Placements: For the teaching profession, our college takes its students who had passed their courses. The highest package offered in our course is 3.6 LPA and the lowest package offered is 1.2 LPA. Approximately 45% of students got an internship from our course.
Infrastructure: Our college has department wise libraries, separate classrooms according to major subjects. There is an average quality of food available in the mess. The canteen of our college is on par and provides varieties of snacks to munch. There is a gym in the college, especially for students physical growth and strength.
Faculty: The teachers possess every quality. The quality of teachers teaching is good, and they are very knowledgeable. Faculty uses different methods of teaching to easily understandable by the students. Tests and timely seminars take by teachers to increase competitiveness in students.
Other: I choose this course because it is helpful for my career. Our college should provide more scholarship programs so that students can benefit from it. There is augment the involvement in stuff along with study such as sports, inter-college competitions, etc.

Highly satisfied with the college and it's outcomes.
Placements: Since M.Com course is a traditional course and is not a professional course, therefore there is not any campus recruitment or college placement. Placements do not come for M.Com Course. But if a student has a good academic record then the college itself provide an opportunity of employment in the junior sections, I. e the graduation or higher secondary section. Moreover colleges and institutes, like the KC Das Commerce College, NERIM or Icon Commerce College provides recruitment to the students graduating from Gauhati Commerce College.
Infrastructure: Master's degree classrooms are fully air-conditioned with reasonably good washrooms and lavatory. The library is well-equipped with all the books, magazines and journals that a post graduate student requires. There is not any internet connection provided to the students. Projectors are available in each of the classrooms. There is a canteen in the college which is sufficient for the students to get there burger urge to settle down quite happily. The college also has installed a modern Gymnasium Hall with all the modern equipments. Apart from academics, the college also focuses on sports and games.
Faculty: It's because of the teachers that students get attracted towards the college as faculty is a mixture of old and experienced teachers with new young and energetic teachers who gives a good teaching experience. As found in most of the colleges, there are certain exceptions in the faculty and staff. Course curriculum is slightly backwards due to its affiliation with the concerned University, which is not that up to date.

Satisfied because of faculty and the good infrastructure with facilities.
Placements: There is currently no placement facility available for the M.Com department at Gauhati Commerce College. None of the students from our batch get officially placed through campus recruitment. As a result details like the highest lowest or average package are not applicable. Similarly no recruiting companies are associated with the department. Only a few students manage to get internships on their own. Mainly in small firms or local financial institutions. The college has good faculty and academic support but placement support for postgraduate commerce students is lacking and needs urgent attention.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for the M.Com department are top-notch. The quality of the food available in the canteen is average. The college provides students with free Wi-Fi. Library facilities are also available for students. Satisfied with the department.
Faculty: Teachers in the M.Com department are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts. The teaching quality is commendable and academically strong. The curriculum is relevant and updated, but it leans more towards theoretical knowledge and lacks practical exposure, which is essential for making students fully industry-ready. The semester exams are moderately difficult, but with proper preparation and regular attendance, students can manage well. The pass percentage is quite high, around 85–90%, as most students clear their exams on time. Overall, the academic experience is solid, but practical skills integration can be improved.
Other: I chose this course because I want to gain in-depth knowledge in commerce and business studies, and Gauhati Commerce College has a strong academic reputation in the region. The best things about the course are the experienced and dedicated faculty, a structured syllabus, and good classroom infrastructure. However, I feel the course could benefit from more industry exposure, practical sessions, and placement support, which are currently lacking. The campus crowd is diverse and academically focused. Events and fests are limited, but the environment is peaceful and conducive to study. Connectivity to the college is good, and the surrounding area is safe. Scholarships are available for meritorious and economically weaker students. Extracurricular activities exist but could be expanded further to promote holistic development.
