The best college for studies.

Placements: About 70 to 80 percent of students get placed in my course. The highest package is about 15 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Nvidia, etc. Around 30 to 40 percent of students get internships from the college in companies like TCS.

Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in the college, such as Wi-Fi and water coolers. The library is available and is air-conditioned. Classrooms are equipped with instruments like smart boards, projectors, and air conditioning. The mess in the college hostel provides good quality food. A canteen is also available in the college. Sports facilities are not good in the college.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated. Faculty members are helpful to students. If students have any kind of problem, they can ask faculty members, and they guide them very well. The teaching quality of the faculty is good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate level and not very tough. The passing percentage is 40 percent.

Other: This is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra. The guidance of teachers is very good, and they are supportive. For extracurricular activities, you can join different clubs like Robo Tech Forum, BAJA, dance club, music club, e-cell club, etc.

The placement ratio is good.

Placements: I am pursuing a B. Tech second year in computer science and engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Amravati. The highest package offered to the 2024 pass out batch is around 27 LPA by Nvidia and the average package is between 5-6 LPA. In our college, the placement ratio for the CS and IT branches is good. Almost 80-90 percent of students get placed in companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is currently developing. There is a building that includes computer science and engineering, along with the Information Technology and Instrumentation branch. Overall, the infrastructure is moderate, and some buildings are under construction.

Faculty: As our college is autonomous, it is easier to pass exams. The new education policy, which is being implemented for our 2023 batch, is also easier and more interesting than the previous course. The new education policy includes not only subjects related to the branch but also incorporates extracurricular activities.

Government college of engineering, Amravati, and autonomous institute of government of Maharashtra.

Placements: In this college, there are good placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant visit for campus recruitment. Average package is good i.e. 10 LPA. Last time, the highest package was 26 LPA. College is tier-2 type. Many faculty members help students for campus purpose.

Infrastructure: There are 2 hostels for girls and also 2 hostels for boys. Hostel environment is very good. Our hostel mess and rooms are very good and clean. Our computer science department has very good faculty members. Digital computers are available in this college. Classrooms are very neat and clean.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly educated. Teachers create good and positive environment. Our college is autonomous and course curriculum is highly moderate. Exams are very high level and create good environment in exams. Teachers check papers very strictly.

One of the best autonomous engineering colleges in Maharashtra and India.

Placements: The maximum number of students get placed are from branches like CS, IT, Mechanical, Civil, and Instrumentation. The highest package offered is approximately 25 LPA, and the average package is 5-6 LPA. In the Information Technology (IT) sector and core, means all old branches, placements are very much good.

Infrastructure: Each department consists of Wi-Fi, computer labs, various labs, digital classrooms, and a library. Hostel is available for 2 years, and the mess is cooperative basis, which is approximately Rs. 2,000 per month.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Course contains the latest NEP (National Education Policy) pattern, which makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are above average and difficult, but maximum students pass the exams. A new minor branches are implemented.

Other: College has sports events and tech fest every year.

My experience at Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: Placement scenario of GCOEA is average and tech branches such as CSE and I.T. Placement is good and out of 70 students in computer science branch minimum of 50-55 students got on-campus placed. Due to increase in competition the average packages become low. Last year, the report said the minimum package was 3 LPA-3.5 LPA and the maximum package went up to 25 LPA by Nvidia. Companies visit GCOEA are Reliance Jio, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Nvidia, and others.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good. Infrastructure is very outdated. Classrooms are not proper and no labs are property. Library is not also good but it has lots of books with dust. If anyone wants the best or good infrastructure of college then this is not the proper college. Hostel are decent and good. Hostel has good rooms with facilities like fans, beds, tables, chairs, water cooler, Wi-Fi, and hostel library. I don't have any complaints from hostel. Hostel is available inside the college campus.

Faculty: Teachers are good in this college except 1-2 teachers are very supportive but in some Teachers are very rude to talk. Teaching are good but without online paper can't be pass. Curriculum are designed in best way After nep 2020 the curriculum it become good. The college semester exam are medium to difficult. Only in particular subject such as Chemistry and Maths students face problem for passing. The pass percentage is depends on the subject and the paper difficult but approximately percentage is 70-80 percentage students get pass.

Other: I'm from the Computer Science and Engineering branch. This is the best branch in GCOEA because most students get packages from CSE and branches compared to other non-tech branches. I chose this college because of my financial situation. This college is nearer to my hometown and also the reason. Events at GCOEA are mainly Zenith (cultural fest), KCT (sports-related), and Prajwalan (technical fest). The surrounding students are very good and they have many capabilities and talents. They are very supportive.

The Journey through the GCOE, Amravati.

Placements: This is a tier 2 college, the average package one can expect after graduation is 5.5 to 7 LPA. Placement rate is up to 70% as other students opt for Masters and Entrance Exam. The cost of living and fees is quite affordable, so it’s a good college for Vidarbha students.

Infrastructure: The college was established in 1960. With time, the infrastructure has become old, and some buildings are declared dangerous. Some new departments have been started to be built, but it will take half a decade to be in use. There is a central library facility and computer labs for students.

Faculty: The syllabus is quite hard. Autonomy comes with its own rules, like separate passing and no grace marking, which makes it quite difficult for students to focus on extracurricular activities rather than the traditional pattern. The new education policy has been implemented, but it’s a new trial.

Other: You will find your colleagues from Washim, Nagpur, Wardha, Akola, Bhusawal, Buldhana. All from nearby towns and districts. Brilliant students with low economic support choose the college as an option to metro cities.

Towards developing ourselves.

Placements: About 80–90 percent of students get placed. The highest package till now is about 17+ Lacs, the lowest is about 3 lacs, and average is 5 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro, L&T, Infosys, McDonald's, etc. 30 percent of students got internship at companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and libraries are good and the overall infrastructure is okay. Excellent hostel and mess facilities were provided, including most of the sports and games. Various sports, such as badminton, cricket and football, are also included.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is not so good but okay. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for jobs and the skills they require. Semester exams are not so hard and are average. The pass percentage is 40 marks out of 100 and 20 marks separate passing for the end-of-semester.

Other: Good placement in this course. I would like to improve the application part involved and also the teacher-student bonding should be improved. Technical and cultural events are named Prajwalan and Zenith. Scholarship are also provided by the alumni association.

It provides good faculty members, they are always helpful and guide students.

Placements: Around 60% of students are placed along with 15% at the best package. Cognizant, Samsung, Infosys, and TCS are the top recruiting companies. The highest salary pacakge offered is 16 LPA, whereas the average salary pacakge offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The lowest salary pacakge offered varies between 5 LPA - 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good but from outside infrastructure seemed a bit weak. Although all the instruments are in working condition along with proper maintenance. Hostel infrastructure is good. Rooms are clean and have a fresh environment. The mess is average.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good at teaching. Many subjects from the course curriculum did not feel useful but other subjects are very important. Semester exams are tough for college but if students are prepared, it might be a piece of cake. It makes students industry-ready.
