The Executive MBA programme offered by IIM Jammu is a two-year blended mode programme for working professionals with a  minimum work experience of three years. A: 

Yes, IIM Jammu accepts CAT Scores for admission to Executive MBA Programme. Apart from CAT, IIM Jammu also accepts GMAT/GRE score or IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIMJAT) Score.

IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIM JAT) is the entrance online proctored test conducted by IIM Jammu. The exam pattern of IIM JAT will consist of three sections:

  1. Quantitative Ability (QA)
  2. Verbal Ability (VA)
  3. Logical Reasoning (LR)

 

Q:   How can I take admission at IIM Jammu?
A: 

IIM Jammu admission is based on the CAT exam. Candidates need to visit the official website of CAT to register themselves. For the MBA programme students must qualify CAT exam and meet the IIM Jammu cutoff which is set by the institute. Admission to various courses is based on merit, written tests, personal interviews, and entrance exam scores. For admission to the IPM programme, students need to appear for the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) conducted by NTA.

IIM Jammu review - The best place for holistic development.
Placements: 100% of the students of IPM get a social internship and a corporate internship in reputed companies. Companies such as The Leela, Microsoft, and Shopper Stop have been the prominent recruiters. The highest stipend stood at Rs. 50,000, while the average stood at Rs. 28,000. (Information according to the official placement reports, IPM Batch 2021-26. )
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, and we have a state-of-the-art library with e-library access as well. There's an infirmary on our campus where 24-hour nursing staff is available, and a doctor is available every weekday. We also have our own ambulance and wheelchair. The mess facilities are amazing as well because they are student-run, and our friends and our batch mates are a part of it. So, we are always heard, and it makes an impact.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing here. They are literally prodigies of their own fields and encourage discussions, practical knowledge and research in the classroom as well. Since everything is moving online, we have a filmmaking and photography course. We have an R and Python programming course, we also had an Excel course, a graphic designing course, and a geopolitical environment. And we have two compulsory internships as a part of our curriculum - all this makes sure that we are on par with the industry.

My review about this college.
Placements: The placements are good compared to several other B-schools. Currently, the average package is 23.2 LPA with a 100% placement rate. From semester 3 onwards students become eligible for the placement process. The prominent recruiters include Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance, LG, Relax, Morgan Stanley, Media. Net, Loreal, etc., are the regular recruiting companies. The students get an opportunity to choose the domain according to their interests. The highest package goes to around 18 LPA and the average is 9.5 LPA. I am aspiring to become an entrepreneur and start my venture after getting the degree.
Infrastructure: The course here represented to us is new and also according to today's need for the student to go on further in their future. Individual air-conditioned rooms are allotted to students. The mess menu is managed by the mess committee and covers cuisines of different types. Food quality is very good as compared to what one usually gets in hostels. Almost every facility is there and is well-maintained the hostel has reasonable charges that must be affordable.
Faculty: Numerous faculty members of the college are well-reputed in the industry. Many of them are constantly invited for workshops in the corporate world and they also take part in global discussion forums. Teaching methodology is based on case studies and numerous textbooks that give us a deep understanding of the concepts. Exam days are very hectic as we have 2 exams each day without a break. Exams are of high standard as expected from an IIM. Apart from that usual classes are quite chilled with some hectic days in between with assignments and submissions. All faculty are nice and supportive of us. Practical and live theories, case studies, and also field trips are conducted.

It's a massive and wonderful experience there.
Placements: Over 91% of students are placed in our department. Many are placed in large recruitment agencies. The maximum salary offered will be 25 LPA, and the minimum salary will be 10 LPA. The average salary was around 17 LPA. Many big companies like TCS, Google, Infosys, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Cognizant come to recruit students. Nearly 84% of students received internships in various industries. The top roles offered in my course are marketing manager, financial analyst, and human resources manager, etc.
Infrastructure: My college infrastructure is very wonderful. The course has state-of-the-art infrastructure such as classrooms with Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art laboratories, a well-equipped library, and access to online databases. The rooms have all the necessary facilities. Food is designed to keep you healthy. The college has adequate medical facilities and facilities for sports.
Faculty: The teachers here were very helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching was excellent. The course is perfectly aligned with the curriculum, and it prepares students for the industry to come. The course helped us to adapt and build our confidence. Semester exam hard but passing rate is 87%.

