Review of Hooghly Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed in our course. The total fee is Rs. 600 for all courses. Companies like Berger, Philips, Tata, etc., visit our college, and many local companies also hire students depending on their performance. None of the students got internships. Autocad learning is offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Students are not allowed to access Wi-Fi. Our course has two labs of machines and electrical, and four workshops for forging, carpentry, electrical, welding, etc. Classrooms are much sufficient for 70 students. Huge stock of books is available in our library, and we are allowed to collect 3 books per semester. Hostels are not that good. In the mess, food quality is better and is served twice a day. There is no canteen in our college. We can collect medicine from our staff room if required. In our college playground, we play football, cricket, etc. In our common room, we have table tennis, carrom, etc.
Faculty: All teachers behave well and are helpful to the students. All teachers have good knowledge and experience, which is helpful for students' careers. The course does not make students industry-ready because machines' availability is not sufficient in the labs. Semester examinations are easy, and 99% of the students easily pass every year.
Other: I have chosen this course because mechanical engineering is a beginning trade and valuable for industries. The best thing about our course is learning about CAD software. I wish the college to provide more machines in the labs. Many events are organised in our college like Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja, Teachers day, department wise freshers, annual freshers, alumni, etc. All government and non-government scholarships are allowed to apply for students.

A reliable college provides peace of mind with a little bit of hard work and study.
Placements: 75% of students got placed, with a package of 2.5 LPA and 3 LPA being the highest salary. Pinnacle, L&T, and Line are some of the companies that hired students from our college. Drafting Engineer and Junior Mechanical Engineer are the posts offered here. Students were interviewed even before the end of the course. The college placement department has made us ready in advance.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are perfect. Labs are available, and in recent times, some new labs were built and old labs were upgraded. Hostel stays are inexpensive, and food quality is also good. The college doesn't have dedicated medical facilities, but medical facilities are easily available around the college area. Arrangements are there for indoor and outdoor games. Annual sports championships were organised on college campuses.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely knowledgeable, and they are very easy to understand and approach. The curriculum is as per government regulations. A syllabus makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are not that tough; over 95% of students passed them. The quality of education is very rich here.
Other: For future opportunities in machine development, I chose the mechanical branch. My course indeed enlightened me regarding the working principles of machines, tools, and production technologies. If there was a more advanced course of training in machine design, mechanical engineers could really step up their game. The surrounding environment is excellent. The college does hold events, fests, and annual gatherings.

One of the best institutes for mechanical engineering
Placements: This is a reputed college for placements. We have a placement cell in our college. Too many companies including core companies like TCS, L&T come here for placements. Teachers are very supportive here and train us in getting a job. They help us to get internships as well.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is of medium standard. This college provides labs for skill gain, free Wi-Fi connection, and classrooms which are okay. A library is also available here for toppers. And a canteen nearby for getting food and tiffin. Also, we are provided with medical facilities and also facilities for sports including a game room.
Faculty: Almost all teachers are good and supportive. They teach us and motivated us to go for higher studies. The teaching quality in our classes was too good. Because of them, I am successfully today. Here, our semesters are held properly. Teachers were too supportive during exam times in case anyone face any problems.
Other: One of the best things about this college was our campus. We used to spend lots of time on our campus. A good-looking, clean, properly maintained campus made our college life amazing. Our college used to be crowded and full of life.
