B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.2
It is an old and trusted college with a friendly environment and knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: 34 percent of students got placed in my course in multinational companies. In the last year, the highest package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. Some students go into entrepreneurship like they are doing an MBA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Microsoft and Amazon. 50-60 percent of students got internships from our course. Roles like design engineer, production engineer, and product engineer are offered here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, but fans are too old in the mechanical department. Wi-Fi speed is excellent and better in the library. Labs are old but nice for very interesting experiments. The canteen food is average. The hostel is good. Medical facilities are excellent, but only 3 days a week.
Faculty: Teaching quality is mind-blowing. Teachers are strict, but very helpful and kind. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready, so students do not face any problem in the industry by studying in a disciplined way. College exams are difficult but possible to pass. The pass percentage is 40 percent in external and 60 percent in internal exams.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in robotics, chipsets, and AI. It should make the syllabus by seeing trends in industries and innovations in the new year. It conducts many activities. Scholarships are also very good. Extracurricular activities are very interesting.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is the best college.
Placements: According to me, there were almost 2500 students in the passing batch. I am currently pursuing a degree in IT. The highest package offered to the passed-out student was Rs. 5,20,000. Demand to expert in my field is very high in cities like Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore, and Pune.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of facilities that our college has offered to us. They have provided us with Wi-Fi passwords and IDs, using which I can get knowledge related to my field online. In the hostel, there is a facility for hot water for bathing and drinking. The structure of the mess is also good.
Faculty: In my current semester, I am studying subjects like data structure, computer architecture, operating systems, database management system and object-oriented programming. Faculty, HOD Dr. Ks Maan, DR. Jaswinder Singh, DR. Randeep Kaur. In my semester, I have to give exams three times.
Other: Our college provides various types of scholarships based on the categories of a person.

Good college with good placements.
Placements: About 70 percent of students are placed from my batch with top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. The lowest package is about 3–4 LPA, and the highest is 13 LPA. Top roles offered include software developer, data analyst, testing engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and well maintained. All facilities are available like Wi-Fi, library, projectors, etc. Classrooms are spacious with proper seating, well maintained, and properly ventilated. The library has a good collection of books, and computer labs are well-equipped.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most faculty members explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts both during and after classes. The teaching is very good and focuses on building strong fundamental concepts.
Other: I chose this college because it is one of the oldest and best engineering colleges in North India.

Recruitments are just fine but they don't let you sit in another campus, if you get placed once, therefore no backup plans, But some of the companies are great.

Our college is best, but some minor adjustments need to be done to make it more efficient.
Placements: 70 percent of students are placed in our computer course. The lowest package is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 23 LPA. Companies recruiting in our course include Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini, Wipro, and Amazon. Around 83 percent of students are confirmed with internships in our college at Genboot Private Limited, Nebero Private Limited, and Infosys. Top roles include HR, executive, software handling, and tester.
Infrastructure: All the facilities provided by our college are fine. They have provided us with various buildings, classrooms, benches, computers, labs, canteen, sports complex, dispensary, Wi-Fi, hostels, mess, tuck shop, and all games. In hostels, they have good facilities like proper mess food, good hostel rooms with furniture, fans, beds, almirahs, and all necessary medical and sports/game facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and have much more knowledge about the course. They teach us with their best effort. The course curriculum is relevant and makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are quite tough, but we pass them with our knowledge.
Other: I chose this course as I already did a diploma in the same field and wanted to pursue this as my full-time career to become an aspiring software engineer. They should add digital assignments rather than handwritten ones. They organize various events on campus, some technical and some non-technical, like Tech Fest, Digital Fair, Utsav, blood donation camps, etc.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College review.
Placements: Most of the students are placed in my course. The highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest package is 1 LPA. Most students go for off-campus placements instead of on-campus because the college offers much lower packages. Regarding internships, students do paid internships because the college provides only theoretical knowledge.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi quality is not good. The infrastructure is very old. The library of our department is good, but it is often closed. The hostel building is also very old. Nowadays, there are more students, and the hostel space is small. Instead of building a new hostel, they are shifting 4 students into a single room.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are alumni. Students need to get 40 percent marks to pass. The difficulty level of exams is easy to medium. In the first year, all exams are based on assignments and questions given in class, but in the second year, papers do not come from assignments.
Other: Someone recommended me to go into this field. Practical sessions should be increased instead of focusing only on theory.

I am absolutely satisfied with GNDEC, and I recommend it to students.
Placements: In the CSE branch, the highest package has gone up to 51 LPA in Microsoft. Recruitments are from different companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Accenture, Walmart, TCS, Amazon, PhonePe, Samsung, Cognizant, Argusoft, Josh Technology Group, Airtel, and many more.
Infrastructure: The department is well-equipped to support both theoretical and practical learning. Key facilities include good-speed Wi-Fi and internet, well-equipped labs with computer systems, and a college and departmental library with a wide collection of books and all the required study material.
Faculty: To be honest, the teachers have a fair knowledge of the subject and are able to deliver the lessons properly. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is relevant too. Important subjects like Data Structures make the students industry-ready.

Good college with supportive faculty and fair exams.
Placements: I am studying B.Tech CSE at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, and this is my honest review of placements. The college provides decent placement opportunities, especially for CSE students. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and some startups visit every year. The training and placement cell conducts aptitude classes, mock interviews, and coding sessions, which help during the placement drive. Students who focus on skills like DSA, programming, and communication usually secure good offers. The average package is reasonable for freshers, and a few students get higher packages based on their performance. Overall, placements are good if students stay consistent and prepare well.
Infrastructure: I am studying B.Tech CSE at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, and this is my honest review. The college provides a good learning environment with experienced and supportive faculty. Classrooms are clean, labs are well-equipped, and the library is peaceful with a good collection of books. Campus Wi-Fi works fine, and the atmosphere is safe. Hostel facilities are decent. Rooms are comfortable, and security is strict. Mess food is average but manageable, and cleanliness is maintained regularly. Overall, GNDEC offers a supportive academic environment and a satisfactory hostel experience for students who stay focused on their studies.
Faculty: The faculty at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana is knowledgeable and supportive, especially in core engineering subjects. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts. The curriculum is well-structured, covering important technical subjects along with practical labs, though some parts still feel theory-heavy and could include more industry-oriented topics. The exam pattern is fair, with internal assessment, assignments, and end-semester exams. If students attend classes and prepare regularly, scoring well is manageable. Overall, the faculty, curriculum, and exam system provide a solid foundation for engineering students at GNDEC.
