IIT Palakkad Academic and Research Facilities
IIT Palakkad provides academic and research facilities, including specialised labs for electronics, physics and civil engineering. These support research across chemistry, civil engineering, and more, utilising equipment like the High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster. The campus also features multimedia classrooms, a library, and Wi-Fi-enabled hostels, with academic spaces named Samgatha and a laboratory complex named Manogatha.

As the informatics centre of the Institute, the Central Library provides a great learning experience with a carefully developed collection of :

- subscription to several qualitative electronic journals for its users.
The library also has the support of the national consortium E-Shodh Sindhu (INFLIBNET) to fulfil the maximum journal requirements. The operations of the library are fully computerised and enabled with the RFID system for fast transactions, for ease of access, as well as for the security of the library. The library is also equipped with Wi-Fi and LAN facilities for unlimited high-speed internet access. Online facilities of the library are available 24/7/365 days for its registered users. IIT Palakkad Sports Facilities
IIT Palakkad has a wide range of sporting facilities. These include those for cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, chess, and athletics. There are well-equipped gymnasiums in both Nila and Ahalia campuses, along with fitness instructors to practice fitness routines. The IIT Palakkad's central library operations are fully computerized. The library houses a collection of 2700 books including reference resources. Also incorporated a collection of audio-visual materials such as CD-ROM, scientific kits,magazines and newspapers.Library is enabled with Wi-Fi and LAN facility The library users are also registered with the National Digital Library sponsored by MHRD.
- Hostel
Hostels are spacious, double shared rooms with attached toilets in every room, access to WiFi and recreational facilities. Also have a separate dining block with mess facility.Each hostel has a common room for recreation which has a television, news papers and selected magazines. There are guest rooms for visitors to the Institute faculty, staff and students.The hostel have limited sports facility such as table tennis, volley ball / ball-badminton courts etc.Medical facility is also available.Security guards take care of the safety round the clock and the building has been covered through CCTV surveillance. The students have medical insurance and a full fledged hospital in the campus takes care of any medical emergencies.

Infrastructure Reviews
Infrastructure: The specialized equipment and apparatus required for laboratories are maintained in proper conditions to provide accurate results during experimentation. For master's courses in all the departments, only 40 seats are available. Seats are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Infrastructure: College officials provide seats to the students based on both direct admission and merit admission. All their activities were officially published on their official website, keeping them updated on the social platform. The Institute had consistently been a part of preparing young talent for the nation.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are too good. Campus is spread across 504 acres, which is near the Western Ghats. Wi-Fi and classrooms are best. In every class, projector is available, and well-stocked library is present on campus. Food quality is good, and separate hostels are available on the campus.
Infrastructure: It's nice that each branch has its own building and labs. The college and hostels offer Wi-Fi. The digital screens are installed in the projector classrooms. The college contains a cricket pitch, followed by a badminton pitch and a basketball court. On campus, you can play indoor games like TT, chess, carrom, and more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, and sports facilities are all available on campus, which is excellent. The food in the college canteen is good, and the hostels are very nice. I didn't face any infrastructure issues during my time. There is also a free clinic for students in need, and we have a very good library.
Infrastructure: It's a campus where even the unknown strangers immediately help us when we reach out to them. It's a cool, hill hostel with fewer conditions, but it's mandatory to fill out the hostel records while living and entering the hostel zones. Transport facilities are available for good safety purposes.
Infrastructure: Possibilities for exploring industrial visits, and tours are very less but students are allowed for such activities at least once a year. Immediate suspension is raised from the side of college management if we are involved in any unnecessary activities. Food shortages often occur in the canteen zones.
Infrastructure: It is a little far from the college. But I chose to reside in the college hostel. Hostel food is okay, but I crave my home food. So I left the college every weekend, and it required a lot of approval. It is a phenomenal college with good moral values.
Placements: The percentage of recruitment from the computer science and engineering department is up to 75% randomly and it is the highest when compared with other courses. The type of training decided by ourselves to attend would decide the pay gained by us in the future. I chose the extreme level of training so I got a package of 13.5 LPA.
Placements: The comprehensive course curriculum and diverse career opportunities in electronics offer students a wide range of prospects, from embedded systems, telecommunication and VLSI design. The mean package provided to the hired students would potentially between 4.3 LPA to 6.17 LPA.
Placements: Our college placement team only allows students with zero backlogs for placement recruitment. While others are required to attend drives for the companies offering the lowest salary packages. Mostly top performers in academics got placed in good companies and rest of them got placed in other companies.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure and facilities available for our course are average. Classrooms and labs are outdated and getting old. The hostel rooms are small and comfortable. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is hygienic. No time to play sports.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here was excellent and all facilities were available for students including Wi-Fi, labs, a library, sports facilities and medical services. The campus life was amazing and all necessary amenities were provided to students. The food quality in the canteen was very good with a variety of options available.
Infrastructure: Fully climate-controlled classes with comfortable seating for a limited number of students are there. Also, sitting is arranged with drawers and lockers for keeping our books and notes safe and to avoid overloading of the students. We should also be accessible to online learning platforms in case it is needed.
Infrastructure: For every department, there were usually 8 to 10 classrooms with required features like smart boards, green boards, projectors, and laptops or computers. To protect students from health issues. A hygienic environment was maintained with clean restrooms and sanitized study areas.