IIM IN PARADISE: Indian Institute of Management, Jammu.
Placements: There is surety of 100% placement for the MBA as well as for the SIP during various courses. The placements are also in highly branded and value companies. However, the IPM programme which offers social and corporate internships provides an opportunity equal to the MBA course.
Infrastructure: The new Jagti campus is huge and highly oriented for students comfort and safety. Even though it is still in construction, basic facilities are well provided. Whereas, the CRC campus is cozy yet, a bit behind in infrastructure. Canal Road campus is totally IPM-oriented.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive yet the curriculum feels a bit hectic and it is not fully industry-oriented. However, the curriculum is good to build the base for it. The pedagogy is quite diverse, we have courses like happiness and mental wellness, visual arts and performing arts which dilate our horizons of thinking for corporate.

A good college to experience real college life.
Placements: 100 percent of placements were done in IIM Jammu, and the highest package for the last batch was INR 64 lacs per annum, and the average package was INR 16.5 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies were Aditya Birla Group, cognizant, ICICI Bank, Capgemini, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: In IIM Jammu, we have good infrastructure facilities that are well sufficient on both the permanent campus and the current campus. We have a library, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, and many indoor sports facilities. The food is just like the average hostel, and hostels are fine.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful as well as very approachable, and the quality of teaching meets expectations. The curriculum meets the needs to survive the industry, and coming to exams, it is okay because we have 10 courses; it's hard to write, and we have relatively low grading, which decreases our grades and makes us competitive.
Other: I chose this course because I was always passionate about becoming a businesswoman. The best thing about this course is the improvement in my communication skills. The things I wish would be better removed were relatively grading.

Life at a baby IIM - IIM Jammu .
Placements: IIM Jammu has a 100% placement record. The highest CTC stood at INR 64 LPA, while the average and median CTC stood at INR 16.50 LPA and 15.25 LPA respectively. IIM Jammu placement had recruiters from most prominent industry leaders like Amazon, Microsoft, McKinsey & Company, Adani Group, Cognizant, Deloitte, ICICI Bank among others. The highest number of offers were made in the Marketing/ Sales domain followed by General Marketing and Consulting.
Infrastructure: The main campus of IIM Jammu which is located in Jagti, Jammu is not fully constructed and only MBA students stay there however IPM students stay in Canal Road Campus, Jammu. In Jagti, for MBA individual rooms are available with ACs however in CRC there are 3 to 4 girls allocated for one room. Wi-fi is provided 24/7 with optimism speed. Classrooms can easily accommodate 90 students, have well functioning projectors, charging point, speakers etc. The library is also open 24/7 where students can book a slots for group discussions etc. There are also stores available inside the campus to purchase essential commodities and snacks as well. All in all, IIM Jammu is an example of state-of-the- art institution.
Faculty: The curriculum for IPM is well designed and provide exposure to diverse topics which helps us to broaden our thinking as management students. There are various courses other than the conventional business courses like Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Happiness and Mental Well being, Geography etc. These courses helps us to develop a new perspective about the things and helps refucing our biases. IIM Jammu's faculty members are mostly young ( less than 50 years old) and follows new and innovatioce pedagogical methods like video-making, role playing, classroom discussions among students etc. Assignments, projects, class participation, quizzes, exams are core part of evaluation process. Exams are conducted twice in a semester and they are moderate to difficult. The minimum requirement to continue for MBA is 5 GPA out of 10 GPA. The academic rigour is very high for IPM.
Other: The campus life at IIM Jammu is quite fun. It is often known as a student run campus and has various committees and clubs which provides students necessary skills like networking, planning to execution etc. Also in IIM Jammu, we celebrates all the festivals with same respect for every culture.

Q:   When will CAT 2023 result be declared for IIM Jammu admission?
A: 

For admission to IIM Jammu for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Jammu admission.

 

Q:   When will CAT 2026 take place for admission to IIM Jammu?
A: 

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2026 batch at IIM Jammu, the CAT test will be conducted on November. Aspirants of IIM Jammu are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam will be held in three slots:
