IIIT Kalyani: The greatest teach hub.
Placements: Currently, no students have been placed in the ECE program as it was newly started at our college this year. This will be the first year for placements in ECE, and we are optimistic that it will be a successful one. Students from the CSE department have already secured positions at companies like Amazon, TCS, Goldman Sachs, and many other leading tech firms.
Infrastructure: We have not been assigned our permanent campus yet, but it is nearly ready, and we will be moving to the new hostel soon. The facilities provided are excellent. We also have a collaboration with Kalyani University, which allows us to engage in sports activities and enhance our skills, ultimately helping us represent our college better.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly cooperative, and they are also graduates from top universities and even some from IITs and NITs. By studying at IIIT Kalyani, students can gain real industry experience, as our curriculum is designed with practical exposure in mind, and we follow a relative grading system.
Other: I have a great interest in VLSI and chip design, which is why I chose to pursue ECE at IIIT Kalyani. Here, we have access to 5G labs that provide us with valuable experience related to current industry trends.

My experience in IIIT Kalyani.
Placements: Companies come at the end of eighth semester with software engineer, developed, and data scientist roles. The companies are genuine, and are hiring with assignments and interviews. Here professional experience including academic performance matters for your placement scenarios.
Infrastructure: The college does not have permanent campus. The permanent campus is under construction. We are having many problems in the temporary campus. Many students have to live out of the hostel on rent due to improper facilities provided by the administration and also there is lack of support.
Faculty: We have knowledgeable, good, and experienced faculty members with their best teaching. Here the academic curriculum is well managed with ideal exams conduct and also the project and the report submission. Professors are cooperative with their work with students and are also very friendly.
Other: Initially, there were no events. But with time, it became more social by organizing events.

Only take admission in this college if you want the IIIT tag.
Placements: There are campus drives being conducted where companies recruit. I don't have any idea of what companies will visit yet as the drive in our college hasn't started yet. Last year, the number of students placed on campus was around 50 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to try off-campus placement. The highest package was around 30 LPA and the average was around 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities here are very poor; everything is so scattered. There is no permanent campus, and even after coming here, everyone is saying the campus will not be allotted for now. The hostel facilities are not well managed. We have a fully air-conditioned building, and we play sports in Kalyani stadium, such as swimming, cricket, football, and indoor games too. Our library has all types of books related to the courses.
Faculty: The faculty members are all very nice and rounded people. You will get proper guidance if you reach out. What I liked the most is Admit Ranjan Sir and Uma Das Mam. They are very knowledgeable in their own field and also help us with things other than academics.
Other: The curriculum courses are nice as we don't have to study core subjects like Chemistry and Architecture that are not related to our field. I would say we need more technical subjects rather than core subjects, so I hope they improve on that part as there have been some talks about adding more such courses, for example, Quantum Computing. There are two exams in a semester: one is mid-sem and the other is end-sem. Professors also conduct class tests from time to time.

Quite good placements.
Placements: The average package is around 9-10 LPA. Some top companies visit the campus. Interviews are usually conducted in online mode. We mainly get offers from companies for software development engineer roles, but other roles like data analyst, UI/UX engineer are also there.
Infrastructure: As we have a temporary campus, the hostels are also temporary. The hostel food is not at all good, but things have improved in comparison to last year. Labs and classrooms are almost okay. There are facilities for games and swimming, but in other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable and also helpful, but the curriculum is quite difficult. Exams are held very frequently. Also, in between exams, we get assignments for different subjects, and lab exams are held in between the exams. Overall, the curriculum is quite difficult.
Other: No fests are held by the college, but the college conducts a hackathon every year.

The condition of the college is getting better every year.
Placements: Currently the placement percentage is about 89% and is increasing from past years. The highest package is about 44 LPA (on-campus placement). The lowest package is around 4.3 LPA. The average and median salaries are 10.7 LPA and 9 LPA, respectively. Many top recruiters are coming to this college and are increasing every year, like Jio, Goldman Sachs, MAQ Software, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Many of the students have done there internship in good companies like IISC Bangalore, Goldman Sachs, Hyperverge, Unico, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at IIIT Kalyani is good. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. Each and every classroom is cleaned every day. The Wi-Fi is available all day and with good speed. Recently, 5G Labs have also been setup in the college. The library is a very good place to study in the college at free time. There is availability of most of the books that are needed and also more than that.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in the college. They will help you with the doubts in an interactive way. If you are interested in doing any projects, they will help you out in that. The teachers are highly qualified. Almost every faculty has done there Ph.D. from well-known IITs. The course makes a student ready for the industry. The semester exams are not so hard. The pass percentage is almost 100%.
Other: This course built up the base for Computer Science Engineering. To cheer the students up, the student body of the college is always up to organise some events.

Good faculty members and poor infrastructure.
Placements: For the batch of 2023-2024, 89.33% of students got placed. The highest package is 44 LPA and the lowest is 4.29 LPA. The average package is 10.72 LPA. Reliance, Jio, Infosys, Wipro, and Deloitte are top recruiting companies. Top roles offered are software developer, data analyst, and AI/ML engineer. A major setback is that most of the placements are off-campus.
Infrastructure: AC classrooms, digital boards, Wi-fi, well-equipped laboratories, and library are available. Medical facilities are not available. Food and water quality gets worse and no improvement is seen. Hostel is good but lacks security measure.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with good knowledge about their subject. The teaching quality is up to the mark. Course curriculum is helpful for the industry and placements oriented. Semester exams are not so difficult with a relative grading system. Faculty members are good and interactive.
