice, the hostels are also vegetarian, and non-veg food is not served or allowed. Medical facilities are poor, as no medical services are provided; students should bring their own medicine and tablets.

Faculty: Every teacher at G. Pull Reddy Engineering College is qualified. While some teachers may not be strong in their subjects, many are excellent in their work. I appreciate the faculty for subjects like IP, CD, OOPS, etc. The course and curriculum are relevant and helpful for growth in companies and survival in the industry. Our college focuses more on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. However, there is an issue with programming languages, as it still teaches outdated languages like C and C++. The semester exams are tough, testing students' understanding of the subject. The grading system is based on GPA and CGPA, with each subject earning credits each semester. The pass percentage is at least 35% in final exams and 20% in mid-term exams, with 75% attendance mandatory.

Other: I chose this course in Computer Science and Business Systems because it blends both fields, allowing students to be flexible, adapt to new roles, and focus on emerging trends. The only thing I wish was improved is the programming languages taught, as the focus is still on C and C++ rather than Java and Python. There are many clubs and forums on campus, with regular events that foster connectivity with students from other branches and years. Extracurricular activities are good, and sports and events are improving each year. The campus is peaceful, with trees everywhere.

Review of student's life at GPREC.

Placements: 80 percent of students were placed in our course. 3200000 is the highest package, 200000 is the lowest and 800000 is the average package. TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Accenture were the recruiting companies. 80 percent of students got internships. Positions are offered in the IEEE society's.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities were not good, and lab facilities were good, as were the libraries. The quality of food in the hostel is good and there are no better medical facilities in our hostel. There were no better sports and games in the hostel but the space is good for jogging, etc.

Faculty: Teachers were good at helping, and they were also qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is important for improving students. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The exams were not tough. 75 percent of students passed.

Other: I chose this because I can go on the business side and also the software side. Our course was designed by TCS. I wish to improve more people so that all can know the uses of our course. Events like ethnic day, fest, etc.
