College faculty members and teaching methods are good. Teachers are friendly to everyone.
Placements: My college has tie-ups with many companies. They provide internship opportunities and they provide work opportunities at JP Morgan. They provide internships after every 2 semesters. Internships are compulsory. It has a great placement but the major factor is about students and skills they provide an opportunity to sit in big placement interview. The highest package is 56 LPA. Many students are placed with very good packages.
Infrastructure: Guwahati Commerce College is very interesting. Teaching and extracurricular activities offered by the college and other union bodies are very fun and all students loved it. The union bodies are also very helpful to everyone. College bathrooms need to be maintained.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly skilled and provide great support to students. They possess extensive knowledge of real-time projects and are always willing to help. Their guidance and expertise make a significant impact on students' learning experiences.

I like the teachers in this college.
Placements: There were Amazon, Flipkart, and Federal Bank placements at GU, and the department under the government took part. Students from the 3rd semester could join placements. A very low number of students got placements, and also most of them had different fields they wanted to explore.
Infrastructure: In our hostel room, we had a bed, one study table, one cupboard, one chair, etc. The review of the hostel food was 4 stars. Food was not taste and we did not have sufficient protein. The college will allot the room and give the room number. Outside our university, we had some private hostels.
Faculty: This curriculum included courses related to commerce and it prepared us for the real world which was quite well. Though it needed a lot of improvement which included internships. This course should include internships so that students can work in the real world and gain some practical knowledge. Exams were held 4 to 8 times a year and were quite difficult. Class size was 60.

I'm satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: The placement cell is mostly run by senior students and teachers. It is weak. Around 30-40% of students got placements in recent years. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. There is no data for the highest package. Internship campaigns are also run by students.
Infrastructure: I like the infrastructure and facilities that they are providing. Buildings and structures are newly renovated. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus with good quality of speed. Average size classrooms and labs are there. Huge libraries, medical rooms, mess and canteen are provided.
Faculty: I like the most their course curriculum because it helps students with personality and overall skill development. I could say that it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy to pass and have a moderate level of difficulty. With a proper guidance of teachers, it is achievable.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the placement cell, good infrastructure, and other facilities.
Placements: Very few students are placed in my course. No one has been placed in the recent years. Recently, no company has come for campus recruitment. Internship is not provided by the course; students can take internships on their own. Top roles offered in our course are managerial.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is provided to students in both the classroom and library, and there is one computer lab. Hostels are also provided for the accommodation of the students. The quality of facilities in the hostels is very good; the quality of food provided in the canteen and hostel is average.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The exams are not too difficult; they are of a moderate level.

Strong academics and decent placements.
Placements: Recruiting companies included Wipro, Tata Steel, HCI, etc. Courses offered were MBA, BBA, M.Com, and many more. Career counseling and support services were appreciated by the students. However, they did not offer this for BBA students, who could still participate on campus placements as it was one of the best colleges in the city.
Infrastructure: Hostel mess was run by students, so the food quality was very good. High-quality classrooms and computer labs were available, and I think it was the best college in terms of infrastructure, with adequate classrooms and a library. Campus was well-maintained and conducive to learning.
Faculty: The course offered was relevant and helped students develop various life skills as well as improve academically. The teaching staff of the college was very experienced in their respective fields, and they were very friendly with the students. However, the examination process was also very outdated as it hardly challenged the solving ability of the students.
Other: I have always been very interested in banking, finance, marketing, and management, and this course prepared students to work in those fields.

Strong Academics, Decent Placements.
Placements: Recruiting companies are Wipro, Tata Steel, HCl, Wipro, etc. Courses offered are MBA, BBA, M. Com, and more. Career counseling is appreciated by students. They don't do this for BBA students but can go for off-campus placements as it is one of the best colleges in the city.
Infrastructure: The hostel mess is run by students, so the food quality is very good. The college has decent infrastructure with adequate classrooms, libraries, and computer labs. High-quality classrooms and computer labs are available and l think it is the best college in terms of infrastructure.
Faculty: The course offered is relevant and helps the students to develop various life skills as well as improve academically. The teaching staff of the college is very experienced in their respective fields, and they are very friendly with the students. The examination process is also very outdated as it hardly challenges the problem-solving ability of the students.
Other: I have always been very interested in banking, finance, marketing, and management and this course prepares students to work in those fields. Various events like Freshers, Valedictory, College Week, Departmental Fest, Seminar, College Selection, and many more are organized in this college.

The placements and infrastructure here are fairly good in all aspects.
Placements: There are ample opportunities for placements. Also internships and recruitments in various banking companies and private limited companies are available with an average package of 3.5 Lacs. HDFC bank and Bandhan bank offer jobs. Do not worry about the placements, they are pretty much okay.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi, classrooms, laboratory, computers, hall, and common room available. Everything is kept clean. There is a main gate having a security guard along with CCTV cameras. There is a basketball court and a beautiful garden in the campus. The faculty here is very good with a very disciplined department.
Faculty: Most of the students here are very competitive. The faculty is very knowledgeable, efficient and very impressive. The professors are very helpful in doing practical work on various projects. The curriculum activities are very good. Many games and annual programs are organized. If you want admission in commerce, you need a graduation certificate with 45% marks. All the exams are organized here with regular timings every semester.

Good academic environment and infrastructure, but employability needs improvement.
Placements: Our college was visited by the top companies like AMUL, ICICI Bank, Bandhan Bank, Asian Paints, Berger Paints, HDFC Bank, etc., for recruitment. However, we didn't secure any placements here. Instead, we interned at NGOs like Shishu Sarathi, M.A. Old Home, and Ashadeep Mental Health Care.
Infrastructure: Guwahati University had facilities like Wi-Fi, lab technician, equipment, and very good classrooms. Wi-Fi was available in our university. Classrooms and lab rooms were very clean. Both hostel and canteen were available inside our university. Wi-Fi was also available, but hostel accommodation for B.Tech was not that good. There was no separate hostel for B.Tech students.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, highly qualified, and possessed good knowledge and skills. The course syllabus was relevant for preparing students for the industry. Exams at Guwahati University were moderately difficult, with around a 75% pass percentage.
Other: I personally chose to pursue linguistics because of my keen interest in learning languages, and it provided a broad platform to work on my interests. The events, festivals, campus environment, scholarships, and extracurricular activities were all good.

Yes you definitely need a gap certificate when you go to take admission in any college. You have to mention in that certificate about any other course or any other diploma you have done in that particular year. Gap year is basucally kept for the record purpose of the student.
