B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry) - Batch of 2020

It is an above-average government engineering college.
Placements: Placements for mechanical engineering students are not good here. However, textile students and CSE students get placed in good companies. Electrical students also have decent placements.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is good. Hostel facilities are available for boys. Girls' hostel is under construction, and it might take a few years to get completed. However, girls can get 3rd party hostel at decent charges. Messes are also available in Berhampore. I had a good experience. There is a canteen facility in the college, and canteen staff members are very good.
Faculty: Teachers of the mechanical department are down-to-earth and experienced. But electrical faculty members are very strict. However, CSE teachers are good. The textile department has many teachers who are also researchers. Office staff members are a bit rude to interact. Overall, teachers are good in our college. Overall, I had a good experience.

It has a really good infrastructure, but only textile students get good placements.
Placements: Only textile students had good placements in our college. However, most of the CSE students got placed, but there are only a few placements for electrical and mechanical students. Roles offered here are management roles, engineers, plant managers, etc. Overall, it is a good college for students who are interested in textile and CSE.
Infrastructure: There is a very good infrastructure in our college. Classrooms are clean and equipped with enough materials to provide quality teaching.
Faculty: Faculty members are good here. Especially in the mechanical branch, all the teachers are down to earth. I had a very good experience with all the teachers in our college.
