I am dissatisfied with the curriculum and placements of our college.

Placements: Placements in our college are very poor in spite of poor training and placement cell. Companies related to civil engineering are not much interested in approaching students of GNDEC. The concerning authority is making it better to provide placements for students.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi for labs, library and classrooms are well-executed, and there is also a cafeteria. The infrastructure of our classrooms is not satisfactory. Food available in the canteen and mess is neutral, i.e., neither too good nor that bad. Sports and games are neither promoted nor our college has the resources.

Faculty: Teachers who have experience are good at teaching, but the new joining teachers are not that capable of execution of knowledge in the existing curriculum. The course curriculum is not that good and also not enough to serve the industry just after the completion of the course.

Other: The campus is always crowded. Fests are executed at regular intervals. Every year there is an annual sports meet, and other programs are also organised.

It is one of the best colleges in North India for civil engineering.

Placements: Very few people get placed here as the previous year, not even 100 students in civil branch got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 33,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 19,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Infosys, Accenture, Shapoorji Pallonji, Thermax Limited, are the top recruiters. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2.3 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 3 LPA. Students didn't apply for an internship.

Infrastructure: It's a government college having the latest equipment in the lab. Recently got a UGC certificate and the library has various books and subscription to the latest magazines and journals. Older hostels are not well maintained, but the new boys' hostel is equipped with attached washroom, and 4 students share the same room. The college has a hospital in the college, and it is maintained properly. The college is known for its sports activities as it has its own cricket, hockey, and a basketball court.

Faculty: All the teachers here are M.Tech qualified and has sound knowledge of the subject. They are pursuing a PhD as a part-time from the college. They basically communicate in the local language, i.e., Punjabi. The college has its own workshop to polish the student's skills for the future.

Other: I have chosen this course as civil engineering is one of the best fields in GNDEC as it has great professors. The college is doing great, and it does not require any such improvement. The college organises various inter and intra-college events.
