B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2025

Absolutely good college and you will definitely like it here.
Placements: This course is available only in this college, and very good placement is there, like my senior got an INR 8 lakh package. And many big companies are offering you opportunities, like all biotech-related companies, because it is one of the most prestigious colleges in the world.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very clean, and the silence allows you to concentrate on your studies. Mess is very good. The library is very peaceful, you can read the book you want, every type of book is available related to your courses, and novels are there to refresh your mind.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. All teachers are experts in their subjects. There were no issues of torture. 8 semesters are there and respective exams. Exams are very tough, but it depends on you and how you study. Teachers are awesome if you take help from them, which they do with all of their efforts.

It is a good college but has been over shun by the new college students you should give it a chance.
Placements: The placement is not too good for the biotech students. It depends upon the students' hard work and sincerity towards the course. Though every consecutive years we are having top rankers in GATE and the 2021 gold medalist AIR 1 Indrameet sir was also from our college.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped with all the instruments and a lab assistant to train us. The classrooms are also spacious and airy with comfortable seats. They also have projector classes. Being a day scholar, I cannot tell about the hostel. There is a dispensary with all basic aids. The canteen is small though clean and hygienic with reasonable prices. Good sports are played in our college like cricket, basketball, badminton, and many more.
Faculty: The staff members of our college are too good with a jolly and helpful nature. They are also good at their jobs mostly having a doctorate degree and are too concerned for all their students. They frequently keep conducting exams which prepares us for the main exam and is a good way of revising. Out of 100, you need to score 30 marks.
Other: Being a bio student, the last option left for me is B.Tech Biotech but I am seriously not regretting my decision because it keeps me rooted in my subject and provides good knowledge. Events keep taking place every week. The event has not yet taken place. It is an anti-ragging campus and the seniors are helpful. They provide good scholarships on the basis of merit and an extra one to girls.

Average college but with good faculty.
Placements: Companies are mostly offering marketing and sales jobs in the Biotechnology branch. No companies are related to Biotechnology, but yes you can assure you will get placement for sure but don't expect that you will get a core job related to the field of Biotechnology. Just okay type placements.
Infrastructure: Simple infrastructure and there are different buildings for different departments. Bit old but okayish maintained. There is an auditorium for the functions. But the campus is safe and good for girls. There is a good library with good books. Good lab for the biotechnology branch.
Faculty: Biotechnology department teachers are very helpful with everything. They are well qualified and really helpful. They are good with syllabus coverage, will guide your plans and will always be supportive of you. Very friendly staff. Loved it.

I am satisfied because of the faculty members.
Placements: Roles offered in our college as a food inspector, placed in marketing companies. Our college has a good scope and many good companies like Nestle, Amul, Dabur, etc. If you are good in your studies, you will get off-campus placements too. Other roles offered in our college are in the research department in subjects like bioinformatics and microbiology.
Infrastructure: The quality of the food served is average, and the medical facilities are good. At the same time, sports and games are average. The infrastructure is not that good as it is the oldest college in the city. But the overall quality is good enough. The canteen is in a good state, and the environment is good too.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and guide you in every possible way. They are knowledgeable and work hard every day so that we can succeed. The curriculum is good enough, and we can easily get through the semester. Faculty members guide and help us in many subjects.
Other: Events held on campus are good.

Not really recommended for upcoming students.
Placements: Students from biotechnology usually get placed in BPO companies. The starting packages were from 1.5 LPA. Although many students bagged higher packages (max. 12 LPA in Edu-tech companies like Jaro, Topscholars etc.). Students have their summer training in various research labs and also in the food industry.
Infrastructure: There are labs for each subject with the latest equipments from top manufacturers. The classrooms are spacious with projectors. The campus is big with library, canteen and medical facilities. NCC Camp is also there. Hostels are available for both boys and girls and the mess provides average quality food.
Faculty: The teachers in biotechnology department are well qualified with Ph.D. or Masters) degree. The course curriculum is according to Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. For biotechnology branch, the syllabus is well updated and very close to that of Central universities.
Other: Events are organized from time to time. College fest is also there. The college is located on NH-2. Students from both Agra and Mathura take admission here. Also, there are students from all over Uttar Pradesh.

4 years are worth giving here.
Placements: Placements were good enough in my branch. It has been near about 100% placement from the last 3-4 years. Even in other branches too, placement is fairly satisfactory. I was also placed in the marketing sector of two core companies. The training and development department organised weekly 2 hour classes to make us ready and groom our personality according to the companies need. They helped us throughout the 4 years and the placement drive started as soon as we entered in our final year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine. But the labs of our department are neat and clean and the equipment and machines we use are very rare to find in other institutions. The book bank and notes are provided timely. Extra activities are always going around the campus and student actively take part in them.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified in my department. They are strict and punctual towards the lectures. They provide the best amount of notes to us and teach us in the easiest and most interactive way so that the students can grasp more knowledge. Assignments and tests are conducted each month and are evaluated too. The marks obtained are added in the result.

No placement in core in biotechnology. Faculty is good.
Placements: The placements are not good at all, especially for biotechnology. Other branches still have placements in good companies. Marketing and BPOs are invited just to show 100%placement in the newspaper. The real scenario is pretty different. This year TCS was not called for an unknown reason but some of my capable friends got placed in TCS through off-campus placement. The previous year scenario was also the same.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the labs. Final year students can also get a Wi-Fi connection for their personal laptops. The library is very good, spacious and has a large collection of books. Medical facilities are average. The labs are also good.
Faculty: The faculty of biotech dept. is good, supportive and knowledgeable. They provide proper notes. They are always ready to guide and help. Some of the faculty members use powerpoint slides to teach. Faculty members from outside are also invited for guest lectures. I did not find the curriculum useful as we have a little knowledge about many fields but not in-depth knowledge of any field.

Good teaching system, average infrastructure, faculty are good and helpful, and placements are good.
Placements: I must say that the placements in college are 100%, especially for the biotechnology students. But the major drawback is that no core company will hire a fresher who studied B.Tech in biotech, so students have to go for marketing or sales companies or GI for higher studies. The last batch got 100% placements depending on their calibre, and some of them are doing well even in the marketing companies with attractive salary packages. The faculty members help a lot in assigning internships for students at different industries, but they are unpaid training sessions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. The labs are well-equipped, a playground is available. The classrooms are fine, and Wi-Fi access is available for final year students for the project work. A dispensary is available along with an ambulance. The environment in college is not excellent, but it is fine for a survivor. The attendance is a major factor, so the classes are compulsory to get into the finals. The canteen is also fine and not excellent. The hostel rooms are pretty expensive, and a bus facility is also available. Overall, the environment is good.
Faculty: The faculty members are excellent, unbiased, and honest. They have good industrial exposure and are academically sound. The chalk and board method is used by many of the teachers, but some of them also use the PPT method as well. Proper notes are provided on time for students. There is one faculty member for 30-50 students, and it is the common ratio here. The course curriculum was useful.
Other: Personality development classes are a great initiative for students to learn and improve soft skills. The college fest gives an opportunity for students to show their creativity. There is a feedback system before the end of every semester. Workshops and training sessions are organised every year in different departments, and seminars and guest lectures are also conducted quite frequently.
