Good college that provides value for money.

Placements: 90 percent students were placed in the course. Average package offered is INR 4 lacs pa and highest is INR 21 lacs pa. Deloitte, EY, PWC are the top recruiting companies for the course. There were internship opportunities from companies like DE Shaw Accounting executive is the top role offered.

Infrastructure: There is a games room, good library and classes with smartboards. The college has spacious classrooms which have huge windows which makes the summers bearable for the students. The washrooms are okay. The college is very old and has an aesthetic vibe to it.

Faculty: Good faculty with highly educated teachers. The teachers are mostly reachable. They are down to earth and helpful towards the students. Most of the teachers are really good at their job. The course curriculum is relevant and as per the university requirements.

It is a good choice to pursue M.Com.

Placements: This year due to COVID-19 pandemic, placements have been very poor in our college, which is not our college fault. However, in the previous year, there were amazing placements, which will be the same criteria every year. I don't have complaints about placements.

Infrastructure: We have been noticed over the last few years that there should be improvements. However, the library has updated newly, and it is very well-stocked now. But the food in the canteen isn't available on most of the days, but it is not a problem as there are many eateries around the college which provide healthy food.

Faculty: Teachers here have been available to us in every aspect. They have guided us throughout the change of course curriculum and procedure. They do their best and support the students in every way possible. The course curriculum makes us ready for the real world and is very up to date.

Other: I wish that our college should include some industry training in our course in future so that students can gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

It is a top commerce college in Kolkata.

Placements: It is a commerce college. Top companies like Deloitte and many others companies visit our college for placement every year. They hire all the top students who scored minimum 60% marks in the final year. All the companies try to give the best possible package for freshers, and it's a quite good amount.

Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facility. Classrooms are huge. It provides good quality benches and chairs.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very helpful and very supportive. They help us with all the notes related to studies. They always try to give us the best knowledge of the course other than what is given in books. They help us with soft copy notes, and they always maintained connection through phone. It is a government college with very talented professional and in charge. Faculty members are highly qualified professionals. They are doctorates. Some teachers even wrote many business books like accounts, audit, costing, etc.

Review of GCCBA (Kolkata).

Placements: Placement Cell is present, Multinational Companies have come in the past for placements. But the absorption rate is very now, again many companies fail to come due to infrastructural inefficiency. MNCs like Pwc, Wipro have come in the past, but the job offering is low.

Infrastructure: Wi-fi facility is available, but not always functional. There is full size library and a reading room, with plenty of books that can be either borrowed or just lent for reading. The gym is equipped, but remains closed. There are projectors in few of the classrooms as well.

Faculty: The faculty is mostly helpful. Most of the teachers are quite knowledgeable, qualified and very helpful. Industrial exposure has not been possible for the students for the infrastructural inefficiency. Students per class are around thirty. Moderately satisfied.

Review of GCCBA Kolkata.

Placements: Placement cell is very strong. Many MNC comes for placement. Though the offered job category is not up to the mark, in relation to the qualification asked for. Average salary is 4.5 to 5 Lacs per annum. There is huge scope for improvement in the placement cell.

Infrastructure: Wi-fi is available through out the building. Some classes even have projectors in them. IT labs are well-equipped. A well stuffed library with a reading room atrached to it for the students. There is also scope for the students in games and sports too.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful. They are quite knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Students to teacher ratio is more or less 50:1. The lectures given by the teachers provide huge impact on the students. They help students to take their future decisions.

Life of students at Goenka college.

Placements: The placements are very good, and big companies participate. Almost good number of companies take part and give great courier opportunity to the student say it for B.Com as well as M.Com student everyone given equal opportunity and chances to prove them.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay which is worth the fees charged from the students. It has separate floors for each course and each year it also provides lift facilities for the students as well as a teacher but some need more modern amenities for teaching purpose.

Faculty: The faculty is no doubt good every teacher pays full attention and guide every student personally. There is a good number of well-experienced teachers and professors who will guide you in any problems we face through our academics, and solve them.

Other: Faculty members are excellent. Classes are interactive. It is one of the top colleges in commerce. It is ranked no.1 two years back to back by India Today. You have to attend regular classes. That’s a drawback for those who are doing job and also want to pursue M.Com.
