A good college and a very good course.

Placements: About 60–70% of the students will be placed. I heard, but I cannot be exact; my batch is the first batch of our college, so I have no idea, but from some sources I heard that at minimum we get at least INR 3 lacs in packages and max up to INR 9 lacs from top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Contrivier, etc. Almost 100% of students got internships in construction.

Infrastructure: In college, there is a good and large computer lab with every facility. The library is also there. Physics labs, Chemistry labs, AutoCAD labs, internet labs, mechanical-based labs, and many more are available. Hostels have good facilities. Electricity, water facilities, playground games—everything is available. The food quality in the mess is good, and medical facilities are good, but canteens are not available, but in the future we can expect them.

Faculty: Yes, teachers and lecturers are very helpful, and all are highly qualified. The exam question paper is from VTU, and the passing percentage is 50–60% in the 3rd semester. Semester exams are not at all difficult; anyone can easily pass them. This course doesn't make the students industry-ready; they have to learn more knowledge from other sources as well.

Other: I chose this course because the future will be ruled by AI, which will have good scope in the future when our college celebrates cultural fests, ethnic days, etc.

Good infrastructure and environment, moderately satisfied with faculty members.

Placements: The 2025 batch is the first batch for GEC Challakere. We were around 60 students, among 60, around 10 students got selected in the campus interview. The highest package was 10 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. The top recruiters were from a non-IT department. Most of our students were selected for free internships at companies like Q-Spiders, Tap Academy, X-Work, Kodnest, and Global Quest. The roles for the internship were Python developer, Java software developer, and tester.

Infrastructure: There is a nature-friendly environment, with a good number of classrooms. Wi-Fi is not provided for the students. Hostel food is average. Good improvements are seen in sports. A new canteen is introduced, which might improve. Labs are good with the required facilities.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are knowledgeable, and a few are not that good. The college could have better students. Industry-ready is not up to the expectations. Clearing semesters is not that difficult. The pass percentage is nevertheless 65% for the first batch.

Other: As AIML is a booming technology, I chose to opt for this course. But we never had hands-on experience or industry-level training for this course. They could improve on VTU syllabus for the 21st batch. Events are very less when compared to other colleges, extracurricular activities were rare, but these are getting improved by clubs made by students.
