Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.
Placements: Placements in this college are very good. This college comes under tier-2 college so placements are much decent. The average package is above 5 LPA. The highest package offered in campus recruitment is 26 LPA. Companies like TCS, L&T, and Wipro visit for placements.
Infrastructure: There are 2 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. Facilities in hostels are very impressive. There are Wi-Fi in hostel, game room, library hall, mess room in hostel. In this college, classrooms are very neat and clean. Each department consists of experience faculty, which provides lectures on digital boards.

I am honored to be here.
Placements: 80% of students get placed. Infosys company visit the college for placements. Almost all students get internships and good experience in those works. Students got internships in AICTE, IIT Bombay, Infosys, etc. The maximum package provided for core branch is 8 LPA and minimum package is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Good quality of food is available. It has games room and medical facilities. Rooms are quite good and spacious for 2 people. Furniture provided is of good material with safety guard and warden. Wi-Fi is provided and library room is also available.
Faculty: All faculty members are helpful. They provide notes for everything. Practical, viva and seminars are in good way. College exams are not that tough but not too easy too. The passing criteria is about 15 marks per CT1 and CT2 and 20 marks compulsory in ESE. We should score 40 out of 100 and 20 out of 60 in ESE.
Other: I chose the core branch. Core branch is helpful in every field regarding tech or government placements. Events and fests are run under safe guidance. Many extracurricular activities and sports are conducted.

It has a large campus and a happy college life.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing electrical engineering here. The college is nice. The percentage of placements is above average. Many students from the CS course, well known as core branches are placed in the popular companies. The highest package offered till now is 26 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel of the college is excellent with all basic facilities. The mess food is also good. All the staff members are very caring and very supportive. The hostel fee is very low when compared to other institutes. The fresh as well as tasty food is served in a mess.
Faculty: The college is rich in case of availability of faculty members. All the faculty members are well and highly educated. They are very supportive. It is an autonomous institute, so the academics are designed by the college only. Papers are also checked by the faculty members of their own college.

Reviewing the GCOEA for the best and average.
Placements: I am currently studying in GCOEA in a core branch. My college has a 60% placement rate and students are working in well-developed and well-known companies. The average package ranges from 5 LPA - 8 LPA. The highest package varies between 2 LPA - 14 LPA. Top companies like Tata Consultancy and Reliance Retail have recruited the students. Other companies like Cognizant Technology, Byju's, Aakash, Atlas Copco, Siemens Limited, Crave Infotech, and many more have recruited students from core branches.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, providence of Wi-Fi and other equipment availability is also on surety. Classrooms are good with digital boards in some core labs. Library has lots of books and students can read more than 1200 books. Our campus environment is eco-friendly. Hostel staff is also good, rooms are neatly maintained. But for hostel admission, there are some ranking criteria so one needs to score good. Mess food is also comfort.
Faculty: Faculty members here are highly qualified, with each teacher having more than 30 years of experience, whether in Maths or core subjects or subjects based on language, social environment, and communication skills. Curriculum availability is good enough. Semester exam papers came out to be quite easy and tough as maintaining balance so studying hard is a necessity if we want to increase our graces. Toughness is also maintained to check the cognitive thinking of students. Viva and practical are on alternate basis so make sure to be prepared.
Other: Regarding fests and events, there are different clubs we can join and participate in. Drama, singing, dancing, sits, sahityas, and more clubs are there for events. Also, educational seminars and events have been well organised.

Student view of the GCOEA .
Placements: For placement, students have to maintain a minimum 7.5 CGPA. There are various companies that visit the college for placement, such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The last year’s minimum package was 4 lakhs per annum and the highest package was 14 lakhs per annum. The college is an autonomous institute, so from last year, the college has adopted the New Education Policy (NEP). Because of this, each and every student has to complete a 6-month compulsory internship in the 7th semester.
Infrastructure: The entire college campus has full Wi-Fi connectivity. The library has thousands of books which are easy to access for the students. Each and every classroom has a digital board. The hostel is affordable, but the only problem is that only one boys' hostel is open, so boys have only 2 years of hostel accommodation, while girls have 4 years of hostel accommodation. The college is quite old, which is why construction work has started, and some departments are not available.
Faculty: Each and every faculty member is highly qualified and experienced. Faculty members are comparatively approachable. There are 2 exams to qualify: the mid-semester examination (MSE) and the end-semester examination (ESE). These are somewhat difficult to pass. To pass, you have to get 40 marks out of 100, and ESE has a separate passing criterion of 20 marks.
Other: The college conducts both a cultural festival and a technical festival. The cultural festival is known as Zenith, and the technical festival is known as Prajwalan. Prajwalan is known as central India's biggest technical festival. College students run some clubs, one of which is the Robo Teach Forum, which is one of the strongest teams in DD ROBOCON.

Students also asked

Q:   Is Government College of Engineering Amravati Tier 1 or Tier 2?
A:

Government College of Engineering Amravati is considered an elite class II government engineering college with a great reputation across the state, especially in Maharashtra. Though they have not gained the same status of national recognition that Tier 1 institutions like IITs or NITs enjoy, such institutes remain good places of learning with decent placement records for all sorts of engineering disciplines.

Facilities, teaching expertise, and government support also adorn the college. Still, it cannot win a Top Engineering Colleges of India rank for itself typically, but that certainly gets it into Tier 2.
