My Journey Through GCOEY.

Placements: Around 5% of students were placed in my course. The lowest package offered was 215,000 to 300,000. HSM Edifice and Tata Consultancy were the top recruiting companies. 100% of students were made to do internships in the last semester as part of the curriculum. Every student got their internships from government organizations.

Infrastructure: The worst infrastructure with no facilities provided as mentioned on the college site. No cleanliness, no hygiene, no drinking water facility. No Wi-Fi facility, and classrooms had no fans or lights. Although the library was quite equipped with lots of books. The hostel was under renovation. Students from my batch didn't get the hostel facility as it was under construction.

Faculty: The teachers weren't helpful. Only a handful of teachers were good, others were so annoying. Teaching quality was not up to the mark. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant and it does make the students industry-ready. The university exams were so difficult to pass. 37 marks were needed to pass a particular subject (20 from practical and the rest from the theory exam).

Other: I chose this course because of my liking. I had an interest in civil engineering and was dedicated to studying in this stream. The best thing about this course is there are no limits to my imagination and creativity plus this course has a never-ending scope. No events or fests were held by the college. No extracurricular activities were encouraged by the staff.

Government College of Engineering, Yavatmal (Computer Engineering).

Placements: Placement is below average; there is no placement we can say for now. I am from the CS branch, and my seniors have not been placed till now. Companies like TCS, TCE, Adani, and L&T do visit our college. The average package offered is around 4.5 lacs. Internships may be available from private companies that have ties to our college, for which we have to pay them. Overall placement is not available until college develops.

Infrastructure: Labs are available, but PCs need maintenance. Classrooms are average. Internet facilities are available. The reading room is in college, but books are not available according to our curriculum in the library. Hostels for boys and girls are available at very basic prices, and a mess is also available, but for now only for girls. The boys hostel was recently renovated, so it is in good condition. A small canteen is there for college students. Sports is organized almost every day, leaving my favorite basketball.

Faculty: Contact-based faculty is in the CS branch. Faculty is helpful sometimes. There is no experienced faculty. The curriculum of the course is almost good. We have updated the syllabus. Exams are not that hard; we study regularly on our own. Do not depend on college. Exams are conducted at the same college.

Review of Government College Engineering, Yavatmal.

Placements: Placements provided in our college are not good because it is a new college. Around 20% of students get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. Many companies visit our college to offer campus drives such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Adani, Saffron, etc. Around 2% of students get internships in our college. The role offered in our course is an electrician.

Infrastructure: Environment of our college is good but the infrastructure is not well. Building is very old. Wi-Fi facility is available in our college. Labs are available but not well maintained. Classrooms are not clean. It has a very good library. Boys' hostel is under construction, girls' hostel is very good. Hostel mess food is very good. The canteen is available. Medical facilities are not available. All the sports are held on the college ground.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are more but some old teachers are helpful, well qualified, and educated. Students can extract knowledge from teachers. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is not relevant and students are not made ready for industrial jobs. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass marks are 40 out of 100.

Other: I joined this college with CET marks. I chose this course because it is good and has demand in the future. Our college should provide more practical knowledge. All the events and fests are organised in our college. Campus crowd is not huge and connectivity is good. Campus surroundings are very silent and natural. Scholarships are provided in our college for all category students. Less extracurricular activities are held in our college.

The college environment is great but some teachers and the infrastructure are not good.

Placements: About 35% of students were placed in our college. The highest salary package offered in our college is 6 LPA. The lowest average package offered in our college is 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Tech Mahindra, TCS, ACC, and HCL. About 35% of students got internships from our college.

Infrastructure: There are no facilities. We only have a well-stocked library. The infrastructure of the college and hostel is not good and clean. Mimumax 4 students can live in a hostel room. The conditions in girls' and boys' hostels are not good. Food is good in the hostel mess.

Faculty: Because this college was new, teachers were inexperienced. Some teachers are good and permanent, while others are not. The teaching is not very good. Exams are quite difficult. About 90% of students pass.

Other: Because it is a government college, the college environment is the best. We need the best teachers and good infrastructure. We celebrate all festival events in our college very well.

Review of Government Engineering College

Placements: As it is a new B. Tech. engineering college, placements are provided here, but not many opportunities are provided here. But the faculty tries to get more placements for the students for their bright future. Students also go to online campuses for better placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: Previously it was the old Polytechnic college and later it became an engineering college, so the infrastructure is not that satisfactory. Proper practical labs are not available here for conducting practicals. In labs, there is no apparatus for performing practicals, so I would give only 2 stars.

Faculty: If we talk about faculty members, there is no worry about faculty. Both experienced and new staff are available here. Classes are conducted with regular teaching. The college is too good if compared with its infrastructure. The staff help the students in solving problems and queries.

Other: The college staff is good but the infrastructure is not that satisfactory.
