Goa Institute of Management CAT cutoff stood at 85 percentile for 2020, 2021 and 2022 for the General category students. So, condisering the past year cutoff trend, yes a student with 80 percentile in CAT can get admission to PGDM at GIM Goa.
Common Admission Test commonly known as CAT is a national level management aptitude test which is conducted by the IIM for MBA/ PGDM admission. Candidates seeking admission to GIM Goa must appear for the CAT exam.
Candidates need to qualify national-level entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, etc. for admission to PGDM programme. Aspirants must score equal or above the GIM Goa cutoff to take admission. Below is the minimum percentile required to get in GIM Goa:

XAT cut off is released category wise. The cut off percentile for female candidates and male candidates are different. The cut offs for engineering and non engineering candidates are different and XAT cut offs for PGDM BM and PGDM HRM are different. As per the GIM Goa cutoff 2023, the percentile was 85 for the General All India category students. So, considering the previous year cutoff trend, a candidate should score above or in the range of 80 to 85 percentile in XAT.
MBA/ PGDM is the flagship programme of Goa Insitute of Management. It is offered in four specialisations at the PG level. The total tuition fees of PGDM course ranges between INR 5.3 lakh and INR 19.4 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates who will qualify all the selection rounds for PGP admission will be required to pay the course to confirm their seat in the institute. In case, a candidates is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates need to pay a application fee to apply for admission.
The application fee ranges between INR 1,750 and INR 3,000 plus GST depending on the time of application for one or two courses. The fee increases, if a candidates applies for more than two courses.

Candidates need to pay the course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat in the institute. Besides, aspirants also need to pay a one-time fee of INR 10,000 for admission.
Yes, GIM Goa offer waiver in tuition fee. GIM Goa provides a tuition fee waiver scheme to students whose family income is less than INR 8 LPA to PGDM students. The tuition fee waiver is awarded to deserving students subject to a maximum of 5% of the students admitted. The facility of education loans is also available to students. The awardees would get a full waiver of the tuition fee. The award shall be based on the assessment of the financial need, considering total family income and economic condition of the family.
At the PG level, the Goa Institute of Management (GIM Goa) offers two-year full-time PGDM, HCM, BDA, BIFS, and IDA courses to students. The PGDM fee is INR 5.3 lakh - INR 19.4 lakh. This fee is exclusive of various charges such as the admission charges, transportation charges, and several other charges. Students can apply for scholarships if the fee is too high.

Considering the past three years trend, the CAT cutoff remained consistent for GIM for open category. As per the GIM CAT cutoff 2024, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM cutoff stood at 95 for CAT for the General AI category candidates. However, for other PGDM specialisations, it stood at 98.5 in 2024. So, the expected can be same for separate PGDM specialisation. Further, the GIM cutoff 2025 is yet to be released.
Aspirants need to pass a master's degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent grade to apply for Goa Institute of Management FPM programme. Candidates must also secure a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 12 to apply for admission.
FPM is offered in 12 specialisations, namely Economics, Finance, Big Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, etc.
Admission to GIM Goa is entrance-based. Candidates must first apply for admission via online mode. GIM Goa PGDM is a two-year full-time flagship programme accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). PGDM is offered in four specialisations. The institute offers PGDM in four specialisations, namely:

The institute offers a four-year full-time residential Fellowship Programme in Management at the doctoral level. The course is offered in 12 specialisations. Admission to FPM course is based on XAT/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ JRF scores followed by a PI round. The institute also considers the academic performance, work experience, research proposal and statement of purpose of the candidates. A pass in master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent grade along with 60% aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent is required to apply for the FPM course. CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.
The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.
The selection is done in two rounds, namely the regular and the achiever's rounds. For the PGDM course, a small number of candidates is selected for an early interview in Goa. Aspirants eligible for the achiever’s round can apply for ACCESS scholarships. Admission to PGDM course is based on XAT, CAT, CMAT, GMAT scores followed by face-to-face evaluation and profile assessment index. For PGDM BDA, aspirants must also qualify GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) for admission. Additionally, Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) is required to apply for the PGDM course. Candidates appearing in the final year of the degree must obtain 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for the PGDM course.
