Gandhi Institute of Management and Technology Admission Process 2025
Formerly known as Gandhi Academy of Management Studies, this institute came into being in 2000. Currently, it is known as Gandhi Institute of Management and Technology. It is located at Salt Lake City, Kolkata and is a UGC-approved institute. GMIT Kolkata offers courses in affiliation with MAKAUT, Singhania University, Bharat Sebak Samaj and Nieusbud.
GIMT Eligibility & Selection 2025
GIMT admission process is both entrance and merit-based. All students get admission here on the basis of their academic score and there is no management quota here. GIMT admission process involves several steps. Check below step-wise admission process:
1: GIMT Application Process
Candidates must first register to apply for the preferred course. Once registered, aspirants have fill out the application form duly by selecting the desired course and providing the specified details.
2: Selection Process
The institute shortlists students based on their or entrance exam scores.

GIMT follows both, online as well as offline application process. Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the application form:
1: Go to the official website of the institute at www.gimtindia.in.
2: On the home page, you will find ‘Admission Open 2020’ option. Click on that.
3: You will be redirected to the online application form. Fill your basic details as asked.
4: Check all the details before clicking on ‘Submit’.
5: Check your email ID which will confirm the submission of your application.

Gandhi Institute of Management and Technology BSc is a four-year programme. The total GIMT fee for BSc is INR 2.99 lakh for four years. In addition to the course fee, the fee structure may include certain other charges, such as one-time fees. The mentioned fee is sourced from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.
GIMT offers courses like B.Sc., BBA, MBA, and others. The fee at GIMT Kolkata can also be paid through Government Quota wherein the students have to pay INR 50,000 as the total fee. GIMT Kolkata fees can be paid either in semester installments or yearly installments. The breakdown of the total GIMT Kolkata fee is given below;
- Tuition fee - INR 2,45,000
- Development fee -INR 25,000
- Caution money - INR 5,000
- Total - INR 2,75,000
In case of yearly installments, students will have to pay an amount of INR 1,42,500 every year while an amount of INR 73,750 must be paid every semester in case of semester wise payments.
