The college would be pretty good if it had its own campus.
Placements: Placement record 2026 batch. Registered students are 197. Participants in placement are 150, and 135 students are placed. The average CTC is 18 LPA. The highest is 62 LPA (Nugget). The second highest is 56 LPA (Zomato). Placement record 2025 batch. The placement rate was 95 percent. The average was 16 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD, PayPal, etc. The data is slightly different because the college also considers off-campus placements in the brochure. Official placement data is available on the college website and LinkedIn page.
Infrastructure: ACs are available only in a few classrooms, mainly for first-year students. Labs are equipped with good Wi-Fi and ACs. The BHEL Boys Hostel is located 14 km from the college. It is a decent place to live with average food quality. There are no sports facilities provided by the college. However, students get access to MANIT sports facilities during inter-IIIT practice.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified and helpful. The curriculum is very relevant. Most core subjects are completed by the end of the third year. Exams are moderate, but checking is very strict. The college follows relative grading. An 8.5 CGPA is suggested to stay on the safe side.
Other: The college’s own campus is under construction in Ratibad, Bhopal. Until then, the college shares a temporary campus with MANIT Bhopal in the NTB and MPSTEP buildings for first-year students. It is not suggested to roam in MANIT due to the ragging culture, but canteens are accessible. There is no ragging in IIIT Bhopal. NIIMACK is the annual techno-cultural fest, and Sporlumina is the annual inter-branch sports competition. Students can also participate in MANIT fests like Maffick, Technosearch, Tooryanaad, and E-Summit.

Student perspective of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal.
Placements: Placement opportunities at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhopal are steadily improving every year. Since the Cyber Security branch has been recently introduced our batch will be the first batch to graduate so the placement data for this branch is still developing. The overall placement scenario of the institute is good. The average package is offered around 12 LPA-14 LPA in recent years. Several reputable companies such as Amazon, TCS, Adobe, and Rapido visit the campus for recruitment. The placement percentage which I heard from my seniors is generally above 80 percent.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal is still developing as the college does not yet have its own campus. Classes are currently held in the NTB and MPSTEP buildings of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. Hostels are located in BHEL Township, Bhopal, near the NCC ground and are only provided for first-year students. The hostel is below average with some issues like water, electricity shortage, and pests so from the second year most students shift to flats or private accommodation.
Faculty: Faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal are generally qualified and knowledgeable, though teaching quality can vary from professor to professor. Some teachers are very supportive and helpful in clearing doubts. The curriculum is similar to other IITs and focuses on core computer science along with emerging areas like cybersecurity which helps students build industry-relevant skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult and mostly test conceptual understanding. With regular study and assignment completion, passing exams is manageable and most students clear the semester without major difficulty.

Review of Indian Institute of technology of Bhopal.
Placements: From my seniors, I heard that only people with above 8.5 CGPA are allowed to sit in the placements. So recently from the strength of 500 people only 150 were allowed to sit, and out of these 120 were placed. An average package came out to be around 26 LPA. Top companies like amazon and Rapid Nvidia also come to my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very poor. The Internet does not work properly in the college. In the name of the campus, our college has only 2 buildings as the campus is under construction. The names of the buildings are MPT Step and NTB.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is great but for some branches the faculty is not available. In Cybersecurity branch, there is only 1 faculty. There are 3 types of exams held, onle is mini for 10 marks and mid is of 20 marks and end exams are of 60 marks. There is a problem of attendance.

It is a decent college mainly focused on academics.
Placements: Placement states are generally good. Many students got placed here on campus but many students often try to go off-campus. The on-campus average package is about 10 LPA- 15 LPA with the highest going about 85 LPA. Many companies like Amazon, Nvidia, TCS, and Geeks for Geeks come here for placements.
Infrastructure: As of 2025 there is no permanent campus but it is in progress to build a decent campus of IIIT Bhopal. Right now we are using MANIT Bhopal campus and we have hostel facilities for only first year for boys and for girls they provide hostel for 2 years. After that you have to live on your own.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified and knowledgeable but you still have to put in your own efforts to pass the exams and tests. The course curriculum is relevant to the needs of modern society and you can learn many things by following the college course. College provides a relatively grading system here.
Other: IIIT Bhopal is a bit on the more expensive side around 16 lakhs for a one-year course including fests, hotels, mess, and daily needs. As the campus is currently operating from MANIT Bhopal we get to access the MANIT Bhopal central library, sports facilities, and many more. The crowd is good and the college provides a good coding culture. We have many coding-related clubs and cultural activities for extracurricular activities.

The college with mixed reviews.
Placements: The percentage of placements is very good, and last year, 86% of students got placed with an average package of Rs. 1,800,000 and a median of Rs. 1,910,000, with the highest placement of 8.6 LPA. Additionally, 70-80% of students got internships last year with major companies like PayPal, Amazon, Meesho, and Flipkart.
Infrastructure: Hostels are just okay. You can enjoy the hostel, but all hostels are only for 1 year. The Wi-Fi facilities are not good, but the classrooms are very good. We have 4 departments: CSE, ECE, Maths, and Physics. The mess food is not up to the mark sometimes, but sometimes it is delicious.
Faculty: The curriculum is good, but not industry-focused. You have to do coding and academics side by side, and you have to qualify for exams with more than 8.5 CGPA for good placements. The exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy, and the teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

Review of IIIT Bhopal - Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: The top recruiting companies are Amazon, PayPal, and the highest paying company is Atlassian, with the highest package of 85 LPA, and the average package is 17 LPA, with a minimum of 9 LPA. Approximately 85 percent of students got placed in good companies.
Infrastructure: We do not have a good Infrastructure in college. Hostels are taken from BHEL. The college campus is in MANIT, but IIIT is making a new campus of 65 acres. I think it will be completed by 2030, maybe 2027, for JEE Main students with campus and hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty are very good in their own domain of subject. They are good enough to teach all of us, and here the examinations are tougher than those in other colleges in India, like IIT and NIT, and all are industry-oriented. The passing percentage is just 30 marks, that's it. All courses are industry-related
