Besides these 9 centres, NTA also organises the exam in 2 centres of Gurugram and Noida each. Candidates can check the exam city allotted to them using JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip. The link for downloading the exam city slip of JEE Mains is available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

As per many experts, JEE Main 2026 exam held in session 1 was the toughest in recent history.

Chemistry was the easiest subject and NCERT based. It was lengthy and tricky this year.

Maths was the toughest, and physics was also moderate to tough. Overall paper was lengthy, and candidates found it difficult to manage time and complete paper on time.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Always visit exam centres of JEE Main one day in advance of the schedule of exam.
  • Candidates cannot change their exam centres after downloading the admit card.
  • Aspirants will not be allowed to carry a pencil/pen to the examination hall.
  • Diabetic candidates will be allowed to bring their eatables such as fruits, sugar tablets and a transparent bottle to the examination hall. No packaged food will be permitted.
  • Leaving the examination hall before the end of the exam is not allowed
  • Candidates are not allowed to wear a wristwatch inside the JEE Main 2026 exam centre.
