To get admission in IIM Kozhikode, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute selects students on an entrance basis. The students of PGP, PGP-BL and FPM programmes are required to reside on campus. Residential facilities in the campus include 13 student hostels and faculty guest houses. Roobaroo is a cultural event conducted every year during the induction of the new batch to acclimate students to IIMK culture and build a good on-campus community. The Students' Council facilitates elections to the other student committees on campus. Kozhikode Marathon Executive Committee of IIM Kozhikode has organized mini-marathon runs in Kozhikode annually. Yes, it is difficult to get admission in IIM Kozhikode. With it being one of the top IIMs, the admission chances are very slim. Only those who clear the high cutoff can get a seat in flagship PGP programme. The selection rate is said to be one in hundred.
