IMI Kolkata PGDM is a postgraduate management course that runs for two years. This flagship course of the Institute runs for a duration of two years. The IMI Kolkata PGDM course is also treated as an MBA equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Moreover, under this programme, the institute offers various specialisations.
IMI Kolkata PGDM admissions are offered based on students performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT. For further evaluation, students are invited for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Moreover, admissions are only possible if students fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

IMI Kolkata offers courses in Diploma and doctoral-level. The flagship course offered by the Institute is Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). PGDM is two years full-time programme with summer internship with Institute’s partners. In second year candisates can choose their interested specialisation : Finance, Economics, Operational Management, OBHR (Organisational Behaviour), Marketing, Management Information Systems & Analytics and Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
PGDM is the flagship course offered by IMI Kolkata equivalent to MBA covers two years. The PGDM course curriculum covers courses such as Simulation-based Courses, Negotiation Skills, Analytics, Entrepreneurship and New Venture Development, etc. The course is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) with effect from 2016. The programme is also internationally accreditation by AMBA. Meanwhile, during IMI Kolkata PGDM placements 2023, the highest package offered was INR 14 LPA, while the median package stood at INR 10.50 LPA. BFSI sector recruited 46% of the total students and Amazon, EY, and Deloitte were among the top recruiters. Additionally, more than 14 PPOs were made.
