GITAM is the best college.
Placements: More than 80% of the students get placed from our college. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. Tech Mahindra and TCS are the top recruiting companies. Almost 80% of the students got internships from the civil course. Companies like Deloitte, Optum, Keka, TCS Digital, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit the campus. The top companies offer placements in this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are very good in GITAM and labs are neat with air-conditioners. We also have good classrooms and a library. In the hostel, the quality of food served is very tasty. Medical facilities are available in GITAM and they take care of the students' health. Sports and games are amazing.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good and we can't find such teachers in any other college. They move in a friendly manner and are very helpful to gain knowledge. They also help to prepare for the exams. It is easy to get the semester marks, and if we get good marks in the semester, then they provide a scholarship to that student.
Other: I chose this course because it was my aim and interest to be a civil engineer. This course has a bright future in private jobs or government jobs. Fest and events are held well here and scholarships are provided. Campus surroundings are full of trees and beautiful nature.

Campus recruitment training helps us clear examinations & make us feel confident during interviews.
Placements: Most of the students who opt for placements get placed in IT companies. We have a programme called Campus recruitment training that helps us clear the examinations and make us feel confident during the interviews, the average package offered was 3.5-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Being a day scholar I'm not allowed to go to the hostel, but I know that the breakfast served in the mess is good. We have one of the best playgrounds and we have a very well built hospital of GITAM and can probably avail free medical services.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very well experienced and have good knowledge about workplaces, most of them have been working since the department had been established. They are also influential and helped us get internships but they got cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic.

Good infrastructure and a very knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: 1. More than 80% of the students were placed.
2. The average salary was around 3 LPA.
3. Companies like Vijay Nirman, Vishwanath Avenues, Shapoorji etc visit the campus.
4. Jr. Quantity Surveyor is the role offered.
5. Around 2 LPA is the package offered in my course.
6.100% students got internship from companies like L&T, Shapoorji, Shobha developers etc.
Infrastructure: 1. The classrooms and labs are fully furnished in such a way that a student takes full value of it and also gives him the interest to study there.
2 There is a huge ground which helps the students to indulge in some physical activity and also sports competitions among different branches are conducted each year.
Faculty: 1. The teachers are fully qualified and have a vast knowledge in the subject they teach. They make the students understand the concept easily.
2. The course curriculum is in such a way that it also helps a weak student to understand everything easily.
Other: 1. I choose civil engineering because I have a huge interest in that.
2. It would be better if more companies visit for placements.
3. Technical and non-technical events are conducted once in a year.

Placements: About 10% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 3.3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra visit our campus for placements. A top role offered to the students is a software engineer. All the students got an internship in companies like L&T and Central Soil Material Research Station.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in our college at super speed. It had a download speed of about 100 Mbps. Labs were filled with equipment and necessary tools for us to be able to learn better. Classrooms had a capacity of 66 students. The library is a heaven for those who like to read. Quality of the food served to the students is good. All sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were PhD holders from high esteemed institutions. Their teaching was solely concentrated upon getting things into the head. Proper personality development classes were not encouraged, which lead to a decline in placements.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am from a family with a huge civil engineering background.

Review of GITAM University Visakhapatanam.
Placements: Placements are conducted only in IT companies, and only a few core companies visit our campus for placements. The salary package offered range from 2.5-5lakhs in any IT companies. T&C, Accenture, etc., were the top recruiting companies. Roles offered were an associate software engineer. The salary package offered varied from 3.25 LPA to 5.4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA for civil engineering students. The college didn't provide any internship, and students should do an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The college provides adequate facilities like updated labs, a knowledge resource centre with both online E-learning and offline library facilities. Classrooms were average. The Wi-Fi facility was okay. The mess is good but needs to be improved. The medical facilities are very good at GITAM. Sports and games were both indoor and outdoor, and students can play.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very good. They provide the learning material provided, and it is very helpful rather than the actual textbook for preparation. They provide both theory and practical learning. Industry knowledge can be improved, but the class curriculum is good. The course is curriculum relevant, and all students get industry knowledge but not full exposure, and it can be improved.

Placements: Almost 100% for the students got placed who appear for the placement process in GITAM. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA to 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Nagarjuna Construction. Sr. engineer, site engineer, etc., are the top roles offered to students. The highest salary package offered in Civil engineering branch was 5.4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Every student in the field of civil engineering was offered internships in companies like L&T, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of GITAM is top-notch with the continuous zeal of development. Our college consists of knowledge resource centre (KRC) or library, fully functional classrooms with different Wi-Fi networks for both students and faculty members, industry-standard labs. Hostels facilities are decent, mess and canteen are good. Students are provided with good indoor and outdoor sports. Medical facilities are very good and fully operational.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are easy to approach, and everyone is qualified and knowledgeable in their respective domains. The teaching quality followed in college is good with analysis of the industry up-gradation and standards. The course curriculum is relevant as per the stream, and the students do get the skills required for industry exposure.

Not much satisfied with the college.
Placements: Most of the students were placed in IT sector irrespective of their branch. Though the number of jobs being offered to the students is increasing, there is no much improvement in the percentage of core jobs especially for the branches like mechanical, electrical and civil.
Infrastructure: Most of the facilities are available, but the freedom to use those facilities is very limited. Only the campuses which were built recently are provided with all the facilities. You should rush if you want to borrow books from the lending section of the library as there are only limited copies available.
Faculty: Only a few faculty members of our department have completed their PhDs, and most of the faculty members are pursuing PhDs. The interaction between the students and the faculty is always appreciable. The quality of teaching is up to the mark, and only a few faculty members explain the subject innovatively.

A review of Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: Placements were good for CSE branch. The core side placements are low. Only some companies are there for core, and they recruit only 1 or 2 students from the whole branch. Our placement coordinator has to take more steps in future and has to be very active. All students get a chance to attend the interviews, but the companies requirements are low.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure and maintenance. At every proper situation, there will be a guide to explain all the things and there is easy acknowledgment. We are very happy to have such facilities in our college. Wi-Fi is enabled in the campus and classrooms are good. Sports and extracurricular activities are very good. There is a good atmosphere and good canteens.
Faculty: Faculty members were good, and the course curriculum was really very good. They give a good response, and they are helpful in every situation. They give good advice in decision making and guidance for us. They explain us about the society and what are expectations and requirements of the culture that is accepted. All the details are fully explained by our faculty members.
