{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Courses at IISER KolkataBased on the student reviews and feedback, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Sc. courses at IISER Kolkata:* Limited Placements: According to several students, the number of placements is relatively low compared to the total number of graduates. Most students opt for higher education, research, or civil services instead of seeking employment immediately after graduation.* Focus on Higher Education and Research: IISER Kolkata prioritizes guiding students towards research and higher education, with many students opting for Ph.D.s or other postgraduate degrees.* Growing Placement Cell: While the placement cell is not yet fully established, efforts are underway to improve the situation. The institution aims to attract more R&D companies and enhance its ties with industries to boost placement opportunities.* Some Companies Visit Campus: Although rare, some companies like TCS and ITC Infotech occasionally visit the campus for recruitment purposes.* Entrepreneurship Opportunities: The institute has an Entrepreneurship Cell to encourage students to start their own ventures, offering another avenue for students looking beyond traditional placements.Overall, while the placement cell for B.Sc. courses at IISER Kolkata faces challenges, the institution recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for its students and is actively working to improve the situation.References: [Insert relevant student reviews and testimonials]

In my opinion both the institutions are good in there own way . Yes the IISER is good as presidency University Kolkata because IIISER is institutes are allowing the master projects outside the country and it is the best opportunity for the students to explore the Science field around the world . At the same time IISER is the one of the topmost research institute in Indian if you want to pursue your degree in research field . But don't take the institute depends on the name of the institutes because the job opportunities are based on the degree certificate not on the name of the institute. But it's okay to overview about the college.
