Other: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is the best college for learning. It is good for seeking knowledge and exploring your talent. I study in CS and we have the best renowned and dedicated faculty. The whole curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to students for them to choose among interdisciplinary subjects as per one’s personal interests and choices. It has a huge 550 acres of green campus and has two lakes and hills. There is a wide range of forest area surrounding the campus. The campus provides an awesome range of facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness, at par with the best in the world, for a meagre fee as the institute is government run.

It's a good college but the campus is small and there is not much to see here.

Placements: The placements are really good and companies like Infosys, Saint-Gobain, TCS, Vardhman, Trident and much more visit the college and select students from all branches. Most students from Punjab wanted to study at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College because of its very good reputation and campus placement opportunities. The placement record of the college is quite good, but during my college passing year, there were no visiting companies for the mechanical branch.

Infrastructure: For the first year, the hostel is good where you get an attached bathroom and toilet but in 2nd year and further years, you get common toilets and bathrooms. You will get free and unlimited Wi-Fi and the speed is very good. Also, in the first year, you will get a Wi-Fi modem on each floor. You would experience a speed of 15 to 30 MBps. The food in the first year is decent but for other batches, hostel food is much better. The canteens are not operational 24x7 and they get closed in the evening. Medical facilities are okay. The sports facilities are good for basketball, cricket, gym, volleyball, and football.

Faculty: The marking in exams is very poor, but the rest of the studies are good. Some teachers make the effort while the rest of them are on the loose end. Some teachers are having PhDs and have vast knowledge regarding the subject. In the first-year curriculum is adequate, but some subjects, such as economics, include unnecessary content.

My college is the best college in all colleges.

Placements: Placements are great, if you compare it with any other Tier 2 college, IMT Ghaziabad has the best placements. Companies from all sectors come for hiring. The profile which is offered is most of the times of Middle-level management. Top companies such as ICICI, HDFC, Credit Suisse, Emami, HUL etc., visit for placements as well as summer internships too. The average package is close to Rs 15 LPA and the highest can go up to Rs 40 LPA.

Infrastructure: Separate hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls on the college campus. It has adequate high security and good discipline. Each room has an attached bathroom. The students who are not staying with the parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules. The canteen of the college provides food in the hostel also.

Faculty: Several studies have found a positive effect of experience on teacher effectiveness. The faculty members are good here.

Other: I am interested in computers and hence, chose this course.
